We need more guys like Scot giving us the low down. His knowledge love for the sport an his calm voice. Never over shadows the riders , if anything listening to him commentate makes more excited to watch an listen to. . Scot your a legend my man 💪😎🫵
Loved it! But I got to say, more riders need to wear their helmets man. I’m all for progression, but do it with an helmet on. These aren’t light drops.❤
What sucks is only Garrett and Nathan are truly "pro" of this group. Meaning making a decent living at BMX. Brad had to start riding MTB's to finally get some decent sponsors. Freestyle BMX has fallen so low, I hope more high profile events like this happen more often so it can come off life support.
Scotty really is the best at breaking down each trick! This was amazing to watch but a bit hard seeing most of the riders without helmets, like no joke Brett got so lucky with that 5 that impact could have easily caused brain damage
I know X-Games isn't as big as it once was, but ffs can't we get this in HD!? It's 2023... Why are we uploading/recording this with potatoes?!! 720p seriously? Come on X-games
This was one of the most unique contents ive seen! Hats off 2 the X games for doing this event and holding it at such a unique location! Hope they do more events like this!
The Era of listening to Scotty Cranmer commentate these events. I wish he was still in em but so glad he is still finding a way to shine a bright light in the BMX scene. Glad ur here Scotty! Thanks. Great riding fellas! 👏👏👏❤️
No replays for even 2nd and 3rd place? The only thing preventing this sport from being as mainstream as skateboarding or mountain biking is the official respect those competitions offer their athletes comparatively.
Glad you all used the real street format from last year once again, this was one of the best if not THE best contest I’ve seen in my life and I grew up watching the early / glory days of X and Gravity etc in the 90s and 2000s. Great to see Rooftop, bring him back for sure! And as usual, Scotty is my favorite to have join on the 🎤 Absolute legend, both those dudes. And the riders! Just going to add that I wish I could be a rider that was a part of this because like Scotty talked about, this is different having so very many riders at a legendary spot going for bangers the whole time. That isn’t usually how riding goes. I had goosebumps just watching on YT 😅 Now, excited to watch the skaters
@@MrRadryan I think you failed to consider to he's old. Nearing 40. Probably contemplating lots of things. But whatever, it's not like you're the type of person to care. Just looking for entertainment.
I love this new bmx event! The group of current riders out here in SoCal can really bring BMX back to life. I’d love to see more events like this in the future
That was a specticle, just to see the riders in this competition competing at this level, I was stoked when I saw the X Games up and I was not upset with the out come of what the riders produced.😁😜🤙Their was a great panel of judges and a big thanks to the commentators, I'll be sure to watch this multiple times and comment again on my thoughts.💯 Great stuff Colin
One thing I noticed is the lack of young up & coming rider's, these are all legends of the sport, it would be great to see some cocky young sender in the mix......That's why skating is so popular, the insane stuff always comes from the fearless young guy/girl trying to prove themselves, like it or not we need some young blood in BMX!
I thought Nathan might try to do that but was still surprised he did and the fact that he came so close was devastating. I don’t care what anyone says that’s the most ballsy thing ever tried there. He should’ve been on the podium for hitting tires on it alone. The real goat
@@travisschram9684 I think the fact that he did it multiple times made it seem less crazy than it actually was. If he landed the 180 though he definitely deserved gold.
@@saturnvi5421 Oh trust me, every attempt was as gnarly as the last. And I agree if he pulled the 180 out I would’ve given him gold. Although I wouldn’t have been mad if they still gave Colin it for the fakie hop. Either way, it was a phenomenal contest and I hope it’s here to stay!!
@@travisschram9684 but 180 off the rail should definitely beat fakie hop considering Nathan half cabbed it already and has done the scare of not seeing the take off. Tires 180s way more difficult and scary I’d say.
Brett Silva’s 540 attempt over the rail to drop was INSANE!!! I’m sure if his rear wheel didn’t get destroyed in the process then Gold would’ve been his. Colin’s fakie hop was so crazy. Everyone in the comments hating probably wouldn’t even hop it going forward 😂😂😂
Went to school with Garrett he was and still is the most savage street bmx rider to ever do It !! Keep killin it brotha, Toms River North Mariners reppin!!
The 360 table was my favorite trick personally. But my least favorite moment was when the same rider, shortly before smashing his skull into the ground, spent a good 5 seconds adjusting the strap on his hat before going huge. Absolutely moronic to care more about keeping your hat fitting right than about keeping your skull intact.
From the throwback x game street park for bmx and street skateboarding and the recent rincon this year has been epic. Shout out all the commentators and skaters, riders and x games. So sick 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 Scotty, love you man, good to hear you and give great input on everything. You still the 🐐
I don’t even follow or watch or ride BMX anymore but man this was incredible to watch. You could literally become a vegetable if you mess this up. Also the commentators talking all softly like we’re in the masters is hilarious.
I find Gary incredibly annoying. I know I'm probably in the minority but he seems like he needs to be the center of attention and I grew up with a guy like that who left a really bad taste in my mouth so any type of boisterous personality really gets on my nerves.
I still think that schools should all be renamed/named after pro BMX and skateboarders, we get the most use out of them: We use the playgrounds before school, get educated in school, and shred them after school.
I went to middle school at Rincon and that spot is no joke, I remember seeing that spot in videos before I even went to school there but seeing it in person really solidified how much of a banger that spot is
Watching this after the Real Street skate competition... really puts the difference between Gary and Scotty into stark relief. I love Gary as a personality and for anchoring Skateline, but he really doesn't have the announcer chops to be doing XGames commentary... Scotty, on the other hand, is pure class and quality.
Scotty Cramer is one of the best commentators in sports
In this sport yes!..
Definitely, he's so good it makes the other guy seem corny....... They need two rider's, not a cheesy presenter that doesn't know ish about riding.
@@jerram3685 all sports, go cry about it

a soft voice guy? Cause I’m not into bmx, came from skate best trick (:
This is probably the best xgames event I've ever seen. Some of the goats all going off on a legendary spot. 🔥
I'm only a quarter of the way in and my mind is already blown. This format was made for BMX. These dudes came to play!
I watched the skate one after this. Back here for my 2nd time. BMX version was well better than. Skate
Ditto . The Fakie bunny 🐰 wow . What else is in store . I still have 2/3rds to go!! 😮
This is the future of these events. Thank you to everyone who put this together. Unbelievable!
yeah stick a helmet on lads! not worth killing yourselves if its easily avoidable
ive smacked my head a few times now and its absolutely NOT worth it

Who is going to sponsor riders who don't wear helmets in today's world? Only themselves to blame.
@@222tifi that is nonsense. Skaters also dont wear helmets, unless the are skating vert or megaramp.

I'm not going to lie Brad Simms was disrespectful to the format. Dude took like 2 minutes every time he took an attempt.
No doubt! They should have given the other riders an additional 20 min to make up for his set up attempts
