Hey - really enjoying your videos! I've been skating casually for past 2-3 years and now I would really want to learn some of the moves you show. Could you recommend a good setup for a beginner rhythm skater, robust enough to handle a 220-240 lbs load? Or some good sites / forums where I can do some research on the subject (tried to google it but no luck)?
My current setup (Riedell R3 size 10 flat boot + nylon PowerDyne size 8 plate) is good for speed but lacks the maneuverability for dancing and I've noticed that the long wheelbase is not very good for tight turns / spins. So I definitely need a heeled boot and probably a shorter / differently constructed plate for shorter wheelbase. This is all I've got so far - any help would be greatly appreciated :-)

Working on an article about that topic as we speak! Stay tuned on my social media outlets for publications. On my website (www.quadsk8.nl) there are some articles in english as well, already published, more coming up, so stay tuned!

Do you keep your trucks really loose or tighter? Are your plates a special type? I am trying to learn and don’t know if I have the right set up. ...thank you..

Hi, my trucks are just tight enough to control everythng I do, but not in a way to feel stuck. It always boils down to personal preference. The plates are an italian brand and are a little shorter than is usually recommended.
