Edit: Some of the scarabs have doubled in price since i ran this method, probably due to farming 8 modded t16 maps in t17s - so itll be less profitable because itll have a much steeper investment currently (its currently down from 10 divs profit an hour to about 5-6 with updated prices) - that being said eventually the scarab economy will settle and this strategy will become extremely good again. So this is something to always keep an eye on depending on scarab prices but i wouldnt recommend running it right now Edit2: Prices are already coming back down, and tier 17 prices are going back up - its already good to run again The atlas tree in the video is a bit off, i was changing stuff around with it before the vid and forgot to change stuff back so its missing map modifier effect - make sure to follow the one in the description if you want to run this strat Also just to have it as a comment, the mandatory checklist for this strat is: 4 voidstones, 8 modded strands, the atlas tree in the description (if youre missing 10-20 points just take it off scarab% chance and some of the smaller map nodes near the start), 1x cartog scarab of escalation and 3x cartog scarab of multitude - if youre not following all of that, then theres a good chance you wont get the same results
08/01 I just checked the scrab market, seems everything is back to 2c. I am having lower drop rate following the same atals tree though. any specific requirements for the map roll?
The only requirement is 8 modded maps, the atlas tree in the description, 4 voidstones and the scarab setup You can count all of your combined map drops then find 6.4% of it to figure out how many tier 17s you should be dropping, and figure out if youre just getting unlucky
with other T17s increasing in price do you think it's better to run better maps than strand? Underground sea has some of the highest mob count with an ok layout and boss rushable and converts to Ziggurat which is 80c (fortress is 85c). Strand has very little mobs
Hey, thanks for the video once again, big fan of your content. Just ran around 15 strand maps and got only 2 fortresses. Only have 123 points for the atlas right now so didn't take most of the eater nodes but was hoping it'd be OK nevertheless. Just poor luck due to small sample size or doing smth wrong?
It should still be okay without the eater nodes - I had two dry streaks of 7 maps in my 50 maps, to make sure youre doing it right you can count the amount of total maps youre dropping - if its around 7 per map (so if you made 105 maps in those 15 strands) then its just a bad streak of luck As a checklist, these are mandatory: 4 voidstones, 8 modded maps (this is important, if you dont run 8 mods you lose out a lot - we need 8 mod maps to get value out of the cartog scarab of escalation) and ritual/shrine/map%chance/map modifier effect on the atlas tree - if youre doing all that then its just bad luck so far
@@BawLoch thanks for replying. What do you think on running this without scarabs and just alch n go to accrue some initial capital, or is it better to do other strats for the time being?
@@foreseerx id definitely do other strats, this strategy really needs every piece of investment to work (8 mod maps + scarabs + 4 voidstones) if you need to build up initial capital, id go with yellow map essence - thats what i used to build my money up at first

Last league the best t16 strategy was 100% Ultimatum imo, im not sure if thats still the case since theres been a lot of stealth changes to things so far this league
@@BawLoch what would you recommend for essence farming? like scarab wise? the calcification one is like 40 c and the +1 tier is 10c last i checked. i might need to stick to yellows for a bit too and not sure what investment is worth it when just getting started. thanks.
Scarab prices have skyrocketed since i ran this strat and posted this vid, they were 5c just yesterday morning off the trade market and 7c when i posted the strat. It seems like theyre being bought up by a different strat, probably people farming 8 modded maps The strat is still decent, but not great now - with updated prices its around 5-6 divines profit an hour. Itll probably come back around in a couple of weeks once the scarab economy has settled, but yeah this strat is now more a "thing to keep your eye on and run it when prices are lower" rather than a "run now" thing
How do you even make a profit at all? The price for scarabs for running 2 maps = 100c. You make back(on average) 70c. If you mean -2div per hour then yeah I agree.
I've seen a lot of people commenting about this but personally my drop rate has been consistently 1 every 2 maps on average, sometimes i get 2 maps in a run and sometimes i dont get any for 3, but the average across multiple days is about 0.5 per map.
If you run the scarab that drops 8 mod corrupted maps (which you should) you will self sustain your maps and they will all be 8 mods corrupted so no chisels.
The way I did that is Corrupt my maps an try to increase your modifiers on your atlases tree, but I highly recommend to not corrupt t17 maps way to risk, hopefully that's was somewhat useful information
Not a bait, RNG can do that - Its easy to find out if a t17 farming strategy is a bait since you can count the total amount of maps you dropped and then find 6.4% of it (the odds of a map converting to tier 17 with four voidstones) to see how many tier 17s you should have dropped In 50 maps the amount of maps i got averaged to just above a 1 in 2, i wasnt basing the video of the amount of tier 17s i got since that could be skewed by luck - i based it on the amount of total maps i got

You have 'Bold Untertakings' in your atlas tree, which can be removed if you get the left way around!
Thanks for sharing
Didnt catch that, thank you!
Would work this the same with Exarch altars instead of Eater's?
This worked 2 days ago pretty well, but stopped working today, not sure if it was nerfed in some way or what
ive been loving this build but dont you think domination on the map device would be better just to pack in more mobs?
What is the Quant craft in the spreadsheet? My googlefu is failing me i cannot figure out how to get quality on an already corrupted map in 3.25
Its just the default free craft
what buffs are you looking for on the altars? does quant/rarity do anything or are you looking only for map duplication chance
I belive that using boss as primary source of maps seems to be more profitable.

too many points for only one connected map? why?
Why do you have the chiselled perfection if you run 8 mod maps (without quality in the video)?
not using zana can't be correct?
just tested this strat, work very good, why dont you use scarab to drop 8-mod maps?

Yes, always adapt this strat to whatever the most expensive tier 17 is
any destructive play strategies yet?

how do u roll ur maps?
nvm im retarded and cant listen.. i run non 8 mod maps and had not enough % from escalation scarabs of course
Similar results unfortunately. Not 8 mods

I assume this works on any T16 map right? For example Dunes?
yes, but certain maps drop certain t17 maps, just keep that in mind

does singular focus make it so you can't drop t17s?

60c scarab for 1 map. We spend 120c for gain 1 t17 map?
1 scarab -15c , not 7
