At my 40s I got into this trend of caring about my body, exercising and eating as best as I can. TKOTG approach in particular is giving me a whole new perspective of what I’m able to restore when I thought it was all lost and gone, like my injured shoulder which is as good as new nowadays. However we’re not going to live forever and I think we need to cope with that, because media is trying to convince us that we can isolate ourselves in a plastic bubble of this digital age like The Matrix and no, we’re made of flesh and blood, we need to strengthen our mind and our spiritually for the lack of a better word.

Very well said. You did a great job of articulating what I have been feeling for quite some time. Sticking with the simple healthy basics such as good food choices, daily movement, sleep, less stress, not smoking , no drugs or alcohol has kept me feeling strong and healthy for 62 years . Granted, knowledge is power and both the phd vegan and the phd carnivore have many studies to back their claims so both have their merits. For me, a diet of meats, veggies, fruits, good fats, makes me feel my best. To each their own I say.

Hey, good sleep, more water, good food, exercise, and human connection are great, but have you tried a tedious, rigid, ocd morning routine that starts with getting up at 5:00 with only 6 hours of sleep, drinking water with apple cider vinegar and right into an ice bath, then working chest and arms for an hour, then getting some sun (now that it’s finally risen) holding in your poop, drinking a athletic greens, still holding in poop, then doing a metcon, then having a fancy coffee drink made from mushrooms and finally pooping and starting your day that way? :)

I think people want immortality more than we ever have, as in, the ability to control and even stop aging. It seems like the Greatest Generation was the last generation to accept and almost embrace “YOLO”-just look at how they smoked and drank. They lived through two wars and knew life is fleeting. We are less in touch with our mortality now and somehow this makes us way more in denial of it’s inevitability. But also we feel way less in control than ever in other parts of our lives.
    Anyway, great talk!

Lots of the new stuff helped me save my life and had CFS for 4 months with no answers from the medical field that costs 5 figures... from red light, grounding, and health. optimization saved me.... i think lots of people are looking for answers as 73% of Americans are obese and the medical field have failed them for decades.

its basically become an enormous money making grif and industry in itself. not only do these experts often contract eachother, but they will also often contract themselves in different videos. i used to have all of these type of guys like huberman and such forced on me by the algorithm but I've cut all that fat off after realizing it was just hours worth of regurgitation of sometimes pointless information and issues that I am already at least aware of. its a good point about the studies these guys cite not really being reproducable. even the ones that are done on humans and not mice. 😅 you can really get studies to say whatever you want if you set it up right. Big corporations have been doing it forever.I
