Excellent and honest video. It’s nice not to have someone just blowing sunshine about a product they’ve bought. Also, I enjoyed your genuine joy when you hit 80 mph with the shield all the way up and forward. Good stuff. Subbed.
Thank you. I rode from VA to AZ and back recently. I bought the taller HD windscreen and it made no difference than the stock screen. It badly distorts near the bottom making it difficult to keep your line in the rough stuff. Don't waste the money. That screen beat me to death and was so noisy that it made listening to music through the headset difficult. Thanks again for bringing a great alternative screen to our options.
Another excellent video! The tilt function was one of the main reasons I bought one of these for my Speedmaster. I would try stuffing a rag in the gap between the shield and the black piece to see where the whistle is coming from. Also, grab a can of Plastidip ™️ black and spray the backside of the shield where the Adaptive headlight reflects. I don’t know if you have used Plastidip but if you don’t like the results you just peel it off.
Nice review. Agree that the price is a bit steep for what you get, but not much else out there at this point. The headlight reflection on the windshield is something they should have accounted for, especially given the price. The MRA windshield from my old KTM 1290 that I installed on the Pan America has the exact same issue. It's very annoying at night.
One of the main reasons I bought the Madstad windshield is because it was clear all the way through. But the stock and the taller windshield from Harley have a distortion in the middle.
Very welcome! Left side? The right side is where I feel it. Lol When I wear long pants it doesn’t bug me that much, I know people have wrapped pipe though, maybe that would help?
Ugh, yeah, I meant the right side. I thought that when compared to other bikes that in heavy traffic that the PA threw out a lot of heat around your shin and the it was very easy to actually rest your right leg up against the heat shroud.
Curious as to how tall you are. I bought a new to me PAS 2 weeks with a Wunderlich Marathon windscreen already installed. I am 6'2" and at its highest point, I still get beat up by the wind a bit. It was really bad when I wore my helmet with a visor... Talk about a neck jerker! I am looking at the MadStad and trying to figure which height I should chose: 20", 22", or 24". Thanks!
Sorry, I mentioned it in my install video. This is 18”…I actually have a 20” now and I put a review on that too! th-cam.com/video/D7qIFV_npNE/w-d-xo.html

Neil, glad to review! Yup, I wished there was a bit of a better factory option.

Good to know there are options out there !!
Thanks for sharing.
Cheers
Thanks for the watch!

Thanks Scott! Yup l, just not much out there yet.
Thanks for the review. I had a madstad a long time ago for a different bike. I’ll probably get one for my PA.
Thanks for the watch! What bike do you have one on?
I had one on a victory cross country.
Have you tried the optional windscreen from HD? I thought that it made a big difference

Nice review, but so we can compare your review, how tall are you & your inseam? Thanks
Thanks! I’m 5’9” and 32” inseam.
Do the handlebars touch the windshield at full lock? The screen looks about 2 inches wider than stock.
Barley, yes. But, I have 2” risers so I don’t know if stock does. It does not affect turn radius though.
Hi, thanks for the video!
An unrelated question: have you come across anything to control the left side engine heat? Mostly in heavy traffic.
Very welcome! Left side? The right side is where I feel it. Lol When I wear long pants it doesn’t bug me that much, I know people have wrapped pipe though, maybe that would help?

Thanks for a more detailed review.
Thanks! I had to do it twice actually! I was not aware of all he adjustibility in the wind screen. Its really not in the documentation. LOL

I’m 5’9”. I hear the 22” or 24” work well for taller riders.
@@MCCJustMotos Perfect! I was leaning towards the 22”. Thanks for your input.
Nice review think I will order on with dark gray windshield 😎👍🏍🎥👊
The man!! Good luck and tell them my review sent them your way :)
Good review but I'm sticking with the stock shield.
Not a bad choice! Thanks for the watch!
Forgive me if it's here and I missed it, but which MadStad height did you go with? 18, 20, 22, or 24?
Sorry, I mentioned it in my install video. This is 18”…I actually have a 20” now and I put a review on that too!
