The girl who’s clingy needs some help. The separation anxiety part bothered me. Might be reaching, but that’s leaning towards the insecurity aspect of developing relationships. If you are secure with your partner you get anxiety if they are away from you. You can miss them, but you know they come back for you, and this is a cliche to say but absents makes the heart grow fonder. Partners need to have some form of independence so they can be better partners, and better themselves in the process. She needs to talk to someone about that if you can’t be in your own car to take yourself to work, but force them to drive you because you can’t stand to be apart is concerning.

Controversial take that will bring me shit but I'm going to say it anyway. If you're prescribed medication for a significant diagnosis, take 👏 your 👏 fucking 👏 medication 👏. It is a very, very common symptom of diagnoses like bipolar and schizophrenia etc. to believe medication isn't necessary or to not trust it.
If you don't think it's for you or you want to try something else, talk to your doctor or psychiatrist so you can do that safely and with support. Seek a second opinion, and a third, and collate that information.
