We are in a hurry because we feel like we are left behind. We always ask for immediate answers because we are very much afraid of what lies ahead that's why we sometimes forget how to be patient and even blame God for failing to grant our prayers. Little do we know, He's actually preparing something great for us. Therefore, teaching ourselves to always be patient will really help us a lot to not stumble once we're afraid and in a hurry.

All I wanted to say is SORRY God for being impatient😭 sorry for always whining instead of trusting your plans. I know life has been tough and I had too much sufferings but I never realized that instead of hurrying to make things happen why did I never thought of trusting your time. I was so down and hopeless but when I heard father's sermon I realized that I'am the one who makes my self down cause I was always in a hurry and afraid of what are for tomorrow. Thanks for the homily🙏

Whenever I fell hopeless and very down sometimes (which us humans cannot avoid) I always read that scripture. He has better plans ahead of us! Far more better than what we planned for ourselves. Don't get impatient, our time will come!!
Don't misquote the Jeremiah 29:11, hindi po para sayo yan para po sa mga captive Israelites yan nuon, duon sa Babylon. Sometimes we read bible scriptures out of context. You should read the entire Jeremiah not a one line passage para di mo ma misinterpret and mas maintidihan mo ang book of Jeremiah.

I have always been impatient, very centered to the future, spent most of my time thinking about tomorrow, making plans and disregarding the presence of those people right next to me. 5 months ago, my mom was diagnosed with cancer, and that's when I was awakened and learnt how to cherish what the present could offer. This preach sunk in so deeply within my mind and soul, I could feel the strength of those words, and I can't help but cry. Thank you.
Bakit nga ba ako nagmamadali? Dahil mag 30 na ako, dahil ba nagkakaedad na ang nanay ko, dahil ba isa isa ng kinakasal ang mga kaibigan ko. Sa sobrang pagmamadali ko nakalimutan ko pahalagahan mga tao sa paligid ko, sa sobrang pagmamadali ko lage ako nadadapa, lage ako nasasaktan at lage ako nagkakamali. It is not about the destination, it is about the journey. I should put my faith high with GOD and while waiting for my time, I will work on myself and cherish more to the people I am with. Sorry God for being so weak and thank you Lord for the realization today.❤🙏

Agreed. Some people might call him as a Padre Damaso due to his views on various issues and due to him being a typical priest who meddles in politics but listening to his homilies always gives me a positive impression that he is actually a nice person. Perhaps people who may have known him on a personal level may actually prove that he is a truly nice person
I've been struggling for the past few months and this is the only time that I actually listen and watch a homily. I cried upon watching this one, and for the first time after a long time of running away from Him, I feel like there's someone who understand me.

I was sad when you left EDSA Shrine for another assignment. But now I am glad that I can listen again to your homilies thru TH-cam.
You are truly anointed by God! You are gifted with wisdom, knowledge and intelligence to make the WORD OF GOD alive and applicable in our daily lives especially in this troubled and pandemic times we are faced with. May all priests be gifted too so they are spirit-filled like you.
