I replayed White 2 this past month, and managed to complete every film that wasn't postgame-locked before ever leaving for Castelia. They gave me so many Moomoo Milks, Lemonades, and Old Gateaux that I never needed to buy healing items again, and I got to roleplay throughout the whole game as a famous actress-turned-Gym Challenger :)
To me the pokestar studios is a waste of time because it is an unnecessary roadblock to show a feature. How did you enjoy it? Was it time consuming and annoying?
@@IronWolf123 I don't know if I would enjoy it now, but when I was little, I loved it, and there was also the mystery of what would happen if I did all the movie. Belive me, try it if u can(and want to, of course) because there are all kind of stories, some more basic, some more crazy. Or if it's too much, u can see them all on TH-cam. But it takes away the fun part of the strategic planning to get the endings
I even tried to do this before leaving the first visit of Pokestar Studio. My whole team has the star effect upon entering battle for this reason which was hilarious. How to enjoy this? Guess what, the strange endings for some films are really wacky. And at least for the first time it's interesting to see what films they bring up, most of them have very obvious real world movies reference I believe. There are also some so freaking difficult plots, like there's this one that needs you to beat the opponent with the move Astonish, that was a pain to do.
The reason this guide is the first one to call them shiny pokemon is because this is the first game with the shiny charm. It wasn't until Gen 5 that The Pokemon Company officially adopted the term "shiny" instead of "alternate-colored"
Fun fact, in Japanese, shiny pokemon are still called "alternate-colored pokemon" to date, even though the Shiny Charm is still called Shiny in Japanese.
I think the reason the guide said to use a non-flying type against Marshall is because a lot of his pokemon have rock moves as coverage for flying, and that can give you trouble

Answering some of your questions or just giving some facts: 8:43 You didn't find rustling grass before the first gym because the rustling grass gets unlocked after the first gym, which is why Bianca talks to you about it when she gives you the Habitat List for the PokéDex when you try to leave Floccesy Town after beating Cheren. 14:32 Sure, you can't use Join Avenue at its full power, but you can still level it up very easily. A lot of people think you just can't but random npcs appear every day, I believe the first days (while your avenue is still at avery low level) only like 4 people appear every day but after leveling it up a bit, which doesn't take long for the first few levels, you reach the cap of 10 npcs visitors per day. And Gym Leaders can appear too after beating the league and they give SO much more points, regular npcs give about 150 points if you guide them well but Gym Leaders give a thousand points, so don't do like I did and actually level it up after you've beaten the league because the avenue's maximum level is 100 and it takes *so many* points/days to even get it to level up one single level after the 40th level. 15:22 Yes, the Big Stadium and Small Court function depending of the time. At some hours there will be games being held and you won't be able to challenge the trainers, but also at different days you'll encounter different teams, like sometimes it's basketball, or soccer, or football, or baseball, or tennis. But basketball and tennis only appear at the small court, the others at the big stadium. And the amount of trainers increases with badges and milestones like beating the league, and also the rewards and levels and Pokémon species/amount. A great feature to get a good chunk of extra exp every day! Nimbasa really has so much going on, with that, the Musicals, the Battle Institute, the Battle Subway and more. Even Join Avenue since right next to the city. 23:11 Undella Town is NOT a new town in Black 2 and White 2! It's a postgame town in Black and White. 29:49 The password changes in every game, it can be either Reshiram, Zekrom, 2202, 7707 or 9909 according to Bulbapedia. I actually thought the passwords could be Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, and everything from 1101 to 9909 (so 2202, 3303, etc), I'm sure I read that somewhere, but I'm not sure if I've ever gotten any password that weren't those 5 I first mentioned so probably it's just those 5 possibilities. Maybe those other passwords were only in the Japanese games. 33:42 Weird, you said on Castelia City that you were looking for the 3 harlequins. If you did that and talked again with the harlequin that gave you the Bike right outside the pier, he'll give you a rare candy. 35:18 Maybe it says so because Marshal's Throh has Rock Tomb, Sawk has Rock Slide and Conkeldurr has Stone Edge. And yes, this game has so much content. And stuff you didn't even do like the musicals, Pokéstar Studios, the medals and all the postgame, including catching legendaries and the about 3 battle facilities though Black Tower/White Treehollow don't count because you can gain experience in them but who cares, it's a challenge centered in battles, it's a battle facility. Two actually because if you've beaten one and have the key to switch to the other game's location, you'll have to beat the other one as well, it's not like the game thinks that you've beaten Black Tower because you've beaten White Treehollow, which is great. Some years ago I was completing the game and thought that I wouldn't be able to do White T becasue I had completed Black T but got nicely surprised! And you can even use some HMs in some rooms in them, like Surf, Cut and Strength. So much fun completing these games, you always have something else you can do. And a special mention to Pokéstar Studios, the Hidden Grottoes, the whole Dropped Item quest and rewards (you can look it up on Bulbapedia) and the seasonal battles with N and his weather teams because I really like those features! And rest in peace, beautiful Dream World. And the Funfest Missions were really good too, you could get some really good items like Max Revives, Rare Candies and other stuff, and even catch (infinite) this-specific-funfest-mission-exclusive Glameow on White 2 and Stunky in Black 2 on one of the few game-exclusive funfest missions. Basically, there's a funfest mission that makes Glameow appear in a hidden grotto in W2 and Stunky in B2, and it's the only way to get these Pokémon in these games without trading. Really interesting. I thought you needed internet to play these but you don't, you can play alone and complete them and use the Pass Powers on your game even while playing on an emulator. I'm sure almost anyone reading this comment learned something new, I don't know how many people will read it but if you did and learned interesting new stuff, making this comment was worth the time!

Black 2 and white 2 in my opinion holds some of my fondest memories. Whether it's battling my friends, or just playing through all of the post game content. This is the only pokemon game I was playing for months after beating the main story. I also remember trying to fill up the Pokedex until my friends older brother told me that it was impossible without transferring pokemon and getting mystery gifts. Lol good time man. Take me back😭😭
It's really not an oversight. After beating cheren Bianca will talk to you about rustling grass at the same time she gives you the habitat lost for your pokedex. Seems like it was a very intentional choice
@Mitchell skates fan of the franchise since 1999, own almost all of the main games (missing the counterpart of some since gen 5) and my fav gen is 5th gen. Played all the main series games too. You berating people because of their likes says more about you than it says about them. And it's not saying something good.
@Mitchell skates when I said sequels in the fifth game *I mean a PROPER sequel under THE SAME generation* Gen 2 is gen 1's sequel but gen 5 has the original story and a sequel 2 years later. Not a complete version like yellow/crystal/emerald/Platinum. Not a what if version like ultra sun/ultra moon. Not a expansion pass to add to an incomplete story like sword/shield. Gen 5 already had a story somehow complete yet they made a sequel that was equally good.
This guide was pretty in-depth, which is pretty surprising. Though it is kind of funny that it doesn't explain STAB until you were fighting the Elite Four xD The Nintended series is always a good time
its funny, in hindsight with this guide, the legendary encounters are all able to be reset after beating the elite 4. so you can just do that if you are desperate to catch any you may have killed/ran away from.
The best thing about this is that when you complete the Pokémon league you could catch cobalion terrakion and verizion if you had killed them and did not save by accident
This has been a thing since HGSS. Any interactable pokemon will revive after you beat the league again. This includes the Sudowoodo and Snorlax in HGSS.
The non stab flying type advice for the elite 4 actually does make sense because almost all of Marshals pokemon have stone edge or rock slide so a flying type could get wrecked in there, especially against Sawk
You might want to check out the postgame of White 2, there's some really cool stuff in there, like a battle with N where his team changes based on the season.
I mean, Undella town was not new in B2W2. This town also exists in Black/White but it's a post-game area. Undella town is famous for the "I just walked into a house like normal but suddenly a familiar piano BGM from the Sinnoh League came up" meme. You can battle Cynthia with her Lv76 pokemon (80 if you play challenge mode) once a day here in both BW and BW2.
6:15 reminds me of naming Silver ??? in Gold and Silver because that’s what the game called him in the first battle and I was a stupid kid and didn’t realize I could pick his name when the officer asked me
If you ever have trouble beating any part of the game, remember to grind Audinos with the Entralink exp boost, it really helped me get my team leveled.
One of my favorite things about B2W2 is how you can use the xtranseever to contact the people whose contacts you have saved and they will tell you a little about the world depending on where you are. Also, a low key, but super important feature is the ability to ask Cheren for a detailed description of the abilities your Pokémon have. Of course these days we just Google that info, but it adds to the game to have this feature- it makes Cheren into a real character rather than just a gym leader and fits his theme as someone who teaches new trainers his descriptions are also more detailed than the summary screen. Case in point- the summary screen only says that the ability’solar power’ ups spat tack in strong sun. Cheren tells you that it also causes you to take some damage- an important detail the game otherwise wouldn’t tell you. He also tells you how weather can affect the battle, something the game just expects you to learn on your own otherwise. Honestly lm impressed. It should also be noted that I only played these games literally a week ago. So with the perspective of someone who did not play that game as a kid I can confidently say that it is one of the best Pokémon games I have ever played. Not just for this detail, but for many other reasons like a vastly more exploitable world, the world tournament, and the fact it was a decent sequel in a world where sequels typically suck.
Cheren actually give you very detail information of abilities. Like, I asked him about pickup, and he told me that you csn use it to pick up items that your opponent consumed in battle if the pickup mon is in battle. This was never mentioned in the description.
Commenting after viewing: This was indeed very interesting. Gen 5 feels like a treasure chest of things to do and discover and this vid emphasise that. Favourite Gen from day 1 and forever will be. Great run! 👌
Great job. This is the excellent editing, poignant voiceover, and overall great package that I love from ur videos. Nintended is my favorite series of urs and this one delivers.
At 9:00 you mentioned that you couldn’t find rustling grass, I’m pretty sure you can’t find any until you beat Cheren and the first gym which makes training Riolu just a bit harder
I look forward to watching your videos every Saturday when I'm on break or get home in the morning from work. In this case, I'm home and showered and enjoying your content as per usual

I battled SO MANY AUDINO's for EXP in the rustling grass that my first shiny I ever caught was an Audino. My pokemon were all low 70's before the 8th gym mainly from slaughtering Audino's in rustling grass.
Btw for anyone wondering, if you run, rustling grass will disappear. You gotta walk to 'sneak' up on it. This is similar to how spinner trainers in some of the games immediately look your way when you run.
I have this guide, it's really cool. There's some stuff about game mechanics I never otherwise would have known, and the itemdex in the back is amazing. probably the best (and also the last) Pokemon game guide I ever bought.
Ah Black 2, the only Pokemon game I've played that I've failed to beat. The password Zekrom is REALLY secure when the 10 year old fated to stop you cannot read the language.
These games had the most interesting addition to a Pokemon game ever. One that, in my opinion, is sadly often forgotten despite being rather fun and also showing the flawed thinking of a lot of Pokemon fans. And that is the Easy and Challenge difficulties unlocked when you beat the E4 (Easy in White 2, Challenge in Black 2, both also obtained using Unova Link to either get them in the other game or get them early). Easy Mode reduced trainer levels a little and made them dumber. Challenge Mode improved their AI, raised their levels by a bit, and gave gym leaders and the E4 an extra Pokemon, improved their movesets and held items, and boosted their IVs to 30. As an example for comparison, Cheren has a level 11 Patrat with Work Up, Tackle, and Bite, as well as a level 13 Lillipup with the same moves, normally. In Easy Mode, they drop to levels 10 and 12 respectively. But in Challenge Mode, Patrat goes up to level 12 and learns Detect, Lillipup goes up to level 14, learns Helping Hand, and gets an Oran Berry, and he gets a level 12 Pidove with Quick Attack, Work Up, Leer, and Growl. Being the first gym, this isn't the biggest change, but he is noticeably tougher, making the Force Palm strategy more useful than it normally is. That being said, however, as stated before... Despite Challenge Mode boosting levels, improving movesets and held items, and adds additional Pokemon to their teams, and even improves their AI... It still isn't hard. At all. Why? Because of the inherent nature of Pokemon. You're not punished very hard for losing, even if you don't save scum (in fact, assuming you defeat any of their Pokemon in your attempt, you still get a bit stronger) and their teams don't change after you fail. So you can very easily prepare better for a second attempt. And even if that's just grinding levels on your current team, its artificial difficulty because you still aren't really punished if you push too hard without healing, and healing is infinite, thorough, and free, thus just taking a little extra time if you grind more cautiously (like anyone would in a Nuzlocke, for example). So it really isn't hard, at all. And yet when fans ask for harder games, they're either unrealistic by demanding things that would make the game pretty well impossible for any new players or even just players that aren't competitive, or they just want exactly what this forgotten Challenge Mode gave. An optional difficulty setting that improved AI and teams of the gyms and E4. Its just proof fans don't think about things hard enough, then criticize when their unrealistic demands aren't met. Also, a random side note, but Samurott is not a narwhal or even inspired by one, at all. It is a sea lion with a horn. A narwhal is a whale, a sea lion, and thus Samurott, is not. So Gnarwally isn't befitting at all.
Papasea:I remember buying this when i got my first copy of pokemon black Papasea a few weeks ago on his community posts:sup guys i just bought this w2b2 guide it looks good
Using non-flying type Pokémon with flying type moves against Marshall is actually a really good advice, as Marshall's team is made of bulky Pokémon (one of them even has Sturdy) and access to really strong rock type moves such as Stone Edge or Rock Slide. They've could expanded onto it by explaining this, but the advice was good.

Too bad the guide didnt mention you could evolve your Magneton in the Chargestone cave
That was probably in part 2 that’s coming out in 2012
@Mitchell skates ebay
I thought it did in the checklist section in the last part. Or did it just say an area of high magnetism?
Manga Zinzolin borderline has a fetish for the cold. Like, he seems to enjoy the extreme discomfort it causes him.
Now I want to die I never wanted to read that shit ever again
"I don't wanna get blown in Skyla's gym" said no one ever
PaPaSea: " I said what I said"
Lol
Oh boy, can’t wait for part 2 in November 2012!! I have a feeling it’ll be well worth the wait! :)
Same here, part 2 hype
Shame that it's nine years away :(
7:41 Teaching Riolu frustration is hilarious, given that he evolves by happiness.
Take me back😭😭
I like Rival. He looks like the type that can go Super Saiyan any minute. Literally.
Rustling grass is only available after defeating the first gym
Likely an oversight by gamefreak, which is why it doesn't make sense in the end that they made Riolu learn force palm later.
It's really not an oversight. After beating cheren Bianca will talk to you about rustling grass at the same time she gives you the habitat lost for your pokedex. Seems like it was a very intentional choice
Despite Sinnoh being my favorite region, I can’t deny that Unova had the most interesting story.
Unova is a region I'll never get bored of 😊
gen 3 games was the best but i started on gen 2 pokemon gold 👌
@Mitchell skates average?? 🤨
@Mitchell skates fan of the franchise since 1999, own almost all of the main games (missing the counterpart of some since gen 5) and my fav gen is 5th gen.
Played all the main series games too.
You berating people because of their likes says more about you than it says about them.
And it's not saying something good.
@Mitchell skates gen 5 is the only one with a *proper* sequel and you're telling that game freak didn't care as much?
Dude?
The fuk is wrong with you?
@Mitchell skates when I said sequels in the fifth game *I mean a PROPER sequel under THE SAME generation*
Gen 2 is gen 1's sequel but gen 5 has the original story and a sequel 2 years later.
Not a complete version like yellow/crystal/emerald/Platinum.
Not a what if version like ultra sun/ultra moon.
Not a expansion pass to add to an incomplete story like sword/shield.
Gen 5 already had a story somehow complete yet they made a sequel that was equally good.
well written structured original joke:
hammer away: *WHEEZE*
Got emmm!
This guide was pretty in-depth, which is pretty surprising. Though it is kind of funny that it doesn't explain STAB until you were fighting the Elite Four xD
The Nintended series is always a good time
“Type Trump!” “Hammer Away!” Callback Bits are always fun. Keep up the good work.
The grind in this playthrough was real
Fun fact:
Audino dont spawn until the game tells you about rustling grass
its funny, in hindsight with this guide, the legendary encounters are all able to be reset after beating the elite 4. so you can just do that if you are desperate to catch any you may have killed/ran away from.
These are honestly one of my favorite Pokémon games. I played it recently
They are some of my favorites too
Best region by a mile.
@@CrustyDoormat hoenn could give it a run for its money
@@chase86903 story is far better in Unova. The Pokédex is class too
@@chase86903 I like Unova much more
The best thing about this is that when you complete the Pokémon league you could catch cobalion terrakion and verizion if you had killed them and did not save by accident
I think that’s been the norm since Gen 3 for any overworld interactable Pokémon
This has been a thing since HGSS. Any interactable pokemon will revive after you beat the league again. This includes the Sudowoodo and Snorlax in HGSS.
This also works if you knock out postgame legendaries, just beat the league again and you can fight them a second time
The non stab flying type advice for the elite 4 actually does make sense because almost all of Marshals pokemon have stone edge or rock slide so a flying type could get wrecked in there, especially against Sawk
Bro imagine if Nintendo made a remake of a remake and called it “Shocking White” and “Blazing Black” as well as “Chilling Grey”
Remake of a remake? Also shadow black and radiant white sound way better in my opinion
@@Hummingb1rd i think b2w2 are sequels and not remakes, given there's a linear connection to the previous game.
@@lenarianmelon4634 Exactly, they literally have 2 in the name
You might want to check out the postgame of White 2, there's some really cool stuff in there, like a battle with N where his team changes based on the season.
I mean, Undella town was not new in B2W2. This town also exists in Black/White but it's a post-game area.
Undella town is famous for the "I just walked into a house like normal but suddenly a familiar piano BGM from the Sinnoh League came up" meme.
You can battle Cynthia with her Lv76 pokemon (80 if you play challenge mode) once a day here in both BW and BW2.
I mixed it up with Humilau since they’re similar
i love how the guide completely ignored volcorona(after Ground Gym) which is easily top5 of this Gen
25:17 it boggles my mind that Samurott can't learn Dual Chop. Like they gave him Dragon Tail but not Dual Chop. Wtf?!
Haunter and Wooper can use Ice Punch but Lickitung can't lick.
@@ThatOneWeirdFlex Haunter makes sense learning the punching moves. Gastly however...
6:15 reminds me of naming Silver ??? in Gold and Silver because that’s what the game called him in the first battle and I was a stupid kid and didn’t realize I could pick his name when the officer asked me
Yooo I actually got the hardcover version of this guide for my birthday when BW2 came out, many fond memories
Cute pfp
Great run! 👌
The best Pokémon games ever made
Once again, we are back to hammer away at that like-button.
I love how you still use the vocabulary from that one guide you did.
They really stepped up the guide quality in this gen!
Great job. This is the excellent editing, poignant voiceover, and overall great package that I love from ur videos. Nintended is my favorite series of urs and this one delivers.
22:00
You sure you dont wanna get blown in Skyla's Gym?
I do 😏
Oshawott should have been called Wotter change my mind.
Yes, because gen 5 doesn't get enough criticism for its Pokemon and their names and designs
Your vids are equally informative and entertaining! Keep ‘em coming :)
Love these vids! and the music choice was perfection. *Chef kiss *
Been so busy! Finally, able to hammer away on this video. This is the best Pokemon series on TH-cam by far!
Undella Town does actually exist in BW1, it’s just postgame. This is where the infamous Cynthia house is in both the first games and the sequels
yeah i confused it for humilau
I've been playing Persona 5 so much recently that I genuinely thought I was imagining the music in the background for quite a while 😂

6:45 MIND BLOWN, I've had this game for eight years now and am still learning new things!
"i really dont want to get blown in skylas gym" well that makes one of us
Pokemon Black and White 2 were my first Pokemon games I ever played thank you for making the video about it.
Can we just appreciate how much work this video took to make? Big ups!!!
Bro, there's no way it's been 10 years since the gen 5 games came out. I still remember when Black and White first came out
I love that Bianca gets to be a big spotlighted character and Cheren is just like “oh yeah Cheren is also here”
This has been something I’ve been waiting for ages. This was great!
Ah yes a man of culture, choosing Samurott.
This guide book actually helped me get through the game when I was younger, fine piece of literature
YES YES YES you picked Oshawott, ugh already loving the video
I battled SO MANY AUDINO's for EXP in the rustling grass that my first shiny I ever caught was an Audino. My pokemon were all low 70's before the 8th gym mainly from slaughtering Audino's in rustling grass.
Btw for anyone wondering, if you run, rustling grass will disappear. You gotta walk to 'sneak' up on it. This is similar to how spinner trainers in some of the games immediately look your way when you run.
Samurott, Lucario, Swanna... wow, half of your team was Cameron's from the anime.
"I really don't want to get blown in Skyla's gym"
The guide probably suggested avoiding flying types for marshal because a few of his Pokémon know strong rock moves
this is the only guide i actually own. glad it got featured in a video
"Catch a magnanite this is a threat."
Nintendo Probably-
I have this guide, it's really cool. There's some stuff about game mechanics I never otherwise would have known, and the itemdex in the back is amazing. probably the best (and also the last) Pokemon game guide I ever bought.
I started rewatching the anime and noticed they say hammer away during battles every so often and I think back to the first nintended videos
"I don't wanna get blown in Skyla's Gym." Well, that makes one.
Ah Black 2, the only Pokemon game I've played that I've failed to beat. The password Zekrom is REALLY secure when the 10 year old fated to stop you cannot read the language.
22:10 " I really don't want to get blown in Skylas gym" Sus Haha

Papasea a few weeks ago on his community posts:sup guys i just bought this w2b2 guide it looks good
Yay a new Papasea vid! It is a blessed day!
Smooched the like button on this video since im literally playing through the rom hack Moon Black 2 and i like the Unova story😊
Papa blessing us with more videos! Thanks, Papa!

Atleast the guide knew the evil plans Marshall wants to do with your flying types. Wish I had known that.
hot tip!
when beginning a game of bw and bw2, rustling grass does not occur until the first gym has been defeated
It's pretty cool that he beat this game with a magneton
