What a great trip 👌🏻 😊 I've always wanted to go to Germany 🇩🇪 Beer 🍺 great food and Scenic views, what more could you ask, no credit cards though 😮 oh well, bring cash I guess 😂 The dinners at the end looked so tasty!! We can't wait to see the next set of videos. Thanks Steve and Sue, we hope you have a wonderful weekend 😀
So True! We had emailed their tourist office weeks before we arrived to have our questions answered. They were very responsive! Thanks for watching and for leaving a comment!
Lovely recount of your time in Garmish-Partenkirchen. I was surprised about the CC thing, though noting surprises me more than needing coins for the parking meters 🤣. It all looked so enjoyable and a true holiday experience. The food music and people. Great to share this and give me an opportunity to see an area I've not visited. Have a great weekend. 🇳🇱🙋♀🇳🇿 🎃🍂
Definitely worth a visit during your travels! Yes, in Bavaria about 75% of places did not take CC! We were surprised and wondered if it's something new. Anyway, a great place to visit! Thanks for watching and enjoy the rest of your weekend too!
September 2023! It was a great time to go. Weather was nice. Not too hot. Not too cold and it was after the summer tourist season. Thanks for watching. Thanks for asking a question. Cheers
They sound great and they're a real conversation piece in our home! Great to meet you too! Thanks again for talking on our video. Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas. Cheers!
No, it would be about a 40 minute walk to get to the stadium where you find the gorge, and the train station that takes you up to the top of the mountain is right in the center of garnish, so you can also walk to it. Thanks for watching and thanks for asking a question!
Yes, we noticed that unlike in the US where they take a tip for granted when we gave tips in Europe, the servers showed their appreciation. Thanks for watching and thanks for leaving a comment. Cheers!
@@TravelwithNJSteveandSue Unfortunately, I have not. From 86-90. My Dad was stationed in Frankfurt and Mannheim. At Christmastime we would stay at the Von Steuben in Garmisch and in the summer my parents and I would go to Bertchesgarden. We stayed at the General Walker and another military hotel that I forgot the name of. We also went to Chiemseee. Great memories. The Sound of Music tour was a great memory and so were the salt mines. Unfortunately, the Von Steuben and General Walker have been torn down. I will always have my memories, though!
@@AMERASIAN12 Nice! If possible you need to go back! But one of our favorite cities in the area was Salzburg Austria where, as you know, they filmed the Sound of Music. We visited that city back in 2018. Hope you can make it back someday. Cheers!

Hey - thx for the video. Great for our research. Do you need a car to reach all the hiking/lift areas?
No, it would be about a 40 minute walk to get to the stadium where you find the gorge, and the train station that takes you up to the top of the mountain is right in the center of garnish, so you can also walk to it. Thanks for watching and thanks for asking a question!
What to expect? Lots of middle eastern peeps!
Not too many!
10% tip is very high in Europe. We give a 5% tip at average. Although a high tip will surely be appreciated. 👍
