Through it all Ed Sullivan directly impacted every act ever to apear on his shows. Dispite is personal fueds. I don't know of anyone that appeared that the appearance along helped their careers more than a negative impact. Regardless of how many appearances.
Ed Sullivan will always be the man who launched many of the legends we know carrers. If they had not had these appearances, i doubt would have become as successful. Ed Sullians show had that kind of power.
I remember watching the show every week. I never missed an show. If it had not been forcthe show, i doubt i would have known they existed at the time. Including Buddy Holly andcthe Crickets.
