If I may suggest a much easier method to recruiting Minthara and Halsin together (if you're willing to sacrifice the Tieflings): Have a familiar budge the Idol so that the Druids aggro the Tieflings while your party is out of the grove. If you then dismiss the familiar (I like Shovel since it's thematic and Quasit has invisibility) and long rest, the following morning they will have performed the Rite of Thorns. If you rescue Halsin after the Rite is completed, you can tell him and he loses all interest in the Goblin plot and goes straight to your camp. You can then just proceed to Moonrise and recruit Minthara that way. Side benefit is that this route does not impact your companions views about the fate of the Tieflings (i.e. Whyll/Karlach). Meaning since their deaths are not on your hands, they will proceed in the story with you rather naturally and fluidly.
@@elvenring What do you mean, the Druids killed the Tieflings not you. She sticks around. You may have missed the read more, Whyll and Karlach have no issue with this decision. EDIT: The crux of the strategy is to have the party away from the Grove while this occurs (which is why a Familiar and in my case, Shovel is used to move the idol so it can be dismissed or killed immediately upon triggering the wrath of the druids). You don't participate in the combat. You just rest up and let the cards fall how they may so to speak. If you don't actually steal the idol and the druids are victorious they will perform the Rite. If you move areas too quickly they will perform the Rite (and Minthara kills Halsin as well if I'm not mistaken). However, by deliberately triggering the Rite while in the area allows you to tell a still alive Halsin that it is completed. He realizes that this means all the Tieflings are gone and his need for killing the Goblin leaders vanishes. You also get different Emperor dialogue as well as Minthara dialogue options for choosing this path. Since you didn't help her butcher the grove, the scene where she questions you about it doesn't exist and you are given a different set of options.
This is going to mean you can't do Karlach's story because the Tiefling smith isn't available. Though, I'm not sure that matters, since they did Karlach dirty and didn't give her a single good ending anyway. It's really aggravating they locked an awesome companion behind so many bad, game-ruining choices. I think I'm just going to use the mod off Nexus to summon her and not mess up other stuff.

At which point my response is this: If your goal is to have all companions AND be able to romance Karlach, this strategy is obviously not the correct one. If you move zones, from a "story perspective" Minthara eventually goes down to the cells to talk with and kill Halsin. So you need to save him before this story event occurs.
The person who figured this out deserves a Pulitzer Prize. It'd be nice if Larian would just let us use "KO, then recruit" on her, the same way you can with Minsc in Act III.
Thing is, Minsc is a very different person from Minthara. And personally speaking, the point of the game *is* choice. As in, the choices matter. I feel picking Minthara is a way to signal to the game that you're picking a definitively evil choice.

It's a matter of taste, some only do 1 or 2 mods, others do 1000, for whatever reason. It can make the game look better or in this case, of BG3, it adds more presets for heads, hair, tattoos, subclasses, cheats, classes, races, qol, community fixes, equipment, levels and I can keep going. It's to subjective as for the reasons behind why people mod. So I can't really answer that question completely.

I did it on my recent play through and the only mods I have installed are cosmetic additions to eye/hair options. Non-lethal her for the leadership quest. She's condemned to die in Moonrise (no need to escort her there... only from the cage to the front gate) and she turns up in camp.
The whole sheep polymorph thing is highly unnecessary. She will appear and get scolded by Kethric once you enter the throne room. All you have to do is pass a speech check and she’ll be taken away to the dungeons where everything else is the same as this video.
Or just .... turn on non lethal damage during the Grove siege knock her out and she simply appears in the cutscene with Throm as usual. This is the most complicated way of doing this ever!

I mean sometimes when I speak with NPCS they somehow asume that I already Sid quest that I didn't do yet or they restart entairly And act as we never met and I have to do IT all over, also... You can somehow "leave Tav" in camp And play as others?! How how you have half of this stuff.... I kinda feel that even tho I bought "all available" I ended up with basicly not what you have, hell my characters don't even seem to interact with each other offscrean noone has crush on noone

really depends on how. Making some choice inherently lock each other out at all times sort of makes things a mess of their own. I don't think it's a "choices don't matter" because you can still get the conclusion of added companions... I think this is still a choices matter because there are additional snippets of content to explore depending on HOW you handled events. edit: saying this as knocking her out as part of the taking out goblin leadership is part of the game as an option and she makes her way to Moonrise to face Thorm and his punishment on her own. You can then choose to see to her fate either by killing her or freeing her. Odd thing being that despite the obvious hostilities that should be present I saw NO interaction between her and Halsin at camp at all despite taking the same tent.
@bartofii if you side with Minthara, she is still punished as if she failed to take the grove, which makes no sense, so knocking her out to get her to moonrise while should be option however, she should appear there either way (i.e have her retreat from the grove fight after killing x enemies or her hp going under x number). If you destroy the grove, have throm reward then have her want to overthrow Throm to take his position so you get the effects of having player choice matter, keep the companion and in the game and you can still have the same overall story no matter what choice the PC might make.
@bartofii regardless knocking her out in Act 1, shouldn't be the only way to get her to Act 2, but you should still get locked out of certain content because of choices you made or didn't make like killing minsc causes Jaheira to leave and you don't get help from the harpers or destroying the grove makes wyll and karlach leave
@MadConMan I still feel like this is focusing on a forced choice that in itself can invalidate your choices of how you managed to handle a number of other quest interactions. And given how Minthara turns out.. they don't seem all that comparable to say... another character's obligation to murder another companion and prove their death

Yeah, they changed it a while ago. We used to have to do the weird sheep glitch though, bad times were had.

Might be because Thorm didn't care about the Grove at all and she failed in to secure the objective of the Artifact.
