- Harry Potter star Rupert Grint talks to Jeremy Clarkson on the Top Gear sofa. Rupert reveals his personal collection of cars, which include an ice-cream van and a hovercraft, and is shocked to learn that his car may have had a problem with the breaks! Poor Rupert. Jeremy is throwing all kinds of back-handed shade at him and he just takes it all in good stride. I've read that Rupert would park his ice cream truck and hands out cones to kids for hours. Seems like a decent guy. Hilarious in Wild Target. Looking forward to the rest of his career!
I also heard he would get cast members to help him. Ice cream from Professor Dumbledore. In costume. But yes he seems really grounded, and wants nothing to do with fame anymore.
If that's true, I'm moving to the UK!

I wonder if Rupert doesn't have much noticeable work after the HP films because he's taking a break or if people just don't want to cast him. He deserves the spotlight if you ask me.
Dave Bryan Well, with 24 million pounds or so in the bank, he can afford to be choosy about parts! Check his IMDB, he's been doing 2-4 things a year since HP, and also did a stint on Broadway. But as JKR and DR said in their interview with each other, "He's living the dream!" Giving kids free popsicles from his Mr. Whippy ice cream truck, taking his hovercraft for a spin around the garden...he knows how to have a good time!
+Dave Bryan He was in "Into the Snow".Saw it awhile back and it was a decent movie.He was excellent no bad acting.He was going to star in a comedy sitcom but the network didn't pick it up.The pilot was pretty good and actually funny at times.He's also been in a couple of flops that I haven't seen but I doubt he could do anything about it except try and get out of the contract.

apart from the fact that rupert grint seems like a top bloke, and whats cooler than starring on top gear when it was actually worth starring on, this young man is a lesson for us all, find something that you love to do while you are very young, and stick with it, and as the years go by you can only improve and get better at what you do, and as a few famous people have possibly let success go there head, rupert seems to be a down to earth, and lovely human being, and this has to be perhaps true of someone starring in one of the most famous film series ever, and i even think that there is a lesson to be learned here about bullying, or at least possibly being ginger, at least one way seems to be as an adult have people around you who love you, and it no doubts helps that when he was about 10 or whatever, while other little boys were having a childhood, where they perhaps do not know what they wanted to do in the future, which is fine because we all at least some time in our early lives where we can just play, this young man got his self a film career, and off course were not also talking about him perhaps starring in one film, and then thats his lot, and despite the fact that we all loved him in said film, we didn`t really care if we watched it ever again, and also possibly didn`t care about what happened to that young child actor either, and yet instead that young boy not only starred perhaps in some of the most famous and brilliant films ever, even more importantly it does not seem to have messed him up, and it has possibly done with at least some poor child actors, so to watch this fine young man on top gear grow into a nice and kind adult, is lovely and a joy, and as rupert grint is not only ginger, but is also a prince among gingers, i can only hope that this at least gives hope to other gingers out there, because if at least one ginger kid can possibly rise above what others think of them and make a success of there lives, and because of this there has to be a bit more hope in the world.
