    Great review, which encouraged me to purchase this dryer.
    Can you tell me if you have used the Hygiene Refresh setting and does it work? I tend to do most of the cooking, which can quickly make clothes quite stinky despite being totally clean, so I'm wondering if this setting might help freshen them? The manual doesn't give much information other than it uses heat, so I'm hesitant to try it in case it shrinks my clothes.
    Kicking myself for not buying the BEKO equivalent model, which has a steam refresh setting. Thanks again for the comprehensive review.

      Thanks glad the review helped you 🥰 about the hygiene refresh I haven’t used it before I only tend to really use mix and cottons on it and the odd time 5kg in one hour. I’m pretty sure it’s like hygienic drying and does get quite hot I’d say it gets to the same temp that a normal condenser dryer gets to on high heat or maybe just a bit lower than that but hasn’t shrunk any of my stuff before even if I used hygienic drying so as long as you can tumble dry the stuff they should be fine on it! But with them even stuff that say do not tumble dry (such as delicate dresses and curtains) can be dried on normal cycles it’s a massive bonus with these
      The beko equivalents aren’t as efficient as most don’t have an inverter motor so going for this was definitely the better option even though you lose the steam function imo

      @@Washerboy2006 Thank you very much for the very comprehensive reply and confirming my decision to purchase this over a Beko with steam but then I know I'm not the only gadget freak when it comes to white goods. 😉😁
      Our washing machine is up for renewal soon, so do you have any recommendations for something 10kg with plenty of features but not Bosch prices? I'm not a brand snob but I haven't heard good things about Hisense washers (or dishwashers for that matter), although our 2 Yr old Hisense American Fridge/Freezer works great.
      Haier washers tick a lot of boxes but don't know much about them and not too many reviews. Our soon to be 9 year old A++ Hotpoint with 1400 spin and SMART options (Auto, Performance or Speed) has given sterling service and still looks like new.

      @@dontcare32123 honestly if you can I’d say Bosch but not a high end 10kg one there isn’t really any fantastic brands on the market and budget machines now either have very bad programming or very bad reliability even if you go for a higher end model from one unless it’s made by the main corporation that owns the company (hotpoint gentle power for example is pretty much full whirlpool)
      Your best bet would be 9kg Bosch serie 4 or serie 6 they normally come in at around £500 (sometimes less) but they should last you a decent length of time compared to others on the market at that price. Even though it isn’t 10kg there isn’t really a difference between their 9kg and 10kg drums
      Haier despite being new are very good to from what I’ve heard and are one of the quietest machines in use (if levelled and transit bolts removed of course)
      If those are both too expensive the only other brand I can hesitantly recommend is hoover (h wash 300 plus or h wash 500 models) the reliability on those isn’t exactly great but they do have great features considering their budget machines such as kg mode and also WiFi however should probably note that their 10kg models shockingly have a smaller drum than Bosch’s 9kg models they love to be stingy with drum sizes :)

      @@Washerboy2006 Another thank you for another great, detailed reply, which is really appreciated.
      I have looked at Bosch but read they aren't quite what they used to be when it comes to longevity and reliability, and you're partly paying for the badge but I will take another look. I am quite interested in the Haier I-Pro Series 5 as it ticks pretty much every box and seems to have a few extra features over the older Series 7, such as spin and prewash options.....and then I started reading about collapsed bearings on the Series 7, which kind of put me off.
      Thanks again for your response. 👍👍

      @@dontcare32123 you’re very welcome yeah it’s true Bosch definitely aren’t as great as they used to be say 10 years ago but they are definitely better than a lot of brands now. Unfortunately practically every brand is starting to fall massively with their quality if you had of asked me the same question a few months ago I would’ve practically screamed through my text to tell you to get a beko to match the dryer unfortunately the quality has went from 10 to 0 in a year! the amount of machines I’ve seen from them fail within a year is CRAZY 😳 recently just ditched my tol beko washer that costed nearly £500 as the app corrupted the machines software and beko didn’t want to know about it (don’t want you to now think the dryer won’t be good at all as they are decent probably not what I’d buy now after the experience I had with the washer but aren’t as likely to fail as the washers)
      The only brand I can absolutely recommend is Miele now but I know you wouldn’t pay £650 for a basic one which is understandable.
      Either way really hope that whatever you decide serves you well but honestly don’t listen to what others say about Bosch or even haier quality as it’s still better than most on the market now :)

    You say it’s not loud but you can hear a banging noise that would echo through a new build house. That’s the problem I have. You can hear the dryer three stories above it and it’s annoying. I’m trying to find a dryer that doesn’t make so much noise

    • @Washerboy2006

      Weird mine doesn’t make a banging noise at all and is still very quiet 2 years later only noise I have is the side panel vibrates a bit during use. if you have one sounds like it’s been damaged during transport 😐 ours is right beside the bedrooms on a wooden floor upstairs and you can’t really hear it throughout the house only place you can hear it is in the bathroom directly below it

    Im looking at ROEH10A2TCE and GT541023CW which one would you recommend?

    • @Washerboy2006
      @Washerboy2006  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’d definitely say go for the GT541023CW as that other dryer from candy has loads of bad flaws from what I’ve heard especially because the water tank is hanging on the door and not in the drawer meaning the clips tend to snap after a short period of time as they can’t cope with the weight of the water on the door and are quite noisy during use aswell due to the drum sounding very rumbly when the it turns

    Hi Pal I have a question about this item I bought brand new from currys and I'm a bit confused I noticed your tumble dryier have working light inside but mine not.
    I turned it on and there was no any light in the drum also I tried to press the drum light and nothing happened at all.
    Can you tell me how can I switch on the light in the drum ?

      Ok that is extremely strange as pressing the drum light button on the display is how you turn it on and off. I presume that maybe the wires where somehow disconnected from the bulb when the dryer was being transported or else the bulb is somehow just completely broke 🤔

    • @Washerboy2006

      yes it tumbles very slowly for the first few minutes and then does distribution tumbles but whether it alternates between the two I don't know as I haven't used the full cycle yet (only had it on for a few minutes for a single item)

      Not yet sorry but I have noticed for some reason the more unlevel it is the less it makes the noise 🤨 I do have an engineer coming out to fix my washer that’s from a sister brand to this dryer so might see if the engineer can maybe fix it if I’m able to

    • @SentinelSays
      @SentinelSays 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Washerboy2006 I will say this, it’s a seemingly widespread issue and not just with Beko/Grundig. Our Miele heat pump dryer had a really irritating resonating rattle from the side panel, which Miele couldn’t fix….but I did it myself by removing the side panel and placing some heat resistant neoprene tape on the mating surface between the frame and the external panel. Our previous LG did exactly the same with the front panel, which was really annoying too. Manufacturers using thinner gauge steel for cost reasons seems to be the cause from what I can tell. I used to be an appliance engineer and I have noticed the deterioration of build materials, but as long as it doesn’t affect reliability I’m okay with it.

      @@TheXboxBlaster no it didn’t shrink anything the whole time it worked aside from potentially a couple of very delicate clothes (not sure whether they where shrunk in the dryer or the washing machine) The heat pump ones dry at a very low temperature in comparison to vented and normal condenser ones so it’s very rare for them to shrink stuff.

      @@clarafourrier2134 I haven’t really found out what caused the vibrating on mine BUT I did turn the machine around to face towards our spare room door a few months ago and think the vibrating might be caused by the way the legs are levelled as even though it still does it now it’s nowhere near as much as it done it back when I filmed this review video also doesn’t help with the fact it’s on wooden floors upstairs so think that also might have something to do with it as well
