Following along, and reliving it all again with you both. The day that you got off the Sun, we got on her. They opened up for boarding just before 10:00, we breezed through security, walked right up and got our Medallions, and were on the ship by 10:20! Fastest and earliest boarding time ever! We were no where near the front of the line either. You had mentioned the rocky motion of the ship, we never experienced that on our sailing. I wonder if there was an issue with the stabilizers? Loved that Caribbean band that played in the Piazza, they were fantastic. Great first vlog! Cheers from London, Ontario.
We heard from friends that the rocking motion went away the week after we left. So hopefully it was a temporary blip in the stabilizer system and its all good again. Hopefully you had a great cruise!
Princess finally received the memo from the 70's wanting their shower curtains back. As a young Detroiter, way back when, I loved the reference to "Pop" as opposed to soda.
Our daughter bought a bag of 250 mini ducks, every time she comes over she will leave them for us to find. It's so cute She's put them in weird places too which just makes us laugh. I've got mine on top of our computer stand. Duck Army lol
Very clever! It is the first time that we have ever spotted on that tiny. Definitely a lot easier to pack if you are bringing a bunch on a cruise ship to hide.
Hello Mr & Mrs. C!! Welcome to my ship! lol! I was on the Sun Princess with you, this being my second week! Over 900 of us were doing a B2B. Week one we were just under 4,000 passengers, but the second week we were sailing full! Lucky you! 😂This was my first B2B and my first solo cruise. My cabin was very close to yours. I was in 10108, directly below the Bridge and as far forward as is possible. I am a disabled cruiser, so I need a handicapped cabin. Shame on Princess for putting ALL accessible cabins in the bow or stern. On all other Princess ships, they have midship options for those of us using scooters. For that reason, I will probably not sail on the Sun again. Being a scooter user, I am especially sensitive to that poor passenger that had his accident 2 hours out to sea. I can't imagine waiting 2 hours to get back to appropriate help. 😪 I'll add more comments as you post. Nancy (blue scooter solo passenger)

I hope you're still not rocking and rolling on the forward high deck cabin. I sail inside cabins often & the Sun looks much smaller than other Princess ships. You have provided some great insights and concerns as I will be on the Sun in January 2025. I may be sticking with Grand Class ship with the wrap around promenade deck.
I just checked the deck plan understand why you were feeling movement in that cabin wow right at the top and right at the front.We stayed in 5212 deck 5 oceanview fantastic cabin and quite location
We were midships quite often in the sphere at venues on decks 7 and 8, and still felt much more movement than usual. We kept asking other passengers and the crew and many others agreed that something wasn't right with the stability of the ship. What caught our attention was the near calm waves always under 3 feet. This was our 48th cruise and we've had our sea legs for years - the problems with movement with the ship and movement in that cabin were two different issues.
Just like there's more than Eastern Canada cruises?? Good thing we enjoy ourselves in our own way. Also, this was the second of two cruises, the first being on Celebrity. That vlog follows this.
Elite members receive a stocked bar on all their cruises with Princess regardless of the ship. They have switch up what the bar consists of on the Sun compared to all other Princess cruises we have been on. Not sure if the change to the set-up will be fleet wide.
@@CruisingCanucks We were on Sun in September and the Elite set up we had was as normal with the small bottles of alcohol not sure why yours was not the norm maybe the cabin steward couldn't be bothered.
25 years of responsible decisions with money, hard work to get/keep good paying jobs, drive a 10 year old compact car, never eat out while at home, and find great deals to make the best use of the remaining travel dollars.
