First anime I ever watched as a kid and it’s still one of my favorites to this day. Except the newer stuff, took too much of an evangelion direction when it should be the mecha romance with flying surf mechs that it’s supposed to be.

Eh. It was good, too much time spent on trippy sequences and Renton spilling spaghetti though. The Gekko crew is also pretty shit and never improves.
Also the fact that literally everything after the original series is dogshit that seemingly goes out of its way to spite the audience.

fell in love with the couple. was so happy when i saw them at the end of ao. ao as a sequel isnt much but when you see renton and eureka, it really makes you tear up

Eureka 7 was beautiful, and I still remember it fondly 12 years later. They reallyessed it up with that AO stuff afterwards though. Please, just let them die in peace.

I still watch Eureka Seven to this day. I watched the subs as they released when I was a teen. To this very day it remains my wife and I's favorite anime. The music and the scenes all together was such a beautiful story you find yourself being almost envious of a anime lol.

I re-watch this every year. I keep coming back for the wonderful worldbuilding.
I got bored watching E7 Ao... Loved the original series but Ao is rather disappointing.
And it seems there might be sequels to that but I did not watch that for quite some time. I don't feel like watching any anime of that series again (except maybe the original)...

@fafnir9690 @ooo ooo Except Ao wasn’t disappointing at all. It was very good. It didn’t “spit” on the original’s ending. It simply elaborated and improved on it. Sometimes not everything just gets a happy ending. Sometimes things end on a somber note.

I genuinely don't think I'll ever get used to those two all grown up, mostly because of the height difference. Either Eureka stayed short or Renton got really tall.
you don't seem to understand that eureka came out of the ground the size she was, and lived for many years at that height before she met renton. of course she would stay short.
Eureka is still the same height she was "born" at, about the only major difference she appears to have in AO is slightly longer hair and larger breasts likely as a result of becoming a mother, as women's breasts do get bigger during pregnancy when they start to produce milk.
So yeah it's a case of both, Renton got taller as Eureka stayed the same height.

Eureka Seven will always be one of my favorite series to date. AO was a disaster of a follow up tho.
If they made ao returned with eureka and renton to their world in ending, maybe it will be a good version than the real ending

I was there for Eureka and Renton lol. If I remember correctly it was confusing as heck. I need to rewatch it cuz I can't tell if that was younger me being an idiot and not understanding anything or if it's just generally confusing.
This is pretty minor, but, I heard this song some time ago, and I couldn't quite shake the feeling that I heard something similar somewhere, so after some light digging, I discovered this song is sang by LAMA, the same people who made one of the endings of Un-Go!
