I've been a fan of LED lighting since before it was approved by DOT - BUT, brightest doesn't always translate to safest because it can blind other drivers to surrounding hazards, such as pedestrians, sanitation workers, or disable vehicles.
Thanks for the info, I had talked to a GMC dealer service writer about getting cruise control four years ago and they looked at me like I was an alien!! Then they said it couldn’t be done. I was pretty sure that it just needed the switch but I didn’t have any clue about part numbers. Just installed it today and it works great this definitely makes for a better ride for the longer distance trips! Thanks again!
Great video J.C.Smith thanks for sharing about the cruise on this truck. The new LED turn signals front and back are very bright. Looking forward to your next video stay safe Mr & Mrs J.C.Smith.
Generally speaking you can access the screws stalk by turning the wheel around to the right position. I added cruise to my 98 Savana, and just turning the steering wheel to the right position allows you to hit the screws with a screwdriver style torx.
JC harbour freight sells a ratcheting handle for what your using the tape an wrench for just FYI tryin to help.. that cruse control upgrade is too cool lot like the 1st gen 4runners to get full gauges instead of lights all youd have to do is have the cluster and change the oil sender plugs right in
👍👌👏 Important and nice upgrades. Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and especially health to all 3 of you.
Based solely on your recommendation, I purchased the M12 Soldering iron. One of the best tools that i have ever purchased. People will probably slay me in the comments, but I use a portable Ryobi heat gun for the shrink tubing. That also works amazingly well.
LEDs are nice my only concern is being in a cold climate like you are, the snow builds up on them and there's no melting properties compared to a incandescent
I purchased that wireless 12 switch controller. Should be here Monday. I've been looking for a wireless switch option with at least 10 circuits to suit my needs. We will give this a try.
My friend you and these other guys Guys on each animals or teaching classes. Last says 2 truck drivers in non. Truck drivers and I give you j c smith an a plus i'm a plus Start calling you professor smith
Great stuff my man I had my service truck with everything I own in it and my great insurance mind you not just the tools but it had a crane air compressor and welder they say there going to give me 6 to 8 thousand i cant belive it lmao it’s my life I had a major heart attack a year ago things just keep going bad
I know it’s a waste of money but have you considered getting a used steering wheel? You both did such a great job refurbishing the truck a nice steering wheel would really finish of the project.
you mean because one part is easy to change, i'm suppose to change my opinion on generic motors? uh, no. what is better to me? c5500 or f550? i would take a f550 every time.
Hello!, hoping you are having a great weekend, I am a follower of your TH-cam channel and also very much interested on your Ex-Haul project truck, I left you my contact information on your instagram page so we can talk about the truck and come to a purchase agreement on the unit. Thank you and my best always to you…
Here I’ve been driving around in mine for 3 years with no cruse control. Had no clue it was that easy. Thanks JC!

Nice job! I would like to use that controller on my truck build. I am adding some of the same features as you described.
That's going to be the coolest truck!! ❤ love to have it as a dump even my wife my 3 girls could drive it easy to operate
it can be a dump in about a day...just sayin.

@@j.c.smithprojects got to thinking later probably service bed with a crane....
you may be surprised what this is going to be.
Alway educational and entertaining
I loved early 2000's vehicles sadly we advanced to far out now vehicles are asking dealership only.
Hello what brand of soldier flux paste do you use
i didnt use any solder flux
What’s the discount code?
JCSMITH
I don’t have cruise on my Sterling
pretty simple to add on that as well.
That is going to be a short roll back …. Maybe you cut the frame too short ?
Unlikely
So you’d have to admit the GM is easier to work on than Ford
