I've tryed has far as possible to not get hitted
by the dinosaurs, except on 2 part. First was when the t-rex
chasing me when i'm in a tank (it is impossible to not get
hitted) and, obviously, the last boss who was, at my opinion,
the biggest troll ever coming from a videogame. There's only
one ending in this game and... this is a pretty good one i
think. (Anyway, as you can see, i love trolling the Allosaurus!)

Kind of but their engine was actually really good. I mean the background and such still looks good..or would look good if it would not get streched on todays monitors that have stuff like 1920x1080 or beyond.

Its so weird, like your characters get displayed better and are actually really "sharp" while the background has literally a certain "resolution" that will get stretched. I guess on an old TV the characters will look pixelated but the background will match ALOT better^^

Growing up i thought no one played this game but it was one of the most popular games glad to see it
The jungle in this game was outstanding, imagine if remade today how amazing will it look?
They should revive this series by remaking the first 2, and rebooting the third one!
The problem wouldn't be making it pretty using today's technology, l am sure if Capcom used their newest RE engine on this game it would come out beautiful. I think the problem would be successfully conveying that vibe from the original games. For some reason l think it would be extremely difficult to properly remake this, not impossible but difficult for sure. l think the expectations would be too high. Take a look at Resident Evil 2 remake, came out perfect almost but they fucked it up pretty bad with Resident Evil 3 remake, lots of stuff was cut out, and some things were changed, and just because of that, a lot of fans that played the original weren't satisfied with the remake. New comers praised it, but that's because they didn't play the original RE3.
@@TheVlatko666 RE engine barely could have 3 zombies on screen with huge frame drop. Making jungle alive would break engine that is not really good anyway. Days gone creators made that you can have alive world so they would be far better for that job.
RE2 reimagening as standalone game it was good for one time play but as Remake it falls in every category. barely 3/10 as remake of original
Dino crisis 2 is my favourite because the game has more locations, more enemy types and less annoying puzzle. The jungle, the 3rd energy facility, the underwater level, the city and time travel base are just beautiful background to look at.
Still the greatest game ever created. I can play this game over and over and never ever get sick of it. What a perfect masterpiece.

It's shocking how different both Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2 were. Not only in gameplay, but in the visuals and technology. The first Dino Crisis was a complete 3D game (characters, scenario...), and the sequel used the classic pre-rendered 2D background graphics like in the Resident Evil series. The first game, being completely 3D, was able to make a lot of tricks that this sequel can't, like travelling cameras, zooms or even change of perspective (in some scenes we were able to see the action from the view of a Raptor or the T.Rex).
Then, of course, the abismal changes in the gameplay, one being clearly action oriented, and the other totally survival, were kill dinosaurs was harder and was crucial to know how to move through the complex, mix resources... And still, both games were amazing in their own styles, but I always wondered why they didn't wanted to use the same technology on the sequel. Great and underrated series (or maybe too damaged by the infamous third game).

Osama LK if you remastered this game on a new gen ps4 it will look awful.. This game doesn't need remaster this game need a REMAKE VERSION... Back to square one and REMAKE this game.. Remastered is the laziest thing to do because dino crisis if from the 1st gen console...they will just remove the aliasing on this game then boom remastered version is done from the ps1 version...

I don't know why, or if its just my opinion, but so many PSX games especially have that magic in them. I don't know how to explain it, if its just nostalgia. True psx fans know what I'm talking about. Remember guys, books are not judged by their cover, and games should be no exception (Graphics). I once managed to beat this game, without buying any weapons, of course apart from the firewall which is required to kill the plants.
Ps: I always had a crush on Regina, i think she is asian or japanese or something, but she sure looks quite sexy in this outfit ;3

I love the fact that I can play this on PC too so I dont need to use some stupid emulator that wont work anyway ^.^
..also the game detected my 1920x1080 solution and had no problem with it! the background was just a little bit "stretched" but that was fine because my character itself was still rather detailed and such so it was all okay but it really surprised me that such an old game offers this solution because I know many newer games who simply never had a widescreen solution programmed in them

Imagine a total remake of the game. Would honestly pay $60 for that. Just take all the graphics. Fix the camera pause, new polygons for everything. HD textures. And bam. Capcom will get money as if they partied in 1999...

What I realized a couple of years ago is that the different roar that plays when you start DC 2 foreshadows that something out there that may be even more terrifying than the Rex but you havent seen it yet.

oh wow. Parasite Eve. Damn that game! I was a kid and I was so scared of playing it. Plus I didn't speak a word of English so it was really hard to know what to do. But I would love to go back to it. Here is to PS5 for having backward compatibility with all other PlayStations

what's wrong with these uncles... same... i didnt think that he would let me play this game, because it was so gory and violent... so once i turned it on when i was alone, i was playing it, chill, and then he broke through the doors and then i managed to realise that he was ok with that. Started to love my uncle even more.

Something I never really noticed while playing the game is that, when you start a new game, you hear the Giganotosaurus roar, like how you hear the T-Rex roar when you start a new game in the first one. At the time, I knew it wasn't the T-Rex, but I didn't really think much about it.

remember all of these games ahh the days when you didnt have to worry what tv to play it on and we never heard of 720p/1080p, these games still have their atmosphere which i dont really have on ps3 very much, maybe its just me or im older now
HiSuue Try Demon's Souls. To me it's a how a proper videogame is supposed to be. Challenging, engaging and most of all fun. It has that atmosphere and magic to it like any classic game has.
Such a great game. Full of action. I've been playing this game recently and it has aged very well. Great sound effects, nice animation, lots of different dinosaurs and lots of guns!!!

Good god, it irritated the crap out of me to watch you check the prices on the anti-tank rifle and the rocket launcher, decide you didn't have enough, then turn around and dump all your money on magazine size increases that you didn't need.

I remember this masterpiece. It was so much better than the slow and cumbersome first game. The focus on action over survival horror suited the game much better.

I always wanted this game to have multiple endings like the first one, I always looked for it but couldn't find any. Spectacular game and series, really enjoyed it .
This, to me, was the golden age of gaming, and this game was one of the best. I couldn't tell you how many times I played through this and NEVER got tired of it. I can see a ton of influence for RE 4 in this game. Fast pace action, the upgrade system, heck, even the main characters are actually likeable. This and the first on also prove you don't need weird mutated creatures to make something horrifying. Having something (mostly) grounded in reality is just as entertaining, so long as it's done right. This one's in my top 10 of personal all time favorites and I hope this and DC1 get worthy remakes soon.

I, too, bought a lot of extra ammo during my first gameplay, not knowing there's better weapons as you progress through the game.

Oh man, I really love this game until now and never felt sick of this! When I was a child.. I remembered my gamer Aunt who loved to play PlayStation games playing this game but I did not remember if she finished the game or not because the disk of the game we had is from my cousin's bestfriend.. I was really scared of this game. I remembered when I first saw the Velociraptor jumping from the window at Dino Crisis 1 I was amazed mixed with being shocked of the scene and also the intro's of both game series.. I was really amazed of both's intro because I used to love Dinosaur from being child until now! remembered .. when I was a child I quickly go into my Aunt's house to watch her playing the game .. I'm watching with feeling excitement and nervous because of the game's sound effects and dark parts of the sorroundings.. and hoping someday I can play this game and I my dream come true! I've played this game for the first time last year... I've downloaded PCSX2 in my PC and played the game with full potential and excitement. It was pretty difficult. When I was a little kid I used to go in my Aunt's house every afternoon to watch her playing she played for about 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, when it's 5:00 She turned off her PS2 to give it a break and to do some chores like taking care of her siblings. Until now I'm hoping that I can download this game again and beat it many times as I can. I've read a lot of rumor posts about it's new series hope it is true that this game will come back again with new awesome graphics and game puzzles and more challenging trials... Imagine in this generation you will see the all new Dino Crisis graphics and the all new-looking Dino's. Capcom, take back the game! It's time to make money!

Back when games had more mystery,fun and amazinf decent scenarios and of course they were lasting x20 times more than an average ps4 game.I miss those times.I remember that it took me more than 3 months to finish Dino crisis and FF2 together.
Kozzy Kay I've always thought videogames were longer back in the days but its only because games were a lot harder back then. I just finished Resident evil 1 and Resident evil 2 in 1 day. Games these days are juat easier which makes it seem like a short game

Capcom has talked about a reboot just recently, However its a rumour.
They already continued that story with 'Dino Stalker' a year /prior/. That's why DC3 is unrelated.

Not much, no. But... Dino Stalker starts right after Dylan and Paula are saved and get ready to go back to the 21st century. That means that any story about Regina coming back to save the two wouldn't have much length. It was relevant /enough/ to the plot that a proper sequel would no longer make sense.
First Dino Crisis os like Ridley Scott's Alien but Dino Crisis 2 is James Cameron's Aliens. Guns blazing and action.

Took me 7 hours to finish this game when i was young for the first time...i think i wasted my time doing extinction runs across the first jungle areas, i was a way to rich with points, hunted down everything in sight, upgrading rifles to have insane ammo counts for no reason, tried to kill T-Rex in the military base for the first time, FOR 30 FUCKING MINUTES, just spaming gun fire into him from both shotgun and plasma rifle, what young brain wants, it tries to achieve, also the fact that i didnt understood english at the time made it that much funnier when that dialog says you cant kill T-rex with common weapons.
also i think i spent at least 5 hours minimum per playthrough later and during the first one ive spent 11 or so hours, clicking on everything to see what it can do, to see what it says, this game taught me english.
In military base, when you enter the building, i spent once hour or so trying to enter that door that had debris over it and you cant enter it, i wanted to enter it, i thought i could enter it. went on killing everything, thinking it will trigger something to open it.
Then that jeep blocking the road, you guessed it ,i tried passing through it, to no avail. That collapsed tunel, I TRIED to pass through it endlessly, each and every play through, back when i was young in 2001 or 2.
also i tried finding survivors, for damn hours....sigh. that guy in 3d facility where you have to go underwater, the one that died and his data pad told you about a key card in the river stream....i tried saving him..yeah, after learning a bit of english from insane amount of playing this game, and realizing he has been dead for just 2 or so days, i tried saving his ass by rushing the game on one of the many many playthroughs , hoping that by some damn miracle he will be alive and i will get his ass alive, heh, tried saving all those personnel in research facility as well...
i also tried to find secret passageways into the jungles by clicking on everything while running against the wall. didnt work so well, spent 11 hours once in my play through when i was a kid, just doing that, hoping to find a new stage. also, i never had a memory card, so these insane feats were accomplished in one day and one sitting.
ive done that, and so many other things when i played this game. At the time i thought this game was godlike, with endless options, like i expected the game to be more than it is, far far more. The power of child's imagination is a powerful thing indeed, i dont regret a single thing i did in this game, i had fun, and still play it each May 10, as a tradition.
Best game i ever played on PS1, and probably one of my top 5 games ever, this game definitively marked my childhood, in so many ways.
I don't know with you I tend to do well with Resident Evil and Dino Crisis game.
RE3 and DC2 to be exact I finished these two games in around 3:30 mark and that when I was a kid.
Loved it but I nailed the Dino Crisis 2 so many times and unlocked infinite ammo so I had to move on.
RE3 on the other hand that game never gets old I still play time to time on PS Vita.
Barebare kun i never done a true speedrun of the game, i just love it so much i stop and admire the background and still click on stuff, because it causes much nostalgia for me. not to mention once you start killing something, its to fun to stop. my fastes time was 2 hours 17 minutes, and even then i kinda played around. RE3 i played also back in 2001 like DC2, but i never finished it until 2 years back, because it frightened me back then and i finaly decided to finish it and get myself some closure. DC1 on the other hand, never went past act 1 or so, same reasons as RE3. i might try to do it this or next year, just to see what happens in that game.

The one for me in that regard is Zelda Ocarina, I have played so many times that game that I know it like the palm of my hand, barely understood English so I can understand what you mean. This game for me is pretty special in the regard that in some aspects it's played as an old Resident Evil game, and I really loved dinosaurs back then so this was the one that gave me courage to try it, and gain understanding of how it's played, what to do, what to expect, etc. , it's the game that "broke" the wall to all of these games.
GodlyDan1 not to put this game down, because I really like it too, but the first dino crisis plays more like a retro resident evil game.
I sure hope this series is rebooted, I'd settle for a HD remake for next gen of DC1&DC2, screw Dino Crisis 3! It was gash.

OH GOD. One of the BEST GAMES I'VE EVER PLAYED. This brings so much memory to me. I remember i was stuck for long time in the part where you have regina and you have to pass the knife thorough the sensor to open te door the first time. Well, i DIDNT KNOW THAT. Besides i was a kid and i did not handle english like i do now, so, basically i was just walking around, shooting and improvising. Took me 2 years to discover the solution because there WAS NO TH-cam. It was 2000 i think, i was 7 years old and i didnt know about meristation and those old websites that posted guides from the game i didnt have computer or internet, so. Something similar happened with Soul Reaver in the lair of Sephon, took me 2 years too. And i made it thorough a GLICH in the game, not even with the right steps xD. Ahh game storyes. Priceless.

Wow last time I played this I was 4 and I always got to the part when the t rex came out and I always tried to kill him I didn't know you had to run away. I didn't know English either so I sucked at most games lmao
