    I've got the T430 (several generations older) - it's solid, reliable, boots Win 7 in 25 seconds, and works brilliantly. The T series Lenovos won't let you down. The 14" screens aren't great but I run a large Dell monitor 99% of the time.

    From a person whose next laptop is a ThinkPad (and one who has used Mac Portable/Powerbooks/MacBooks since they were first made), Apple doesn't "gun" for ThinkPad quality. For many years now, Apple has been moving *away* from that form factor. The last comparable machine was the Powerbook G3 (Pismo).

    I was happy to see a recent review of the ThinkPad T470, I felt that Sacha's a pretty charismatic and good reviewer and Joel is nice but he annoyed me when he kept saying "This is not individual purchase thing, your company will buy it", well, no sir, that's not correct. I bought my self a fully equipped T470 (i7-7600U, 32GB DDR4 2133MHz SoDIMM (16GB+16GB), 1 TB SSD OPAL2.0 PCIe-NVMe, Finger Print Reader, Touch Screen, Win.10 Pro, etc..) with my hard earned money last week. Thanks PCMag and some intro music would be great.

    These things run Linux flawlessly (well, almost flawlessly). They're built like tanks (MIL-SPEC tested), have great keyboards (much better than chiclet IMHO), last for ages on a single charge (with the 72Wh 68+ battery), and have a timeless signature ThinkPad design (some love it, some hate it - I love it).
    I just purchased a ThinkPad T450s, and it's still awesome - even in 2018. I bought it for peanuts, and immediately installed Linux (Kubuntu 18.04). It's my daily driver, I carry it around with me everywhere. I'm going to make a video on just how awesomely my T450s runs Linux.

    By the way extended battery 17 hrs life is under standby. Meaning all background apps are down and you are looking at the screen with minimum brighness. It is not while you are working. In real life you barely get 3-4hrs of life.

    • @copywritingbyrazvan249
      @copywritingbyrazvan249 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      That's downright false. With the cylindrical battery, at normal load (50 - 60% brightness, work, Firefox, maybe some TH-cam, music) you get close to 12 - 13 hours. I wonder if you actually used one.

    • @KTPurdy
      @KTPurdy 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @ashutoshmehta8283
      @ashutoshmehta8283 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have extended battery. Again 17hrs is bogus and misleading number. It is only under complete shutdown mode where key features like WiFi are not working. If you are getting 17hrs on a working machine then I reckon your laptop would be the most cheapest variant with absolutely minimal hardware.
