Dude. I literally can't count past three without my mind going slightly somewhere. Even if it's just a completely random word or something just briefly popping in at the same time as the counting. Did you ever get this and just getting mad frustrated when they pop up like where you physically have to move to shake the thought 😅
I just set a timer and did 20mins and I think I counted to 10 like maybe 5 times. Am I doing something wrong or is this supposed to be incredibly frustrating at the start? Appreciate the videos so far!

Grant, I found your videos on TikTok and I'm often inspired. And even in this video - so much good shit. But you've missed the mark on ADHD. For you to claim that it doesn't exist is for you to deny what's been extensively studied and peer reviewed by people significantly more qualified than you, and I honestly feel like you're the last person who would think it valid to think you could understand this subject better than an entire community of more qualified individuals and a rigorous peer review system.
I'm 100% open to you proving me wrong, but we both know that you'd need to find peer reviewed data to back up your claim, and when it comes to where the medical community stands on ADHD, it's not up for debate.
Again, prove me wrong, please. But don't just check out and say "wrong" or "false" like you did on the other comments. These comments are valid, and if you're going to make such a massive claim, you should be willing to put in the work to back it up with some attestation.

ADHD is a behavioral diagnosis. (Often easily misdiagnosed)
Traditional treatments generally include stimulants (which many don't respond well to & come with varying negative side effects which often require a nonstimulant to counteract some of those effects. Also these treatments are essentially experimental as there is no explicitly identified cause.
Realistically though there are ways of changing thought patterns when you have the intention of doing so and there are also ways of improving nutrient deficiencies that may contribute to these behaviors.
First you have to understand how your brain is actually operating & ultimately the only one who has the direct observation of your thoughts is you.
It's much easier to tell someone your issues for them to help alleviate symptoms based on observation..
(Pharmaceuticals are designed to treat symptoms, they are not a cure.)
But we call this the bandaid method and it's specifically designed for people who prefer convenience or require immediate intervention..
Which is presumably why this man is expressing the alternative. Especially in a world where convenience has become necessity, and behavioral disorders are now a trending topic genuinely because people don't understand themselves. 😬

Anyway my point of the blabber is that actually... YOU can't "prove" that you have a behavioral disorder.
You either behave this way, or you don't.. and in a lot of cases your behaviors going to change under observation anyway, depending on your environment, comfortability, etc..
You can however be tested for deficiencies often associated with the behavioral disorder and go from there.. but generally it's much more simple just to say "here, try this" to someone who is struggling with themselves than it is to figure out what is directly causing it - for YOU - and implement changes necessary.
Which requires consistency and effort most people don't actually want to commit to or ever attempt.

You said when you start becoming aware of the present you get this vision other people don't have and that your natural pattern recognition system kicks in and you become aware of things that you weren't before. What does that mean exactly besides being aware of negative thoughts? Like me personally, I'm a low neuroticism person, I rarely get anxious or stressed even if I'm in a very stressful environment but I only meditate a couple times a week. Is there a point for me to meditate besides that or does it also help with other life stuff being present and having a different "pattern recognition system". Nice video.

I think what he means is you see people for themselves and peoples actual motives. You understand things deeply and understand how the world operates if that makes sense?

This video is great and has some awesome points, you really had me engaged until you began incorporating statements around ADHD. It is a real disorder and you do not have the qualifications to be stating otherwise. This advice is awesome for people who are mentally healthy. For those who are not this can definitely HELP and alleviate their dysfunction (like how a good diet and exercise can help most people stay healthy) but they still need medication. Great video other than that.
