Here's a grafting video Roy and Eric made. We just need to say that we actually just soak the stock for a few hours, remove them from soaking trays, and then let the plants suck up that water for at least 24 hours, so that they are nice and pumped up. In the video I say soak for 24 hours, which may hurt roots. We had to cut out the Euphorbia grafts for time, but we will include them in a future video. Enjoy!

I love moon cactus but the dragon fruit always rots on me… even when I know the watering isn’t too much or too little. I bought some of the cacti you’re grafting on but I went wrong in many ways… my knife wasn’t sharp enough, I didn’t do the chaffer or whatever the cutting down on all sides is.. and I don’t think my stock was plumped up enough!! I also didn’t have enough lava rock so my cacti wasn’t sturdy enough. It kinda slid with the rubber band. I really hope I can accomplish this last graft because the red moon cactus is pretty big and healthy compared to the crappy ones I lost, I’ll be so sad to lose him
Hello, what is the spray liquid you used during the vaccination process in your video? And what is the powder you sprinkle on the grafted plant after grafting, and how long do you leave it on?
so pumping up the stock and scion prior to making the cuts is what makes it unnecessary to put the graft in high humidity during the healing process? I suppose too that it matters what one's relative humidity is.
I give my top plant a twist to get juice to moving. On my really delicate ones I use a plastic wrap to hold it on there. If too dry you can use juice from Echinocereus Viereckii Morricalii to add moisture.
Is it possible to graft a madagascar palm branch? My branch broke off and lost its symmetry so I want to graft one to give it's shape back. Thanks Eric!

Can you tell me a good brand and style of super sharp knife to use ? Not many good choices in my area . When I order online, I’m always disappointed. They’re not as sharp as advertised and don’t sharpen well. I end up crushing instead of cutting . Thank you for the in depth video! Very helpful 😊

So what is the growing pattern after a slab piece of graft is applied to a stalk? Do pups come out the sides like the horns of a bull?
Pups can only come from areoles so any areole is a possible pup.

I always use stainless steal utility knifes. Super sharps, super thin, and you can always change the blade for a new one. ✌🏼
