i have a fender with n3 pickups and mosr of the sound with my mini spark sound bad, fuzzy or too low. nowhere as good as here. guess it doeant work well with n3 noisless pickups.

@@GearGasms If you could answer this one question, I would appreciate it. I go to the Tone Cloud - ALL ( or whatever category) just like you are. You see all the different tones on the left side, with their corresponding graphic (eg ZZ Top). In the graphic, there is a 'play' symbol, which I assume allows you to preview that tone ?) When I push Play, that symbol switches to a 'Pause' symbol, like it's playing. BUT I do not hear any audio at all. Am I not understanding what is supposed to happen ? Watching what you are doing, seems when you click the image, the full preset comes up and you start playing. I do not get this. Note that I am running the latest firmware as of a week ago or so. Thank You.
Hey Uncle Alan that was great fun. There are a few tones I found which just suit the sound I'm after and if they aren't quite there I just tweak the setting and save it as my own. Please don't send Vinnie around to my house...ever!
Looking at the difference between the Sabbath and Barracuda ones, I suspect the overly trebly ones are because of amp placement trying to get rid of the muddiness.
Could be. Actually the thin Sabbath sound would probably sound more realistic in a mix but yeah hard to say what people are thinking when they make these tones!
I have a spark, but I prefer to make my own tones. I don't generally try to sound just like any certain artist, I just want to play for practice with the spark and then use something more serious for rehearsals or shows. I did like the Engl Fireball by Andrew Attard, though. I have used that as a practice setting for a while now.

Considering my fractal replaced an entire rack of amps, preamps, effects, pedals and a mixer, sounds 100x better, and comes loaded with a crazy amount of amp models and IRs...it's TOTALLY worth it. I find that most of these tones suffer from the problems, too much bass, reverb and gain.
Sultans of Swing does not have the chorus ala Andy Summers of The Police.
