Which is absolutely sickening, for the record. The only thing that should qualify as airbending are the kinds of shots you would rarely see like when Goku yeeted Chi-Chi's ass out of bounds in the tournament.

Dude, the fact that Nickelodeon, despite owning the rights to one of its most popular franchises for decades, has yet to license an even half-decent game (barring the Legend of Korra game, considering how you can't even buy it) is insane to me, especially given how primed the franchise is for a fully fledged, high budget game. No effort or budget is afforded tho, so they just farm out the license to whatever garbage C-tier game developer they can to squeeze a few pity bucks out of its fanbase or trick a few gullible parents into buying the game for their kids. It's honestly insulting.

On Yuya Takahashi's youtube channel there is a video where he animates a KAMEHAMEHA with this exact set(plus some more) of movement. I wonder if that served as an inspiration for this animation.
actually, thinking about it: Compressing the wind into a small space before releasing it as a blast *would* be decently effective. So it's not even a bad or meme technique.
similiar situation happened where marvel had freakin deadpool v ghostrider for a cosmic cube and it had freakin IMPACT FRAMES and very anime style like fighting in the trailer only for it too be a mobile game too XD
Technically the Kamehameha is air bending As shown with the first ever one used by Roshi to extinguish a burning castle, he used High pressure air to basically blow the fire out The kamehameha is bad a huge amount of pressured air mixed with ki to create an extremely potent blast

Never forget that in Dragonball Evolution, they called the Kamehameha "airbending". How we have come full circle.
And the cutscene still did it better
Freaking beat me to it! 😂😂😂
We do not talk about evolution
FUCK got to it first lol, that moment always stuck to me as such bullshit
when i see it i realy feel interest for than magic sistem, What are the tecnics of the other elements?
Kamehameha is one of the most powerful airbending techniques, dude...
I forgot that was in the movie. I now hate and love that this might even be a reference to that.
If the people who worked on this animation were inspired by that line in Dragon ball evolution I’m gonna lol so hard.
Freaking dragon ball evolution.
@bearerofbadnews1375 When I heard that line in the theater, I almost yelled what out loud.
I miss Geeko
Said no one ever

The Kamehameha is the most basic of all the airbending techniques
I don’t know how to break it to you uncle Mark but I don’t think the kids are saying “Kino”😭😭
What happened to saying "Merch!"
No no no, this is the best joke ever made. Plus, I think it's the influence of the mustache.
Well I hope the grownass men aren't using it
Kino is in fact being used and it hurts.
It's literally just German for "theatre" or whatever, so they say Kino to basically mean "peak cinema" 💀
Tf does “kino” mean
I never expected totally not mark to have a mustache
I was not expecting that impact frame
Honesty, I never expect to see, in my lifetime, TotallyNotMark with a goddamn mustache.

On the bright side, an Avatar fighting game is finally in the works and HOPEFULLY that was a sign of things to come!

Ever since I was a kid, I always thought it was possible
this is like when Marvel hired an animator that is at the same level as Nakamura to make an ad for a CARD GAME.
It makes a lot of sense too, minus the posing, but it does give earth/air combo vibes akin to sand bending
Rossi refers to it as airbending in the original Dragonball as well. The first thing we even see done with it is putting out a fire.
Welcome to the Avatar game world. Barring maybe 1 or 2
It also looks like a Rasengan , an inspiration from Kamehameha
The source reveal hurt
All the budget goes to the animation
Let's not forget that wreck it ralf game

They spent more money on the cutscene than the actual game
I now have the desire for an Avatar Dynasty Warriors type game.

I was going to say I've seen Airbender so many times since it came out and this just didn't happen but then you told me it was a video game. 😂
It's always the Chinese animators who create those Mobile Apps animations
To me the funny part in that "Dragonball" Evolution uses air bending for Goku's power system.
Everyone knows that the commercials are the most interesting part of a mobile game
You mean *only interesting part.
My headcanon now is there’s some variation of Journey to the West in the Avatar world and it just so happens to have it.
