Realized this is the video I wanted to comment on. I've been experimenting a lot in wotd and this build is more or less what I want to do. Thanks for making it, I was having a lot of issues with surviving hits once I got to region 6 and B agility is my comfort zone for mix setting with single katana. Thank you so much for making this video, I needed to see this.
I'm still running master swordsman dual and single sword armour, with lightening dual swords and paralysis katana. I feel I've invested too much to change them now! I can't one shot anything, but survivability is much better now for demon.
With revenant trading its honestly pretty easy to have multiple builds. I have a water sword and spear/ninjutsu build I put together. It has some stat crossover so it makes things a little easier, but I think that's the best way to play around with multiple builds if your time is limited. Don't feel intimidated by respecing and farming for new stuff! That's part of the fun of the game.
Tagger the tagg the Nioh subreddit has a link to the discord which has a trading channel. Get in there and ask for help, everyone is super friendly and will to help get you what you need.

in all honesty, i hate one shot the boss builds since it takes out the fun and challenge in nioh 1 and 2. Also if you have the demon horde dlc armor, i just made a basic axe and odachi build that when paired with the atlas bear (and at least 2 of the DH armor pieces), every grapple will heal about 450 (if target is killed) points health combined with the heal on amrita absorption which is at max 36 points of health per tick of Amrita (about 5 ticks when you grapple a yoki). Basic yes, but, good for sustaining your health without using elixirs (if your good enough). Also this build is meant for breaking guards for easy grapples
@@YeOldeMachina put about 40 to 50 points of stamina in and you can move around in it like it is medium armor. Also the life recovery on melee kill and yokai shift damage buff are pretty damn good
@@sdgamer1860 I've never really used heavy armor much in nioh 1 or 2, but I was close to the end of NG and sold everything to soul match my master archer set, and I didnt have enough to soul match it, and I just sold literally all my stuff...so I went and crafted a demon horde set. I felt strong as hell after that. Being able to tank hits and have hyper armor is nice, too. My stamina wasnt very high tho. I'll try it out with a high stamina stat. 👍
Legendary strategist 5 pieces + 6 pieces Benzi grace is also a very nice build. You can destroy enemies’ ki in no time, while also having A toughness and agility *and* versatility buff, which increase your damage whenever you use different skills. Quite fun to say the least.
The_777th _Joker you know not everyone watches their videos. Let me guess, when people use Kato’s set + tengen + poison prior to DLC = they’re watching his videos.? If you even bothered learning what DoTD wants you to do, then you should know that you need to deplete enemies’ ki to dispel the curse. And the legendary strategist + yumihame give you 45%+ melee ki damage. And versatility gives you 60%+ melee damage at 9 stacks. You don’t need to watch any guide if you actually *PLAY* the game. Edit : not saying fightincowboy’s videos are bad, I personally don’t watch any build videos, since they can be easily outdated and not to my liking.
Thank you! Though I mentioned in the video that Nue was an option, and suits it really well but the extra accumulation and lightning damage isn't worth switching for any of the other cores I'm using :)

I've beaten the game two times from both dreams (samurai and steong) and the builds I have are useless now so I have a few questions: Is there an optimal mission/spot where you can level up fast in the dream of the demon? Is there a place right now in the game where you can farm gauntlets with attack stat? I would really appreciate if you can answer them, keep at the good work on your videos!!
Hey this video inspired me to go katana/dual sword. Tho i dont know how you do it but how do you deal with guarding opponents with katana. Dual sword moonshadow and god of wind do so much break damage with minimal ki consumption but i struggle so hard with sword againts humans and revenants
That's the way I like to play. I try not to use the OP shit unless I'm farming. It's no fun to one shot everything. I did entire NG just leveling random shit on purpose so I didnt get too strong. I also like hybrid builds because I get bored using one weapon

I just want to say if you think that build is good and you like the way it plays I say go for it, i have a Thunder God dual Samurai build but it is die hard armor and Golden Boy, the Diehard for the sword The Golden Boy for the dual swords I actually happened to crap lightning on both of my sword and my dual swords and my sword turned out pretty sweet it works for me, and it matches the way that I play

Sure, you put a lot of science in your build and definitely you have deep knowledge of this game. But watching all your builds intro - skill is the most important and yours is outstanding.
@@MrNuclearz that's true though I've made my build relying on the last boss skill by spamming and healing with ninjutsu anima on hit aaa+ and ninjutsu heal on hit aaa+. Does well on 90% of the dotd just not against human bosses
I wouldn't mind the health if they didn't do so much damage.... Nothing worse than spending 10 minutes on a boss only to be melted randomly by some bullshit move. I honestly don't know how anyone is meant to get through this with light armor.
@Onigiri Otaku they do in the dark realm. Shit gets real in there... It's really not bad when you have heavy armor but I struggled a bit while using light armor. Maybe I just suck, who knows.
I managed to get active skill damage on everything but the chest. I spent 4 fucking hours trying to roll it but I said fuck that and settled for active skill ki damage lol, that shit is ridiculous.

Dude, has kasha always been this good or did her core get a buff? I recently swapped to hers and can't believe I have missed how good her core ability is. I use her to scorch enemies and then inflict lightning for chaos super quick and then i melt bosses with Dragon dance with splitstaff...its insane how much dmg and the length of time kashas core stays out!

Sword and dual sword has been my favorite build since nioh 1. I'm doing master swordsman for now till I get the gear for this build.

Demon horde armor isnt bad at all.

For this you should find a sword you like then rea craft to Raikiri sword it has electric coming from it

He has lightning imbued. As for the grapple it's a move you get from yoshitatsu saito. It absorbs anima

Better have lot of untouched ninjutsu... These bosses have so much health most times you run out of kunai

Soul cores can be up to rank 20 in the dream of the demon. I used Kasha too it go up to AA for life drain. Lol.
Yeah I noticed you can get divine cores that let you transfer the rarity as well

Are level 180 gear drop rate about the same as 170 gear before DLC? I picked up a 180 armour but no idea when I did, only found out later.
