WHAT. A. FINALS. Vitality and NRG (and Dignitas?) are way above everyone else at the moment. The level was so high, that might be the best Rocket league that has ever been played. They are setting up the standards to another level. Both teams could have honestly deserved the win. (I mean a game 7 OT goddamn) I was cheering for Vitality. I would have loved to see them make the back to back but on an other hand, seeing Garrett finally getting his title makes up for it. What a story line. Adding the insane matches during this tournament, this could be the best season so far. Also, the fact that Kaydop, Turbo and Panda, the three former players of the Dig dynasty are leading (kind of) the three best teams in the worlds right now is epic. Absolute GOATS. (Hope i haven't made too much spelling errors 😬)
Tbh i think next season goes to Dignitas, they just started to understand each other and are already playing the best rocket league, they will improve even more!
Halfway through 2022 and I still want to tear up seeing Garret's reaction. Season 5 was such a heartbreaker! So glad they won it! I wish they kept Turbo. I said it when it happened, they won't win again with Squishy. Boy I hope I'm wrong. I love NRG!
Comparing this to s5, season 8 was better. So many back to back plays and intense moments. I was rooting for NRG telling them that they can fight back, and it finally happened. :')
Came back to watch this once again and I can't express how much I love the way Jstn takes a huge breath right the moment he knows the ball is going in.
This seasons worlds was crazy fun to watch. So many new players and so many new teams. Dignitas, Veloce, Spacestation, Pittsburgh and Eunited were playing incredibly well. I am glad that C9 and G2 did not make it and instead we got fresh new blood. Grand finals was really close and honestly could go either way. Vitality and NRG gave us a real show! Congrats to NRG for number 1 spot. Lets hope that we could see Vitality vs NRG more in the future
When Garret tweeted way back he wasn't stopping until he lifted that trophy, I thought it was just something inspirational he said to himself but he wasn't joking, the only person to be in all rlcs seasons and to see him win one finally made me feel like I won with him. Gg Garret, gg

I gotta give the best game of day 3 to RV vs Dig game 6. This was the best series of rocket league I’ve ever seen. You actually couldn’t write it any better. Great match, great finish. The two goats on the stage with Turbo and Kaydop. Having said that, it's crazy how this is legit champ level gameplay now. No exaggeration. A good champ 3 team would win the whole tournament pretty easily.
You confuse champ level mechanics with champ level brain power. This version of pros would still wreck pretty much every rank up until maybe high level GC and low level ssls, I promise you that. Plus, players always play worse on LAN. Champs would stand no chance in this LAN, wouldn’t even be remotely close

@Cuck hold none of these players "need" a coach. its a tool on stage for a team to keep them focused. It also helps having someone with experience on pro scene thats looking at the games from outside, they tend to see more than those who are on the field.
@Cuck hold it's not for individual play. They're supposed to control rotations for when pressure is high or when the ball is up and the players can't see where anyone is. They communicate positions and tip the right player for the go ahead on the challenge. A good coach keeps double commits to a minimum. Something killing c9 lately.
Wow wow wow wow!!! To much craziness to comment on! Something i would like everybody to appreciate tho is jstn! The nerves had him by the balls in game 6 and 7 he couldn't even hide it! But like a BOSS he kept it together he stayed calm while riding the most intense adrenaline ride of his life!! Ask any sports junkie that shit is HARD literally what seperates the good from the great!! Something to ponder on a small level moving forward is his breakdown afterwards once he was able to relax and focus on all that adrenaline it was to much it didnt end until the very very end when he was talking to scrub be interesting to see how that affect his play style moving forward!!

It amazes me how RV when they get 1 goal ahead are able to lock the defense down and slow the game way down and make it nearly impossible to score.

Great match, great finish. The two goats on the stage with Turbo and Kaydop. Having said that, it's crazy how this is legit champ level gameplay now. No exaggeration. A good champ 3 team would win the whole tournament pretty easily.
You confuse champ level mechanics with champ level brain power. This version of pros would still wreck pretty much every rank up until maybe high level GC and low level ssls, I promise you that. Plus, players always play worse on LAN. Champs would stand no chance in this LAN, wouldn’t even be remotely close

@Cuck hold none of these players "need" a coach. its a tool on stage for a team to keep them focused. It also helps having someone with experience on pro scene thats looking at the games from outside, they tend to see more than those who are on the field.
@Cuck hold it's not for individual play. They're supposed to control rotations for when pressure is high or when the ball is up and the players can't see where anyone is. They communicate positions and tip the right player for the go ahead on the challenge.
A good coach keeps double commits to a minimum. Something killing c9 lately.
Wow wow wow wow!!! To much craziness to comment on! Something i would like everybody to appreciate tho is jstn! The nerves had him by the balls in game 6 and 7 he couldn't even hide it! But like a BOSS he kept it together he stayed calm while riding the most intense adrenaline ride of his life!! Ask any sports junkie that shit is HARD literally what seperates the good from the great!! Something to ponder on a small level moving forward is his breakdown afterwards once he was able to relax and focus on all that adrenaline it was to much it didnt end until the very very end when he was talking to scrub be interesting to see how that affect his play style moving forward!!
