They should have still mentioned the drivers no longer with us
Especially for Jr they could've said he now joins his grandfather Ralph and legendary 7 time Cup champion father Dale who were in the top 50 class.

Surprised a few guys didn't show up that I'd expect to be here. Feel like Mark felt like he got treated poorly after Las Vegas last year, which I agree 100% with.
Not sure why NASCAR shuns Mark like they do. The guy accomplished a lot during his career.
@@erniekopasz5760 Isn't just NASCAR shunning him, his entire former team (Roush) didn't even talk to him at Vegas last year when he ran the old Valvoline car. That Roush team is not a great place to be from what I know. Brad's doing his best to change that culture though.
@@mistertheking, Jack Roush did come to Mark in Vegas but it was well after the fact. Roush said he didn't know what was going on...which I find hard to believe.

As a Chemung County kid, Geoff Bodine has and always will be my favorite driver.
My grandfather was from Central NY and was a Bodine guy as well.
Must be an amazing feeling being ranked 75 all time with your dad (chase and bill Elliot)

maybe he was raised like alot of people who think it is self serving to clap for yourself, and clapping for a parent falls under same rules.

I got to have a chat with Red Farmer and Hershel McGriff and I learned alot about the early days of Nascar
They should've had Jr represent his dad and him and also his grandfather Ralph Earnhardt. Mark Martin should've been there. Many others should've been recognized even if they weren't actually present.
How did Mark Martin not make the list? I know he never won a title, but neither did some of the other guys on the list. He was also racing at one of the toughest times in NASCAR.

Exactly & I've missed D.W. since his retirement from the broadcast booth in 2017 I for some reason felt like D.W. was forced out at Fox when I think he made the show, sad he wasn't there being a EARNHARDT Sr & Jr fan

I am very very proud of my first favorite driver Ernie Irvan, Carl Edwards, Dale Earnhardt Jr & Chase Elliott are in 75 greatest drivers this year. Don't forget I was very lucky to started fan of him in 1998 during his 50 greatest drivers.

They’re on the list, but they probably couldn’t make it out, especially Tony, remember he’s got a drag racing team that he drives and owns

I understand Nascar may have had a tough decision on the 75 greatest drivers and know that Cale Yarborough is not doing well health wise but i think Darlington is Cales home track and and i feel Cale is one of Nascars greatest drivers but id say since he could not show up Nascar had to get somebody else also Ned Jarrett was not included he may have been sick so Nascar probably had to find somebody else too and I think Darrell Waltrip and Harry Gant and Jimmy Spencer was not included so don't know the reason behind that congratulations to the 75 drivers who did make the cut Have a great week and take care.

He is on the list. he made it in the top 50 back in 1998. This year, 25 new drivers were added to make it the top 75.

What happened to Darrell Waltrip and Tony Stewart
I get the big success in the Trucks series, but should Ron Hornaday Jr really be in the Top 75 for only being good in the lower rank series of Nascar, and no success in the Cup series? It's kinda like saying someone from the CHL or WHL is one of the best hockey players ever, even though they couldn't cut it in the NHL.

They are on the list, this was just for the drivers on the list that could make the trip to the track unfortunately some could not make it to track for obvious reasosns
All of the guys you mentioned are on the list, as you can tell there wasn't 75 guys on the stage, a simple look online will give you the list and all of the above are on it.
