How can we identify the focus when they given only essentricity value only ?
They'll give some other distance in that case.
Why doesn't autodesk do this automatically?...
Autodesk has many software. Some of them have in built functions for it. In AutoCAD we may have to write autolisp program for it.
Till how many points should we keep on going
It depends because the hyperbola keeps expanding. A minimum of 10 points are essential to clearly draw the curve.
However if you are asked to specifically find a specific number of points do the same.

All the videos are working.
There a link to download template file at the end. After downloading you need to open it using AutoCAD to stay using it.
If your AutoCAD version is older than 2019 it may not open.
Hope that answers your doubt.
