Dude/Mate; Your are a genius!!! I resented HD selling me my 2021 in Japan with the wobbly windscreen and was not going to pay them for the 2023 hardware!! I did what you said, and it no longer wobbles!!! THANK YOU!!!!
I can understand H.D know we will remove and replace certain parts. But the screen mount should be solid from factory 👊.. I may even get the brackets remade in ally cnc cut yet 🤔👍.. Cheers mate
HD makes a harder durometer "tophat" bushing for the taller windscreen, part # 12100169. The question I have is: should the rails that the lower pins slide in be lubricated and if so, with what?
Those original bushings should never have made the final build. A lot of 21 owners go for the new bushing. I found out after doing the mod. With those lower pins being on plastic slides, I just use a bit of silicone spray as repels moisture and doesnt make a mess. It does make the slide action easier 👍
Thanks mate, I did actually think of that before I cut it, but opted for that wat for a cleaner look. but might just do it the other way at some point as it keeps the screen straght when adjusted on the fly instead of twisting .
Harley-Davidson fixed the wind-screen themselves. My 2023 PA does NOT have the floppy wind-screen; they have added additional spring brackets which take care of the problem. This is retro fix back for 21 and 22. marcus
@ALCHEMOTO I could see that being a problem. You may be more determined in your off road riding than me. I have done some nasty roads, but my 63 year old pace was slow. I see the 23s have a retro fit to solve the issue, along with the heat.

Great job mate. But with all due respect I want to make a suggestion. Don't cut the pipe. Use it a as beam between two heads. It can be more robust.

Thats good they have as the engineer that designed the 21/22 M/Y shouldnt be allowed on the drawing board 😁👍

Everything built to a price by the beancounters 😂
I want gold beans for the money 😄👊
This just doesn't bother me.
It didnt with me until the shield popped out of the clips 👍
