Hi all, hope to get some tips here, since I have a annoying problem with my Magura disc breaks and Nobby Nic tires. The disc is resonaring at around 20km/h. I tried to dismount and rerighten the disc again, but with no better result. It still makes a strange sound like singing and vibrating. Even when I take off the wheel and ping the disc with some tools I can hear this resonant frequency. Is there any way of damping? I‘m thinking about applying some rubber bands or something... please help :-/
Metal pads last longer but wear out your rotor quicker, they are also better for wet weather and mud. If your rotors say resin pad only that means harder metal (sintered) pads will destroy it.
You make some mistakes in this video. Torque wrench is made for final tightening. So, it is not good idea to wrench bolts. Do it with hex keys until they come to end and then just apply final push with torque wrench. Torque wrench you must hold on handlebar. It is different torque in different position. If you have blue Loctite on bolts, torque will not be correct. You must clean every bolt and then put new (liquid) Loctite.
They way that he is holding the torque wrench is not correct, one should always hold it from the handle, different hand position changes the actual torque measured at the end

Second, it is a simple physics, torque is depended on the distance( radius) from the pivoting point, Google torque or watch the parktool vid talking about torque wrench to understand the physics. Third, the point of me "not uploaded anything better" it is one of the most rediculous argument one can give. If one do not uploaded "something better" does it mean that the comment isn't valid?!? If so most ppl on TH-cam, including you, shouldn't comment on any vid anything "bad" or" whine"
You are correct, torque is based on levers essentially and by holding the wrench that close to the bolt the torque levels might be off a bit compared with holding the wrech at the handle. Would it make much of a difference? Not really. Personally i don't bother with torque wrenches anyway and just use my own judgement.
the torque wrench click at specefic torque, it is independant of the position of the hand. holdin the wrench close to the pivot point only increase the force you migth apply

Ralf Pieper maybe the pads have movement, mine does so they kinda sound a lil bit when i jump or get into rock gardens

The loctite indeed changes the torque, but I want to have a lower torque when either loctite, or an assembly paste is used.
Loctite is applied from factory. Makes no difference. It doesn't change the torque by much.
