@@Hunter-w7y7p you didn’t imagine it, I got the same information at some point. problem is I have no idea where, so it might not be a real part of the lore
@@Hunter-w7y7pWell it looks od that they only spawn when a parasite is killed maybe the "thing" received a signal and then he sends a beckon or the dead parasites becomes part of the "thing"
Even though the parasites species are native to the overworld, you can tell they can be an intergalactic threat if they manage to spark the slightest infection in other planets. Oh goodness, they even got to the end dimension...
About the Ancients tier, the devs said that it needed revision, they aren't "ancients" at all. Also, the source, it's the heart of the infection, it's a thingy underground that use its tentacles to bring buglins and shit on the surface (we don't know much about it yet) Also i like the Beckon and Dispatcehr genders theory thingy, i find it really cool and funny (i think the love season is WILD between these)
Can't say much on this theory, but there is a quite strong vanilla Minecraft theory that Endermites are actually interdimensional parasites, hence why they spawn from ender pearls and why endermen attack them. Silverfish are similarly "parasites" within the world, instead infesting inorganic matter. Since Buglins have the same animations and themselves are parasites, if these vanilla mobs really are parasitic in nature, the first part of this theory is exceptionally plausible as the three mobs being related becomes that much more compelling. Hopefully more mob interactions come out that hint to some lore (and, more importantly, hopefully the developers learn what game balancing is)
I interpret the parasite as a colonial animal that works not as a parasite but a parasitoid, and the buglin not as the parasite itself but the first step as victim, You know what I could make a video bout this
So the question still stands… Why does the parasite weak to fire suddenly gain the ability to control the fire enemy? Seriously why is there an assimilated Blaze in development?
Infection mods in general are just super wierd! "You invented a mod where its super unfun and unbalenced in the later stages?" "Yes, so that the player is forced to fight it and keep it so those late game enemys dont spawn!" "So you made a mod where the entire point of the mod is to not experiance the content it brings?" I think infection mods are cool, but most of them are straight up fundamentally flawed!
I think the word "ancient" could explain a lot, actually. These creatures might be survivors from the previous era of the overworld. Situation analogous to the real pathonegns trapped in permafrost, or sniffers from vanilla. Perhaps the giant animals we know from their fossilized skeletons once shared the same ecosystem with the Parasites?
What if buglins are a cross-breed of silverfish and endermites? Both are fine in their own territories, but this rare breed of mob could have resulted in an invasive species. It explains how odd this mob is relative to the world and its parasitic nature can be explained by both parents (i.e compatibility with infected mob's biology, drive for infestation and immense aggression). It also explains why it is so effective at infecting, yet only started assimilating when we joined: the breed occurred a few Minecraft hours before we joined. Though it doesn't explain how the assimilation can be so elaborate, there is a possibility that the endermites are passing down hidden traits.
I personally dont think so, though thats definitely a good theory!! If that was the case, buglins would most likely be infertile since they're cross breed mixes! Yet Ruptors are able to infect other mobs and make more buglins It's *possible* and is a theory worth writing down, but it's personally not one I believe in!
Well, judging from the Mod Menu in Creative, were gonna be getting Hijacked Skeletons and Blazes, so, they're taking over the Nether as well, god damnit. Also, I'm not sure you can control a skeleton with electrical signals, but idk
I would be absolutely lost trying to figure out how the parasites operate if its not eletrical signal manupulation 💀 and thats ignoring the fact that blazes are just fire entities and how thats the parasites's literal only weakness! What can I say? the running gag just continues to write itself!
@floofyloofy also, your video might inspire me to make my own about the mod, but I'd put way too much time into it, considering I'm in high-school and still have homework to do
Honestly good luck, the mod currently gives you literally no lore to work with, you basically have to look purely at spawn conditions and mob behavior to make your theory
@@floofyloofy I would imagine they could just do it physically with tendrils for the skeleton at least, kind of like using the parasite as the muscles and nervous system, and the skeleton for a solid apparatus
7:48 so y'know how mushrooms are closer to animals than plants genetically speaking? imagine their "adult" form breeds using spores, the dispatcher sends out airborne spores and the beckon's lower tendrils catches them turning the head into a giant egg sack (this theory would also explain how the entire world isnt just one big parasite biome already since they'd die when the eggs hatches kinda like a spider but instead of the abdomen it'd be the "head")
I both like and dislike at the same time how much the parasites in Scape & Run Parasites resemble the Flood from Halo. The rupters remind me of the Flood infectors, some of the evolved forms remind me of Flood pure forms, assimilated human mobs remind me of Flood combat forms, and the entire infested biome is basically the Blight Lands. But at the same time we have creatures like Beckons and other immobile sentry creatures along with Ancients. If we were to take this connection a step further we could say that the Parasites are a sort of ancient precursors that once ruled the world and were wiped out by the ancient beings who would eventually become the zombies and skeletons that riddle the world of Minecraft. But they weren’t wiped out entirely. In some small pockets of the world and in space these precursors lived on as the buglins that would supposedly coalesce back into Precursors proper but would instead be corrupted and become the Parasites. The gender theory is kinda crazy💀 i dont think so. If the beckons were females they would need a male to create parasites. So i think they dont have a gender they are just there as a sentient tool

An interesting thing I've noticed is that the parasites seem to actively be invasive to the end and need to be introduced by well, going through an end portal. But I am kind of curious as to where they found ender dragons (which are supposedly extinct to the best of my knowledge) to assimilate, plus I think the end is a significantly less hostile environment for them due to having less fire and dangerous chemicals, and having familiar bodies to assimilate in endermen. Another thing regarding beckons that are higher than stage I (ones that can spawn assimilateds or above), I imagine, is that there is a central hivemind that kinda gives them the blueprints to create such mobs with the right amount of biomass. @floofyloofy I disagree. Souls-likes aren’t meant to be endless pain fests where you’re never allowed to win. They’re difficult, yes, and frustrating, but they are tests of your abilities, pushing you to improve at the game’s combat systems and treat fights like a puzzle to be figured out, instead of mindlessly charging at every enemy with your weapon drawn. (At least, a good souls-like game should be like what I’m trying to describe.) if you can’t beat a certain boss, then you keep practicing. You learn how their attacks work, how to dodge them, and when it’s safe for you to attack. And you’re not forced to keep fighting them over and over without being allowed to leave. You can go somewhere else, get some new equipment and items, and come back to try again. There are checkpoints to save your progress. You won’t lose your items upon death, only your currency. And even if you die again before you get that back, you can still get more just by defeating enemies. Scape and Run is just poorly balanced, because the devs have focused more on making gross, scary monsters that kill you and make playing the mod miserable than giving you a genuine chance to fight back. In soulslikes, if you die, it’s because you messed up in some way. You learn how, where, and why you failed, and use that to do better the next time.
