- Inbreeding is the result of mating two related individuals. Related individuals are more alike genetically than non-related individuals because they share alleles.
This lesson is part of the WageningenX MOOC called ‘Genetic Models for Animal Breeding'.

It's really understanding and informative
hello
Donald is having flashbacks.....
That orange face of Donald reminds me of someone, but I can't pinpoint it.
Making that pop culture reference with "Odie" definitely raises the chances of this dude being cheeky with his name choice.
Its The Donald…lol
I love watching these videos and seeing how clueless even the experts are about breeding.
Memorizing a mathematical equation isn't how you successfully breed anything.
You are trying to find the inbreeding coefficient in animals that are already related. All those numbers are wrong.
What if the father breed to his daughter is that
Same thing
Inbred
The kid of the daughter could still end up with two same alleles
(As example the dad and granddad of the pup has CF and the mother has CJ, J from her mom. Then the pup still has a big possibilty to have the same alleles, CC.
Thanks 🇧🇩
I think my dog is inbred
Terrible.
