India mein accidents ke 2 main wajah: 1. Logon ko gaadi chalana nahi aata 2. Rash driving ADAS won’t solve the problem of accident unless and until the people are responsible and disciplined.
In India, Corrupt RTOs have produced the worst drivers. We need delicensing of every driver and take new test of advanced test tracks where everyone is taught patience, discipline, lane discipline, roundabout rules, and other stuff such as not honking unnecessarily to reduce city noise. I request Motor Octane to make a video on Traffic Rules, Lane Discipline and suggestions for the government to act for improving our traffic system. We need to create a peaceful and non chaotic traffic environment. @MotorOctane
not at all... RTo is not the one to be blamed, everyone is responsible to ride or drive safely... i drive almost everyday in bangalore traffic, i get atleast 3 near misses each day... its a miss because of my vehicle's good braking system.. else it wil be an accident for sure
@@mysterymission3408 Basic Driving Discipline will only come when RTOs do their work better. The RTO Licensing Tests are literally a Joke where you get passed either by paying money or by just driving your car in an 8 pattern. We need to teach people about Lane Discipline, Roundabout rules, patience and a whole lot more stuff.
Not honking, that too in Bangalore! It leads to more accidents, honking is the basic communication of Indian drivers, like am coming and am here and don't come , am at hurry kinda all
@@celebratingedits927 Yes I agree that 40% of the time we require it due to bad driving habits of Indians, but seeing people for years driving, One thing is for sure that 60% of the times people honk unnecessarily, it's like it has became their habit which they're subconsciously unaware of. People honking all the way through their path even when many times obstacles aren't there, and many times they honk for baseless stuff, like around intersections (where they should slow and look around instead of blasting horns), or around traffic lights we honk without any reason. Trust me, apart from Bangladesh and India, no country has this honking problem. Our cities look chaotic because of honking. One way to solve is to lay out a plan to conduct strict driving tests where people learn driving etiquettes like Lane Discipline, Lane changing methods, how to use roundabouts, how to be patient, etc. I like in NCR region and I have never honked in the last 4 years except 3-4 times maximum, it is possible to drive without it. Just follow rules. Horns were made for emergency cases like to alert someone in dangerous conditions like brake failures, or to alert people who come from wrong side, and so.
Really appreciate your efforts Motor Octane... Great to see that somebody took efforts to explain ADAS in a super practical way rather than showcasing theoritical knowledge
One thing that can be done is complete automation of the RTO driving test, no officers on the test track, make control room for RTO test in state capital and Monitor all RTO test track from there, and let ai take tests, if ai makes a wrong judgement, make a feature to complain online to rto, then they check footage in control room, if ai Is wrong, find out why it was wrong and if the test applicant should be passed or not
In situations where a car equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) stops due to the vehicle in front stopping on a highway or motorway, and then the front vehicle suddenly accelerates, there can be a delay in the ADAS vehicle resuming its movement. This delay is due to the system prioritizing safety and maintaining a safe distance, which can potentially lead to rear-end collisions from vehicles approaching from behind.
True , but the overall deceleration is limited to -5m/s2 in extreme AEB situation which is enough for the rear end driver to react. Also this is a L1 ADAS feature which can only reduce the impact of accidents but cannot fully eliminate it. Still there's a long way to go..
You nailed it , Rachit ! As long as we have morons behind the wheel, no amount of tech will reduce accidents, in fact it might increase them ! Looking forward to your next video !
Lane discipline is a must, no tech can solve unruly drivers issue. When folks will know traffic management is a collective effort then traffic and minor accidents will get solved
Exactly, In India, Corrupt RTOs have produced the worst drivers. We need delicensing of every driver and take new test of advanced test tracks where everyone is taught patience, discipline, lane discipline, roundabout rules, and other stuff such as not honking unnecessarily to reduce city noise.
Actually India needs more stringent rules for issuing driving licences, coupled with drastic penalties for violations. ADAS is only an assist, it can't really help bad drivers avoid accidents - in Indian conditions, ADAS might actually cause more accidents. Since we seemed to have copied EU pollution norms for our vehicular pollution regulations, we might as well copy and paste their rules for driving licences too.
1. Every licence applicant's driving test needs to be video recorded and the test should meet US standards. 2. All of the applicants needs to be shown 20 minute compilation of road accidents before giving them licence. 3. This is very good info. I had a rear hit by a bike on Honda Elevate because of harsh sudden auto brakes. In my 20 years driving, I have not had a single incident of touching other vehicle. Honda Elevate's auto braking is a big threat for road safety.
We need to use Adas judicially considering its practicality . For eg I have switched off my front collision feature as it breaks very aggressively and there r chances to hit from the rear of the car.

Itne saare advancement ho rahe Hain automobiles mein, both cars and bikes mein. Roj naye naye features aa rahe Hain, which are really great. But what these companies are not focusing on is training their technicians at ground level. These days it is common to hear from customers that their bikes or cars are in the showroom for months and technicians are not able to rectify the problem.
Don't know about Animals but two wheeler and pedestrians are well detected, only issue I feel occassioally is high sensitivity. Situation where Indians would manuever usually it'll break suddenly
The environment where test is done is way different from actual tight road condition of many Indian cities. What about Coming of cycle, baby, cows from blind alley. What about rikshas, porter thela, cycle, bike manaueoving through tight gap between the cars Bike, car coming from opposite side. Test should be done in tight road condition Not in the airy test tracks. I still think adas is over intrusive in city road condition. But in highway it's fantastic. Manufacturer must provide switchable ADAS facility.

Proud of your Rachit. I think after Faisal khan you bring some value to cars.... I like the way you are expanding your horizons on car and it's engineering and bringing this knowledge to general public.
Keep it up
ADAS will work at best in any country where most of the cars have ADAS.
14.26 lakh on road with level 2 adas! Can you please share which variant is this you are talking about?
AX5L on road Mumbai
Outstanding video 😊👍🎉
Itne saare advancement ho rahe Hain automobiles mein, both cars and bikes mein. Roj naye naye features aa rahe Hain, which are really great. But what these companies are not focusing on is training their technicians at ground level. These days it is common to hear from customers that their bikes or cars are in the showroom for months and technicians are not able to rectify the problem.
Should we buy citron cars ??
Naah but Kia or Volkswagen
Sir, Gaye, Street dog, street vendor and lady Activa driver dummy bhool gaye Mahindra wale, jo right indicator dekar left turn kerti hain.
does adas level 2 works in maual cars or in manual cars it is just gimmik
What about from behind vehicle
Very useful video in TH-cam about car
Don't know about Animals but two wheeler and pedestrians are well detected, only issue I feel occassioally is high sensitivity. Situation where Indians would manuever usually it'll break suddenly
The environment where test is done is way different from actual tight road condition of many Indian cities.
What about
Coming of cycle, baby, cows from blind alley.
What about rikshas, porter thela, cycle, bike manaueoving through tight gap between the cars
Bike, car coming from opposite side.
Test should be done in tight road condition
Not in the airy test tracks.
I still think adas is over intrusive in city road condition.
But in highway it's fantastic.
Manufacturer must provide switchable ADAS facility.
ADAS is a switchable facility. One or maybe two car manufacturers are working on the things you mentioned, no one else is at the moment
Bhai please toyota rumion ka review karo

Anyone who requires adas in their cars shouldn't be driving. Europe or India. It is only going to numb drivers and increase accidents.
Bhai aapne vo news padhi hai kya Karnataka me ek family ko luta gaya road pe adas ki vajah se vo log vaha se nikal nahi paye jabki nakal sakte the

Good one ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Is this only applicable to Mahindra vehicles or even Hyundai & Kia have titrated the software as per Indian conditions??
Hyundai and Kia are still very aggressive compared to Mahindra. MG and Tata are also not completely Indianised softwares.
