This interview was amazing!! She asked good questions and she talked to everyone and not just to one person. She did a really great job.
last episode no matter how grand just seemed rushed to get the happily ever after. They spent 4 episodes courting, they could have at least done 2 do get Simon's reformation moment. A grudge he kept for 30 years suddenly does not matter after mere months of marriage - not justified. May be season 2 will have more details about Dhaphne's pregnancy and how Simon copes.
As far as I know, the second season will mainly focus on Anthony's story and Simon will barely make an appearance. Even in the second book we see Simon only once.
I just watched the series so this reply is so late but this is so true. I hate how they rushed the last episode….that last 10 minutes of that easily could have been spread out over another 1-2 episodes.
Did anybody catch what Regé says when the interviewer asked whether they are willing to do it all over again at 14:05??
just watched this again Rege said he only signed for 1 season, but i n this he talks about were Simon goes next in the future story and what he expects why did he say this if he knew he had not signed on for more.?
Everyone who is in this movie was great, they did there very best,happy,sad ,so many things to do in Briderton it’s the best, I’m enjoying it waiting for more
noticed in so many interviews that Phoebe gets "upset" when the interviewers tell Rege how goodlooking he is
I know I’m late to the comments. I just watched this series. I typically don’t watched hyped up series when they are being hyped up. I am also not a soap opera fan and Shonda Rhimes series Grey’s, Scandal…are definitely night time soaps. Anyhow, I watched it, I loved it, I watched it again and again. Let’s be honest Duke Hastings is why I was rewatching. Anthony was also some eye candy. Daphne looks like a porcelain doll, beautiful. The hot sex scenes between the Duke and Daphne definitely kept me tuned in.
My gripe is Lady Whistledown should not have been Penelope. It didn’t match and I know that was supposed to be the shocker, but what ~18 year old writes like the mature narrator of the story/writer of the gossip column? Just too mature of writing for Penelope. It would’ve been just as shocking to unveil July Andrews actual because the entire audience would’ve been like when was she in any scenes….it would’ve played even better to show flashbacks of her quietly observing at different functions. Just my opinion.

JONATHAN BAILEYEish as we say in SouthAfrica! Having given us strawberry shortcake, do you really think any of us will be satisfied with oatmeal biscuits in Season 2? I mean, sure, Anthony/Jonathan is the eldest Bridgerton, next to marry, and modestly good looking at that. However, it is also true that he is not in the same arena as Rege-Jean Page; he is not even near the entrance gate. He will never command, delight and enchant your viewers as RJP has done - and I believe you know it.
Jonathan is perhaps on a par with Daphne/Phoebe who, though occasionally charming, could not hold a match to Simon/The Duke/Rege-Jean. Enough has been said about RJP elsewhere, and I need not repeat it here. Except to say his performance was exhilarating, probably unsurpassable in that particular piece. There is no reason to direct seven - or even one - more ‘Bridgerton’ seasons. Just because the books give us the chance of eight bites of the cheese does not mean that that is what we want or need. And in fact, if the author is so great on scripts, I believe she would serve herself, your production team, and all of us out here in uber-Shondaland, by taking the Bridgerton storyline along different, new paths which preserve, manipulate and drive our new friends.
That is to say, there are huge reasons for you to stick for at least one more season with the strawberry shortcake which has proven itself mightily. Refrain from pulling Rege-Jean, rework Phoebe who might do better with a better script (how many times does she say ‘I do not understand’? (sic), and develop textured tales for Anthony and Benedict who do indeed have their shattered sides. Of course, Eloise who is always fascinating must process as she will. With respect and admiration from Cape Town

I wasn't into this genre but watched the first series because of all the fuss and am now hooked. Whilst the entire cast is fantastic, I'm interested in the characters and what happens to them. I've just finished book five and hope that the stories remain somewhat true to the original source.

I agree with you! I did not start watching the show til I saw Rege' on SNL. I had never watched anything on Netflix before. When I first watched it, I couldn't believe what I was seeing...all races mixing in the 1800s??? But the show was a stunning and captivating fantasy/soap opera. The sets, the costumes, everything was superb. I watched the entire series 5 times more. Then, when I watched it yet again and again, I found myself fast-forwarding to only Rege's scenes (and the Queen's--loved her too). I think Season 2 will sustain, but it is not going to be 82 million again. Plus, as much as I love the diversity, I don't think every Bridgerton has to be with a person of color, and I think Anthony's love affair with a woman of color will look and feel contrived and forced and part of the formula. Benedict being placed with a woman of color for his season would have made more sense because he was into women of color in Season 1. Also, Lady Whistledown should not have been revealed in Season 1. Now, when we watch Penelope, we are not going to want anyone to talk in front of her because we know she is the gossip writer. We'll see... I guess.
