I don't want to risk them trying to continue their story and some sadness occur, break up etc. I'm satisfied with their story. Love it! It is enough. No need to stretch it.
They cannot be any cuter. Love these interviews without a moderator because they feel way more intimate and natural. Besides no one can be as cute an interviewer as Regé.
I agree. Simon fell in love first because he knew what love is although he convinced himself he wasn’t because of his ‘vow’ thing. Daphne did not really know much about the feeling of ‘love’.

It's really nice to hear them talk about the awkwardness of the table read. It's easy to imagine the actors as brash and unafraid, but reading that post-bridge scene would make most of us blush!
Phoebe seems more at ease and talkative when being interviewed by someone she truly knows or comfortable with (tho she jokingly mentioned here that she's nervous about RJP interviewing her). In her other interviews where she's being interviewed by press/media, she seemed more reserved and just let Rege do more of the talking. It's probably a bit of anxiety, and Rege understands it.

the way Rege says "good answer" in a cheeky way after Phoebe say simon and daphne fell for each other because they were friends first at 4:40 lowkey gives away alot. these two are so cute together and great friends.. for now ;)

This is my favorite interview with Phoebe and Rege-Jean. By far. I loved these answers ~ extraordinary work from both actors and your answers show the understanding of your character's arc of development from the first episode to choices made in the last episodes. I'm usually not patient enough for television ~ but 'Bridgerton' has me looking at the episodes' layer-upon-layer of artistry and meaning. The series is remarkable and the talent is luminous. A thousand thanks!

I am not surprised its #1 on Netflix Top 10 list since Monday. Listen is fiction but its one of the best series i have watched. I mean, you can not really depict what’s gonna happen next. And all the major societal topics that were hinted in the movie makes it really educative. I watched all 8 episodes in one sitting. Well done guys 👏🏾👏🏾

Yes, I do agree with Phoebe that Simon fell in love with Daphne first. Simon is clearly smitten. It is interesting how he never says the word "love" throughout the series. He says "I've always been yours, Daphne". I like the way he dances with Daphne in the burgundy velvet jacket and it's so intense and he leans in close and says let's find you a husband. I really felt that scene...it gave me butterflies in my stomach which never happens to me. I love that we get to see their power dynamic because in those days Daphne would not have been so outspoken in what she wanted.
Phoebe is correct that Daphne was just trying to secure a husband. She really didn't realize that she was already falling for the Duke and his charming ways. She was already dreaming about him. Simon escorted and danced with Daphne at all these balls and yet we did not see him dance with anyone else. He just observed her interactions with other men and sometimes became speechless. It was certainly fun to watch.
You are spot on, that scene gave be butterflies as well, I cried when they were at the inn for their honeymoon, and when they got to the castle, they were so free share what they felt. I loved when they were at the boxing match, taking small glances at each other in frustration.. The honeymoon love seen, can't find the right words ...Simon was so gently with her guiding her all the way through.. They made me laugh, cry... I think when Simon broke her is when he realized her loved her... I wonder why he never said it.
I like that observation that he wasn’t shown to dance or show even mild interest or amusement for any lady in the ton. And when Daphne got jealous and reproached him for staying out late “doing whatever with whoever”, he replied, “you wound me”. Like I would never betray you Daphne. There’s no other lady for me. LOL
@@alomiam8648 Yes, the Duke did say that. I figured he was saying that Daphne was insulting him because he would never even think of anyone else. It is especially hurtful to him since they were only married for three weeks. I believe once he met Daphne everything changed for him.

@@tamarawinfree4425 Thanks! I also loved the boxing match. I don't think ladies were suppose to be at such events in those days. I laughed so hard when Simon could not concentrate on the match or rolled up his sleeves and Daphne began breathing hard and staring at him. I said "Prince who"...The honeymoon scene was very special because he spoke from the heart. He also had no clue how she felt about him and he was gentle with Daphne the whole time. I especially liked the writers added when Simon asked "do you want me to stop" which is so important. Since it was her first time it showed that Simon was thinking of her needs and what she was comfortable with so she would not get overwhelmed. Such an emotional scene.
I AGREE WITH YOU 100% BUT I LOVE THEIR VERY FIRST DANCE BETTER IN EPISODE ONE. THAT CHEMISTRY WAS EVERYTHING..........IN ANOTHER INTERVIEW REGAJEAN SAID PHOEBE IS HIS CELEBRITY CRUSH, THAT IS A POWERFUL STATEMENT FROM HIM. MAYBE THEY WILL HOOK UP LIKE KIT HARINGTON AND ROSE LESLIE FROM GAME OF THRONES
Binged watched this TWICE in TWO DAYS! Best love story in a long time that's not tragic, and has so many layers and well acted characters! Love love love it! And In love with Simon and Daphne of course!

Since Simon and Anthony are good friends I really hope they incorporate that as well as Daphne into the next season if they go the route of the way the books are written. Because Daphne and Simon are such well loved characters I feel they may have to keep it going at least until they must give Anthony and Kate more storyline.I do hope they find a way to keep them heavily involved in the storyline in season 2 if there is a season 2.I loved all the books but The Viscount Who Loved Me and An Offer From a Gentleman (Benedict's story) were also very good. That is what is going to be so hard for Netflix....how do we keep the viewers interested if Simon and Daphne aren't there much. Cause I want them there more!
I think it is the best interview during the promotion! It’s good to know what they think about the characters’ inside and their relationship in detail.

Wow. I really loved this interview, I truly understand the characters more by they way they described them. Fascinating, it is like the actor who actually plays the role looking from the outside and giving their opinion on the characters. Loved them together so much, chemistry is off the charts and yes I shipped them first second I saw them together.

Oh they will for sure!! I feel like even if their story was resolved there’s new challenges for them with being new parents, etc. The focus of the show won’t be them, but they’ll be there :P
I think we'll see them. We had a time jump 9 months on, so it would be interesting to see them experiencing pregnancy and becoming parents all while Anthony and Kate are trying to fool us and Edwina they ain't in love 😂😂😂
I feel like what we would see between Simon and Daff is something similar to Edmund and Violet’s relationship played out throughout the additional seasons. I’m hoping that their isn’t much conflict but it’s Shondaland so we’ll have to expect something, right?🤷🏽♀️
Season 2. will be about the vicount.. Anthony . There is a book about each bridgeton child. There are 8 books . I do hope these two are in it season 2 some way.... Love their chemistry on and off screen..

They both know it instinctively, subconsciously of their love for each other on first meeting. It’s just their conscious side/ mind of them trying to choose to suppress it/ be in denial of it,
Why do they choose to suppress it/ be in denial of it?
For different reasons for each person.
And the reason why they do so is because of the way they were being conditioned from young. (Childhood conditioning).
This ties in to the idea of how our childhood conditioning is very important to how we are like in adulthood, and that it is often important to know that many of our issues in general stem from the childhood conditioning. This is one point that the show is trying to let us be aware, subconsciously or consciously.

They’re both equally independent in a way...and then when Daphne punches what’s his name and I think Simon falls hard right then! He suggests they should “pretend” but I think he is falling by then.
I fear for them in the second season because in the first they had the perfect romance, the right angst and everything and in the end of the season they got their child. In a writer's mind then it's time to destroy them next and in Shondaland the destruction can be brutal so we can expect some cheating next and that to me would be so sad to go with such cheap and predictable conflict. Hope they surprise us and come up with a better conflict than what we can expect.
Do not stray from the books. No messing around. No one cheated etc. In Julia Quinn's novels. I mean they have strayed from the books but please. These are love stories....S.G.
