Change of theme Your video helped me pick this camera once I'd figured out the cons didn't really affect my needs. What you do get is a very compact lightweight, easy to take anywhere camera. The footage is fairly decent, so long as there's plenty of light available. The sensor is tiny and that is the real problem with capturing enough information to make 4k look decent. 2k/60 looks pretty cool, although only a slight bit better looking than 1080p. Works for me.
I like the styling, I like the large battery, the battery life is supposed to be good but the picture quality is not good, I wish ins or gopro had a similar styling, then I would buy it.

I love this camera, but you're right about the audio. I'm having a hard time getting good audio from it or hooking up an external mic. Do you know of any external mics that work with it? One huge benefit of this camera is how easily it hooks up to a computer as a webcam. The picture is much better than my other webcams, and I can use other mics for the audio.

Too bad, had they done it right, even if it cost $50 more, it would have made a great casual vlogging cam. And for God's sakes man, you're in Texas! Don't hit it with a hammer, put it on a clay pigeon thrower and blast it out of the sky with bird shot.
For me the fact that you cant charge the batteries on an external charger is a killer because you can't keep filming with you are charging up your spare batteries.
Have to say when i started watching i really liked what i saw, the compact size and the add on external battery. Then when i saw the video footage i was mostly disappointed. Great thorough review Andre and i agree 100%. 👍🙂

When I saw the comparison with the 5000X ELITE, the 5000 appeared to me as more natural. The C300 looks over sharpened (I am watching this from my 4K computer screen)...sometimes I detected slight out of focus moments, especially the grass scenes (but this might be me only). And yes, the shots taken by lowlight and evening takes me back to filming with VHS in the old days. My personal recommendation: I would not buy it...come on SJCAM check your competitors. You can do much better...!

With the GoPro Hero 11 being 249.99 and the DJI Action 2 right on its heels at 259.99 a camera like that for 150 bucks seems like throwing money out the window.

Well it's better, but it's really hard for me to recommend anything from SJCAM anymore due to their recent camera line.
