Fantastic!!! What an awesome garage, some of the stories of past owners and what they did with the car is an adventure! Jeff, you should pick a car and do some exciting things with it and go on some epic adventures, and document each bit so that in the future you can also have a car in the museum that tells the story of your life with the car personally. Your garage is finished to a great level of detail, thanks for the inspiration!!

What a fabulous collection and great stories and history to go with it! I will add one thing. If I am not mistaken, you missed another Hollywood credit which belongs to the George Barris, custom Buick Riviera. I am pretty sure this car was driven by the character Henderson James (played by actor Ron Randell) in an episode of the original 1960's TV series, The Outer Limits. The episode was called The Duplicate Man and it was episode 13 of season 2. This episode also featured a very unique house known as the Chemosphere House. It was designed by architect John Lautner and was seen in a few exterior shots. As a kid growing up in the 1960's, I fell in love with both and wanted to live in that house and drive that custom Buick Riviera! It's nice to know that both are still around, so my dream could still come true!

      Roger,
      Roger,
Thank you for commenting. You are correct, the Villa Riviera was Henderson James car in the Outer Limited episode “The Duplicate Man”. The car was also on Perry Mason and appeared in ads for a department store and Cal Custom. James Darren loved the car so much he arranged with Barris to use it as his personal transportation. George Barris never missed an opportunity to promote.
      Jeff

Wow, Thanks…. Brought back memories of N. WEBSTER, WARSAW, Fort Wayne, INDIANA, etc “Speed Shops” ( some more Auto Parts ,& misc.)…And probably,I MAY HAVE paged through that 1967 Rod & Custom Magazine:: as I generally bought only ROAD & TRACK, OR Motor Trend Magaines ( leafing thru pages on others, on most Hot Rod)….in my early days at Purdue..actually I was STILL buying most magazines at “Drugstoresl”,
Thru 1990s approximately. Interesting, as I was in Pharmacy School until June 1965-1970.. actually memory has it that we got Glues(* especially **fresh glues), Testors Paints, AND MODELS AT the Drugstore’s……too. Great tour…. PS: I started hanging out in Service Stations ( Gas ,parts,& Repairs) a lot in starting before 1962, etc.

My Dad's dragster has found a home. Thank you Jeff. Dad moved from Orange, MA, in 1967 and took the dragster with him - first to Atlanta in storage, then to the basement of his home in Hanceville, AL. When he moved to Watkins Glen, NY, to be near me the dragster came along and was given to his Nephew to restore. He did , and it won its class at the Boston car show about ten years ago. Now Jeff has it, and amazingly he got it running! Dad would weep to know that it is being saved and appreciated in this way. [Oh, one interesting tid bit. Dad spray painted everything with spray cans of paint - and the color blue on the dragster required several coats.]. The New England Timing Association (NETA) was the sponsor of the drags at Orange and Dad made it happen.

Ron Lynch The difference between automotive designers and customizers is what they can do!. Customizers have alot less constraint then designers do, or so it seems, Take a look at the front clip of that Barris custom 63 Buick Riviera and then go look at a 65 Riviera and tell me what you see?.

The most detailed version of the 57 Nomad Revell ever made, was of this car. The photo of the car at the beach was on the box. I remember that I bought it because of the wire wheels, and they weren't included in the kit. I also remember that the wheels steered, and the tailgate opened two ways.
