  • Our seeking permanence in life-whether in outer or inner experiences-often leads to dissatisfaction until we break free from this cycle of desire. Excerpted from February 22, 2017, Online Broadcast, “The Immediacy of Awareness”: bit.ly/3O8FHyo

sending love and support to anyone experiencing and exceptionally difficult time right now. You are not alone! Reach out to a friend today, or a therapist if you are feeling particularly low.

Keep letting go into the stillness of your being to discover the source of peace. You got this!

Wow! ❤ Yes! If I am desiring anything to be other than it is, externally or internally, I will suffer.......Thank u......excellent pointer
Seeking at a certain point is suffering

Yeah. I love this. Kenneth McLeod, a Vajrayana Buddhist writer and translator, translates the word Dukkha as struggle, and not the typical translation - suffering. I think this is a really important shift in perspective. It is about finding a way of letting go of the struggle with what already is. Maybe it's just me but the notion of "letting go of suffering" almost seems to imply that we're aiming for states with less misery...
No, as you said above, any kind of striving, any struggle with where we are right now is a kind of difficulty we can let go of directly.
      Thanks for sharing.

as long as we are in the world dissatisfaction will occur. no way around it. even enlightened beings experienced this when in the world. it is possible to recognize it and relate with it, but not to get rid of it.

The cycle of dissatisfaction has very much been my experience. At a certain point in one's life, endlessly wave-hopping on the surface of the ocean ceases to satisfy and a longing to take a deep dive into the innermost depth of the ocean spontaneously arises from within the heart. When that happens, nothing will ultimately be able to satisfy the heart until one reaches and makes contact with the very Source of the ocean.

@@Lion-rf8xi I really don't know what you're talking about here. I got the impression that you believed that you have to sacrifice everything but God, and I said that it is not necessary nor even possible to exclude/sacrifice anything out of the wholeness of God.

The Truth is like the elephant in the room that everyone shields their eyes from. The wish to notice the elephant is that impulse. We are that elephant.

Do you like Hegel mr. Adyashanti?
"Spirit is when finite selves become conscious of themselves as infinite; and when the infinite becomes self-conscious through finite selves. The phenomenology sets itself a double task: to lead naïve consciousness to philosophical knowledge and to lead individual consciousness to emerge from its would-be isolation - its exclusive being-for-itself - so as to raise it to Spirit." - Hegel
