Would love to see a Troy vs Hightower comparison! They are on my short list to replace my current 2014 Troy

I have that planned! I Sprained my wrist a couple weeks ago so it’s setting me back which is a bummer! The Hightower will be gone soon so I hope my wrist feels better before I have to get rid of it.

How would you compare to the Bronson?

Hey I am actually uploading a comparison video of this bike to the Hightower tomorrow morning! As far as the Bronson goes, this bike climbs better and descends pretty similarly. I like this one better overall though.

has anyone ridden one at a bike park and have any thoughts? I'd probably overstroke it for 147mm of rear. I ride at killington quite a bit so I'm curious how this does

I have rode it at a bike park and I honestly only changed the front fork. I put a 160mm travel Fox Factory 36 Grip 2 on. That's then only thing I felt it needed for the bike park.

Is this the size M? I'm 5'7" with long limbs and short torso, currently on a Nukeproof Scout hardtail, 425mm reach (442mm at sag, according to their site) I feel pretty good on it with a 40mm stem; so i was wondering if it could be a good idea getting the Troy in the size S, the terrain here is very bumpy and some trails have really tight corners, i don't want to get the wrong size and don't want to risk being stretched out over the bike, as sometimes i feel like already am with the 425mm on steep switchbacks for example.
I really value the water bottle space since i don't want a hydration pack, in the size M a 620-710ml bottle will fit, don't know about the size S, even Devinci support couldn't give me an answer about it, really disappoints me that bike brands don't take such easy details in consideration, when i'm about to spend thousands for a bike i won't even be able to try before buying.
Do you have any thoughts on this?

I am 5'6'' and have the Troy LTD in medium... like you said, I felt a bit stretched but changed the original stem of 50mm to one with 40mm of length... no problems at all and I feel very comfortable.

I’d consider the head and seat angles against your current bike as the steep seat angle and slack head angle really shortens the top tube/cockpit. The seat angle on the Troy is likely going to negate the added reach while in the saddle. I’m on a large Troy at 5’10” though I prefer a larger bike.

Hey Loris this is a medium and fits me great, Devinci’s website says you are more in a size medium then a small. Even at 5’6” they say you are either a small or medium. Most brands do have an overlap. But with that said this bike does have more modern geo which is lower, longer slacker and I’d you don’t like longer it wouldn’t be a bad idea to get a small. I’d say if you get a medium definitely get a 35-40mm stem for the bike.
What Greg said is also 100% true, so if the dealer does not have both for you to try out then I’d say go find another all mountain style bike that has been released recently with an update and check the geo with the Troy to see if it’s similar and sit on that bike to see what size feels more comfortable. I will say the Troy is an absolute amazing bike though!
