It’s an amazing machine, Ive had my R3R Black Edition now For 3 weeks and its in the dealers for its first service. I love it though my partner wants the sissy bar and a more comfy seat, so the dealer is fitting them this week while its in for its service. The ride is very smooth and power delivery is the same, not snatchy at all but pull that throttle open and bang away it goes ...... awesome
Hiya great video. Been looking at one of these for a while I bought a new Honda shadow years ago when I lived in Canada. Loved that bike was so chilled out to ride. Always fancied another cruser bike. I ride a KTM 890R and love it would not sell that one. But rocket 3r is gonna be a great addition pick it up July 1st can’t wait. 221 paint job hopper red and sapphire black. Wish there was a rocket three club in Uk. I would be all over that. 👍😎
I've been riding my R3GT for 5 thousand Kms and I couldn't be more happy. Of course this can be your only bike. It's a gorgeous cruiser bike with a tremendous presence but it's also so nimble that you wouldn't believe. No need of a second bike, unless you want to go enduro!!
I have this bike and it's superb. The only downside is the exhaust sound, which is crap. I solved that problem by putting on a Werkes Exhaust from the USA. Now it sounds Awesome and I really mean Awesome, not to mention around 10kg lighter.
Had my GT 3 weeks just love it I also have the 2004 Rocket111 there is such a difference from a lazy arm chair of a bike to a cruiser that feels a bit sporty by the way I also own a Hayabusa 2nd gen this new bike is going to be the only one in the stable I decided that it will fulfill al my needs and I,m 60 years old still young enough to pick it up like I have had to with the old one new one is lighter
Brilliantly engineered but I confess I'd be intimidated by the weight. I'm 64 next month and have been riding since I was 16 and still at school. When my own 1000cc bike, which weighs about 460lbs fully fuelled, slipped off its sidestand a couple of years ago, I picked it up unaided. I couldn't have picked this machine up in former lives as gravedigger and refuse collector, when I had muscles like Popeye. Met a chap on the Gower Coast once, who had the previous model, and he had a turntable fitted to his garage floor.
Hi Michael yes it’s an absolutely amazing bike to ride and the weight is hardly noticeable when rolling and even at very low speeds. But wouldn’t like to pick it up should the worst happened. Cheers Jake
Do remember whether the engine produces vibration at or above 4000 RPMs? I remember reading that on another review. Also, how was the suspension? Thanks!
Jeeez that is one mahusive machine seen a few around for me just to much bulk but I do find it strangely appealing she does look kinda nice and to contradict myself sort of compact when ya think of the engine size . : ) ;
Hi Malcolm I was very impressed with the rocket tbh it rides beautifully and that torque was unreal. Definitely recommend a test ride even if you’re not into the cruiser scene. Take care Jake.
I saw a review where the rider was out riding shortly after rain and the fine dirt/mud sprays up onto the back seat and up onto the back of his leather jacket. That immediately put me off this stunning bike. There is a third party seat replacement with a full mud guard. But very expensive
They should have made a proper front mudguard to stop all the crap going straight into oil cooler,, and same at the rear, every review seems to be the same after 5,minutes, the bikes a mess... Sadly I'm going to have to wait until the used market brings them down to around £12/£14k. So may be waiting a while.... 😁
I like the R3 because she is a face in the crowd. I don't like the Henderson style inline 3 cyl but well, that's what that bike makes special. And I don't like the overloaded electronic driving aids, most of all the traction control that cuts all of the nice torque the engine has. But meanwhile all modern bikes come with that, manufacturers obviously nervous of getting sued...
Hi Jennifer it certainly does stand out in the crowd and it’s an amazing bike to ride with some serious torque and power. I think it would be fairly difficult to ride without traction control especially in the rain. Take care Jake.
The VMax does not have traction control nor drive modes. Probably the last power bike without such stuff. Maybe I am just a bit old-fashioned, the next generation of powerbikes may come with electric drive. So good that I could enjoy the "good old times" lol

Great bike lots of pull everywhere

Brilliant that’s good to hear! And some decent weight loss there too.
Pictures and videos please!

Absolutely amazing machine this one!

Didn’t really notice any major vibrations, suspension was decent too from what I remember.
Little beauty!
An absolutely amazing bike with bucket loads of power & Torque Brad.

Hi Chris yes I agree the bike would definitely need constantly cleaning and could do with some better guards to prevent this. Take care Jake.

@@JenniferSmith-yl6lr So simply switch off traction control, nobody forces you to use it. ;-)
@@JenniferSmith-yl6lr You can actually switch off tc in the "rider" drive mode, as it's fully configurable in this setting.
You can turn the traction control off...its nothing about getting sued its obviously about safety.
Sounds lile you need a harley..lol
