It's amazing how the WSL keeps going like nothing happened at J-Bay. They start the heat saying that John has a bit of work to do to be in the final 5 for the finals, as if people did not remember that the judges did all the work to be done at J-Bay (against him). The shameless communication strategy of creating new collective realities so that we all forget and move on at the rythm of their new agenda never ceases to amaze me.
It is a blessing to watch John John. You can see his easy style and absolute mastery come barrel time is born out of the deepest joy and love for surfing first and foremost,or so it seems to a random kook like me.

John John is out surfing everyone, and yet the judges continue to judge him not based on his surfing versus the fields', but as jaded judges, each obviously long in the tooth, who think because they have seen John John surf this amazing before (I mean really JJF is drawing unbelievably creative and difficult lines on the waves he catches during his WSL heats) that he is undeserving of high scores. I mean that loss to Connor (what's his name) in Jeffrey's was some of the worst judging I ever witnessed.
It's just because he is white and every white seems to be carrying senseless white guilt......you didn't do anything white people chill you don't owe anything to anyone........no more white guilt
@@pablodagamamoreira619ones that have been unfairly gifted high scores because they are brown and white guilt is a real psychosis that white people suffer from. Even if they are better they will always give the brown guy the upper hand.

Agree 100 percent. I'm not one to go on and on about WSL judging but that JBay heat was absolutely bizarre.
The only thing is OLeary did the Belt of the event in that heat. Samurai Jack very not to be slept on, at all. 🤷🏼♂️🦣💫
