Because Heihachi wanted to use Jin to lure Ogre. Otherwise, he was going to treat him exactly like he treated Kazuya. Probably even worse since he wanted his devil power to make himself immortal, which is why he started hunting him post-Tekken 3.

Jin was basically a 3rd fan level fighter fighting a Tekken God Heihachi. 3rd dans don’t know how to punish yet.
Heihachi Mishima was an actually the true deuteragonist Character in every Tekken including this movie.
For better or worse that is the case. It was his wife, Kazumi that unwittingly set up the events in the series in motion with Heihachi beginning a ruthless journey at uncovering the circumstances of the Devil Gene, with Kazuya’s journey in Dark territory was hatred, revenge and nothing else, just to kill his father and avenge himself and his mother, who unknown to him set the dark path both men walked. It was the love of the mother that started the feud between Father and Son.
@@coletrain583 Kazumi targeted Heihachi because he betrayed Jinpachi and took over Mishima Zaibatsu and planned to take over the world so Heihachi was already evil before Kazumi attacked him (which caused him to turn on his family).

Here in Brazil the voice actor of Heihachi is a well know old man voice for a lot of us who grew with his work, it's really well done.
I did not notice in the game that Heihachi hold Jun in such a high esteem
Her family and her family's style of karate in general, her in particular however, she was one of the strongest he fought during the second Iron Fist Tournament (before the events of this game), Kazuya respected her as a fighter more than anyone else he had to fight even more than his own son.

@@forteexe1335 He surpassed Kazuya and Heihachi at the same time in Tekken 4 just using traditional Karate. Jin was stronger than them since Tekken 3, but he became weaker after his fight with Azazel to make Tekken 8 story more dramatic. He was basically nerfed for the sake of the plot.

It's plain to see that heihachi was trying to remove the weaknesses that his daughter in law Jun installed in jin. He is a good teacher.

The only down side is that they used the jin ending insted of the heachi ending ( having acount tekken 7 story using the heachi ending would had made more sense, like if oogre can absorve devil gene out of jin them heachi kills true oogre (eleminating in teory the devil gene) it gives a better reason for heachi to do what he did)

Heihachi needs a deeper voice in English. He always had bassy, deep voice. And always growled in his voice.
If you switch to the Japanese audio track the voice is done perfectly.
In the end,Jin surpassed Heihachi and Kazuya :)
