I have been on a plant based diet for almost 6.5 months and have lost 88 lbs and feel much healthier and my blood pressure is 106/66 instead of 135/93 and my cholesterol and triglicerides are great now. Keep going! I loved the plant based video! Also I am impressed that your doctor gave you advice to actually help versus just drugs which have negative side effects.

🤣🤣🤣 ... I lost 150+ on a meat, fat and dairy heavy diet and my blood pressure went from 181/110 to 111/72. And yes, my blood work is perfect. Your weight loss hss nothing to do with meats, fats or animal products. It is simply a reduction in your sugar intake.

@@gdbynoe Highly recommend you research a bit more.... for example ‘forks over knives’, blue zone and china study meta-analysis results. But, hey, congrats on what worked for you. No need to throw shade at what works for others. Good luck on your continued health journey.

@@Sunshine-nr6qe I highly reccommend that you stop spreading misinformation based on your personal predjudices and privilege. The arrogance that comes with your privilege to dismiss and campaign against animal products because you can afford to, while others starve is sickening. Just think how much a pig could do for a family in a famine area such as parts of Africa and the Middle East. Or some chickens laying eggs and being eaten when neccessary. Cows providing milk and beef. But you would prefer to take natural products, highly process them, package them in environmentally unfriendly packaging, huge carbon footprint and then have the audacity and hypocrisy to call and advertise these products as vegan chicken, vegan bacon, etc. Talk about destroying the planet and climate change. The answer to MOST of a human's health problems is excessive intake of sugars and processed foods. It's that simple.

@@gdbynoe Wishing you great health and longevity! P.S. You read MUCH into my comment that was not there. I merely offered information on whole food plant based nutrition which very much is against the processing you mentioned. Have a great day!

We just ordered our HR. One of the first things I want to try to FD is homemade hot and sour soup. I have to make it gluten free with GF soy sauce which you can't get at a restaurant. It will be so nice to just open a packet, dump it in a bowl and add hot water yet it's my own homemade safe soup :) .

Thank you for this video! Our 2 month old was just diagnosed with PKU and will basically be on a protein limited vegan based diet for the rest of his life. We are looking into purchasing our first freeze dryer and I ran across your channel when I was researching the pumps. I'm saving several of your videos(including the jackfruit video) to watch later so we can learn how to prep meals for him so we are not constantly cooking 2 separate meals every night(3 siblings that do not need a limited protein diet). Looking forward to more content. Thank you

I suggest replacement food instead of substitutes. There are a few commecial products like Impossible burger as long as you don't mind it smelling and looking like Alpo. Gardein Meatballs and Morning Star Grillers Prime burgers are good replacements and nuts, nuts nuts! It helps if your just an aspiring vegan so a few bites of steak once in a while works for me. The hard part is doing without oil.

It was great finding this video being that I am plant base for over 30 years.
I do not have a freeze dried machine just yet but it’s been purchased. I’m waiting for my delivery date sometime at the end of January 2021
Meanwhile, I am trying to learn as much as possible which foods work and do not work when using the freeze dried method.
I personally would have boiled the seitan in a plant base broth with a little vegan worestershire sauce and perhaps a little vegan smoke.
Plant base meat/dishes do need lots and lots of spices and flavors.
Thank you for sharing this video 👍🏻
    I’ve for do a ton of vegan/vegetarian

I came here wondering if you could make your own soy chunks with a freeze dryer. Another meat alternative, that is super light, sold in Indian grocery stores and camping gear stores. It looks and tastes a little like dog kibble dry, but when you hydrate and flavour it, it tastes just like meat. The sriram you did looks the most like soy chunks I think, but soy is a little misleading since seitan is vital wheat gluten

If it is 2 years old, it would not have the newer software. I would still prefreeze everything overnight and play around with taking time off of the freeze cycle. On average, i would say mine subtracts 3-4 hours off of the first cycle. With the new software it takes into consideration the temperature and if the food is prefrozen.
