Just stumbled upon your channel, as I'm a fan of kei trucks. I was just checking out what others have done, and see you're working on a K-swapped Kei 😎😁 Big ups for being a local. I'm near Shelby, NC. Best of luck as this project continues
I just got a 95 Suzuki carry with ac the lift kit coming in today I’m in nc it’s nice seeing more kei trucks running around Charlotte and Gastonia area I picked up my truck from Mayberry mini trucks in Mount airy nc . Can’t wait too see your build .
@@insaneimports_official I’ll keep you posted might try and do a TH-cam video of it also the snow plow is arriving as well. I’m going too make a the front hitch and back hitch as well. Waiting on the title.
Nope! When the stock motor blew a head gasket it was either fix that or do the swap. I always wanted to do the k swap in the Acty and it seemed like a good opportunity to go for it.
@@insaneimports_official awesome thanks. I’ve just started binge watching your channel. I can’t wait till you finish. I’m in Miami but my son lives in Charlotte. I’ll have to stop by on my next trip. Keep up the good work kid.
You see Lots of Hayabusa swaps on TH-cam but not one in the style of Tractor Pull builds imagine 4 or 5 Suzuki Hayabusa engines on One Kei Truck i am not certain but i think they use V-Drives to achieve multi engine power there is a lotta details i don't understand on how they get power to the drive axles with 4 to 5 or even 6 to 8 engines even
The strange muffler system looks like heater ducts that dont communicate with the exhaust. It's a separate chamber. You will have to get heat to keep you warm from another source off the new engine once you trash those. Hold on to them and try to sell them 1st.
Why did you not start by removing the bed? it seems to me, that would be the first thing to do, then you could measure things up, and figure how to fit the larger engine.
One of the biggest things I hate about 1990's cars is the plastic dashes. Not so much the style but the poor quality of plastic. During that era they are hard to find in good shape and need special attention to keep them in good shape. If you are lucky enough to have a good one try to maintain it because some brands you cant buy anymore like the Subaru BRAT I used to have. The engine had a whopping 60 hp and 2000lb and I thought that was low hp. I think the Kei trucks are around 1600 to 1800 lbs and my old VW beetle was 1800 40 hp some are 2000lbs I put a 160 hp engine in the beetle and 300 hp 2.0 turbo engine and full drive train. in the Subaru. Both cars were absolutely amazing sleeper cars that car take out most any car stop light to stop light. My next project is the same as yours. I will keep in touch looking at V-TEC engines and transmission set ups.
Yeah those are nice. I share tools between my house garage and powder coating shop and that day the sawzall wasn’t able to grace us with its presence. We made do 😂
We didn’t want to damage anything. It’s been a while since that video. Check out more recent videos and you’ll see I have plans for the original motor. 😁
If this is how you decide to start a channel then you are going to be massive for sure, love it
Thanks! We’ve put in a lot of effort and are going to do our best to keep it up. 😁👍
No 👎
Absolutely love it!!!!! Can’t wait to get these trucks together!!!!
You and me both!
You're putting an RB in yours right Josh?
@@gtrSpidey using lots of RB parts. So technically we’re making an RB05 haha
Can’t wait to see this hit the streets!
Yes!!

Thank you! Appreciate you checking us out!
Awesome stuff, can't wait to see it!
This thing is going to roll!
Lets see you complete it.so many people start and never finish it.I did the Subaru Sambar gsxr 750 about 10 years ago
It’s a task but we’re up for it! Tune in each Wednesday for updates 😁
You deserve way views, this video is very well made❤
Thank you so much! I’d like to think they actually improved after we did our first episode. Appreciate your compliment.
Soooo shiny!
Only the finest bronzers ;-)
That little truck looks so cool I want to get one
Totally worth it!
Does the bed not just lift off? Giving you way more access?
That would be nice but it doesn’t come off. It’s a unibody.
@@insaneimports_official Do you know how it works with the Kei trucks that have a dump bed?
It is the same truck with a secondary bed mounted on top
@@insaneimports_official Ahh.. Well that puts my head scratching to ease haha. Love the truck!
Anytime!
This build is awesome. Any chance you can share the measurement between frame rails where the motor sits?
Thanks! It’s 32”
If there is that much room, you could probably put an ej 2.5 motor in it they are 28in wide
YES! This is awesome!
Right?!

We’ll definitely subscribe if you post a channel with videos.
Was there any consideration for a smaller swap before just jumping to k24? The E07zt for example.
Nope! When the stock motor blew a head gasket it was either fix that or do the swap. I always wanted to do the k swap in the Acty and it seemed like a good opportunity to go for it.
Im starting to think there is an underground community of Acty owners in NC. Most of the videos I see are from NC. Can’t wait to get one myself!
There are several in the area. Gotta love it! Import one yourself to save $.
Which kie truck do you think is easiest to work on?
I only know the Acty and Honda is within my realm of knowledge, so the answer to that may be biased 😁
Does the engine got to be k-24 or can you use a different engine like VVT-i 16?
If you dream it, you can build it. None of these engines were supposed to go into this thing, but where there’s a will there’s a way.
@@insaneimports_official cool thanks I'm planning something I'm hoping it'll come out how I want
Good luck, sir!
Awesome video buddy 👍
Thank you! Subscribe to keep up with the build 😁
@insaneimports
I just bought a 1998 2WD. What tire and wheel size were you fit? Backspacing??
Nice! We’re running 14x7 +19. I don’t have the tire specs on me right now but they’re mentioned in another video. 😊
@@insaneimports_official awesome thanks. I’ve just started binge watching your channel. I can’t wait till you finish. I’m in Miami but my son lives in Charlotte. I’ll have to stop by on my next trip. Keep up the good work kid.
Thanks for the support! 😁👍
I have a 1996 diahatsu atrai and want to swap engine for something haha any recomendation/starting points
Not as familiar with those 😬
A 2JZ would be cool 😎😂
Do you still have the shafts I need some
I keep all my spare parts for my other trucks
That tire tried rolling back to japan 😂
Haha, yeah it sure did!

😵💫😵💫😵💫
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
😁👍
Can I get the manual transmission from the original setup
Unfortunately not. I’m keeping all parts for back up for my other trucks.
It’s just none stop adds.
I’ll give TH-cam a call and see what I can do about that 🤣
🔥🔥🔥 I see you guys are in NC, would you guys do this swap for someone? How much would it cost?
Unfortunately not enough time to make that happen
@@insaneimports_official I def understand, thank you
The strange muffler system looks like heater ducts that dont communicate with the exhaust. It's a separate chamber. You will have to get heat to keep you warm from another source off the new engine once you trash those. Hold on to them and try to sell them 1st.
I keep everything 😊👍
Why did you not start by removing the bed? it seems to me, that would be the first thing to do, then you could measure things up, and figure how to fit the larger engine.
The bed on the Acty is not removable
@@insaneimports_official Another reason to like my Hijet better.

Awesome man! Thanks for following along. Hoping to have this thing running sooner than later.
This is a great idea. I'd love to get a mini truck but man there's no power in them lmao
Haha yeah, they’re super slow stock. Still fun though.
Tiny truck, Tiny truck!
Smiles per gallon!
I'm a year late, but I hope you didn't put a fuel cell up on the bed. You can't afford the loss of space.
I decided to put it under the bed 👍
I like Mini Truck
😁👍
Im new here anx i love it😙😙😙
Welcome! Glad you’re enjoying the episodes!
👍
Back at ya! 👍
Maybe seek out a Crashed Lexus FA to get a Toyota V-10 engine
That would be wild
Forget painting it some wild color? How about powder coating it some wild color? All over & under
Great idea but I’ll probably stick with paint
It may have been easier to swap a fireblade 999cc or a goldwing flat4...
We aren’t going for easy 😜
"rusted" laughs in Canadian
😂
99% of FWD cars(including Hondas), the c.v. axle nut holds the wheel bearing 😊
Standard Honda wheel bearings are pressed into the hubs/knuckles and are not secured by an axel nut.
We have the same name

THUMBS DOWN FOR YOUR HAR
Thanks! I do what I can ;-)
Long HAR don’t CAR 😂
07:00 theres this awesome thing called a sawzall you should check it out

Kei pronounced Kay. Not Key.
Thank you for the correction, kind sir 👑 🤝
Um, not reusing the engine so why not snap those studs and pull rip that mf manifold off?? 😂 so much pushing and pulling on the ground
