Whoever is reading this. I hope you find peace and happiness in your life. And dont think youre alone. Even someone who seems strong on the outside is battling their emotions inside.

@@almaslakhani6693 there is no answer, and the fact we are both here trying to figure out how with this TH-cam video shows we are aware and want to change. And thats really good and positive. I think it is just becoming stronger. And learning about ourselves more. Only you know yourself and only you need to understand yourself. Just find that. Because it is so disheartening when you want to be fixed and make the same 'mistakes'. Just see every emotion as a test and as an opportunity to grow and become stronger. Be proud youre trying and look back at how far you have come even if it is little things. Just know your feelings and emotions are valid and you will get through it. All the best Almas

Summary: You choose how to interpret the external stimulus. The way you interpret is the thing that determines whether you feel bad or good. It's true, you get triggered in the moment and it may hurt, but you can ease the pain by choosing a positive way to interpret what has happened.

@@Lene1973a Why not? If someone you love dies, would you rather choose to feel good instead? Or would you choose to grieve? Besides, by being attached to a mortal human you chose the consequencss. There are also historical examples of people remaining unaffected by strong stimuli that would be emotionally devastating, like news of their child's death. Like any skill, choosing how to interpret respond takes practice to get good at.

Weed is not the best tool.
It’s a psychotic/hallucinogenic. It causes depression in the long run. If you have anxiety it will make it worse. It helps some, but for others it can make some permanently mentally unstable. That’s is also the reason why it’s being so regulated. Talking from experience and being a psychology student.

I understand you. Infact like you from time to time I smoke as well and it has helped me (dive deep within my head), but when my depression and anxiety got really bad and almost borderline, I went into psychosis and just the PARANOIA. That is the true reason why I am trying to put this disclaimer out there. In this day and age everyone is trying to smoke weed and you got these young kids and impressionable people watching and reading these comments and I don’t want them absorbing this information incorrectly and using it irresponsibly. After that psychotic break, weed is something I’m quite defensive about.

If you have perfect peace with god internally (god being the universe, balance and perfect harmony of the world) then, nothing external can change your state of being, as you are in perfect peace. Therefore we should not feel emotions, just peace. All emotions are a sign of weakness because you haven't found god yet and you are living in this false reality instead of the reality in which you are one with everything (everything being god).

    • @AlaskanPanda21
      @AlaskanPanda21 5 ปีที่แล้ว +11

@@sunflower88639 I broke free of the religion that was shaming my sexuality, I moved away from my controling home environment. I learned to make three deep breaths when I felt the extreme frustration and anger. I relized that the person I'm talking to at work, a co-worker or customer doesn't know my past didn't know I was having a rough day or a rough patch in my life, they have no idea what's going on my my head, and I still struggle with getting out of my head mind set when at work and not taking it out on other people, the anger, saddness or what emotion I'm feeling at the moment.
I also learned to take Tim away from my phone and people and just be with myself and my thoughts, even if they're negative thaughts, I took time to think about why I jump to think a certain why in a certain senario, and I used that method with many senarios and if I couldn't I did research and read about it or listened to another video on the topic on the way to school/work. And if I felt that my best friend could help me with a question I'd ask her or my other close friends.
It's early in the morning, if I think of anything method I forgot to mention I'll come back and add it

    Hey leo!
I watched your video like 2-3 months ago, before that I used to be very emotional like I use to cry n very little things due to my personal issues, I wasn't able to control my tears even in public it was very embarrassing for me then I googled how to control emotions I saw your video, no offense I thought it is some hypnotizing sorta video and shrugged it off but later after 1-2 days I found your video again and viewed this time. after like 6-7 min you made me realize I'm the controller of my emotions and after I exit the video I thought about it deeply and vowed to try it for once at least. I tried controlling my emotions everytime I felt low Honestly it worked now I can control my emotions like a pro. I don't show my weaknesses to others or burst n tears before anyone😀 untill or unless I want to! I'm really grateful to you leo because without you my life would be miserable like before. Thank you so much for helping me😊😘😘

Respect & Treat your mind/body well with regular meals (every 2-3 hrs) of healthy foods, correct portions, activity and regular sleep. This helps your mind/body feel calm and relaxed because your basic needs are met - (exactly like when playing SIMS3). When feeling out-of-sorts: have a hot shower; Have a nap; Take yourself for a walk in the sunshine; distract yourself with a movie; hug a velvet cushion and wrap yourself in a velvet throw rug; give yourself a pep-talk; lay down with a picnic blanket on the lawn and watch the clouds and hear the sounds of nature. You may notice that these self-soothing options, bring you into the present moment (ok not the movie) I am sure there are many more ideas out there that you can think of - especially stuff that works for you.... share please

I can't believe i searched this up 6 years ago. And now I'm in a different mindset. My mind shifted so hard. What i learned is that everyday you have to condition your mind to be positive and level headed. At first it wasn't easy but i made it happen. Also what i eat matters too. Eating fruits and protein foods matter. What also helped me out alot is water. Water is the source. Water changed my brain for good. I drink it everyday after i wake up. Exercise 1 hour a day is key too. Also your social circle matters. My brain started slowly kicking the bad out and not needing them. It something isn't bringing value to your life. You should leave it.

This is the best video ever.. I never knew I had permission to feel however I want to, we get so conditioned to feeling a certain way due to what happens to us that it never crossed my mind that I don't actually have to feel that way.. thanks alot because I've been struggling with this for a long time, I've been trying to find a way to kill my emotions because I didnt know where they came from

Hmm I always understood that you don't have to make negative thoughts positive per se, you just have to not believe (care about) the negative thoughts. The problem lays with the fact that when we believe those negative thoughts they create an emotion. If you have a thought but don't believe it (or don't care about it), it won't create a negative emotion.

It's also called "looking on the positive side of things." I was always really gd at this. Everytime a relationship went bad, I'd always think "there's plenty of men in this world. There's someone better than him out there for me." And that would always make me feel better, but I think things still hurt. You're still gonna cry & hurt. But thinking on the positive side does help a lot. Currently in a mixed emotions relationship, I've let go of that positive thinking I always thought. I DO have a ton of positive things that could come out of this relationship, if he chooses the route it seems like he's going.
I just never thought this was controlling ur emotions.
It also helps to NOT CARE. thxxx. 😁

I have learned to stop, take my time and think about something objectively before I react to it or decide how I feel. Taking a extra minute or 2 and stepping outside the situation emotionally has helped me get through some pretty crazy situations and stay completely calm. I feel its helped me mature SO MUCH. I think with my brain now and not my emotions.

I’ve had multiple surgeries and the most recent was a back surgery. Scheduling the second on now. What I can say is my mental state totally changed. Life in every firm has changed. My emotions right along with it. Meditation has helped with the frustration of it all fir sure. Wanting the physical body I had, pain free is my biggest desire. I’ve been controlling my emotions honestly 60 percent of the time. All in all I’m grateful to have come across your video. Yes I’ve subscribed and will check out your newer ones. Any suggestions on the ones I should watch are gratefully accepted!

All the Tony Robbins, the Jack Canfields, myriad hours on self-improvement - and then I meet LEO through TH-cam and it gels. Leo - sometimes the emotion happens very quickly and takes over us completely. When we're "inside" the emotion it can be difficult to see we're creating it because it takes on an almost concrete reality and we feel justified in our emotion. In my experience, accepting an emotion without trying to change it can make it pass quicker. If we try to reframe it, we can sometimes feel like we're fooling ourselves and that can make us feel worse. Maybe sometimes it's best just to sit with an emotion until it passes. Also, an emotion can sometimes carry useful information to us (e.g. loneliness might indicate I need to go out more, anxiety might indicate I need to exercise more etc).

    • @ActualizedOrg

That is why it's necessary to develop consciousness. So that you can not get caught up in emotions when you don't want to. Emotions aren't the enemy. The problem exits only when your emotions got you by the balls. Yes, emotions can be signals, but most people get so caught up they miss the signal entirely.

    • @robertweekes5783

***** First it is the thoughts about a particular circumstance or stimuli that causes us to feel emotions, then our thoughts about the emotions themselves can amplify the emotions or create a perpetual cycle unless we choose to break it. The cycle can be good or bad, but it's important to filter the stimuli to put yourself on an upward trajectory as opposed to random fluctuations that get you nowhere!
