For people questioning this fight they literally explained it through Heihachi Ling did her homework. And strategized on how to beat Nina. To make up for her Lack of experience, she let her opponent tire herself out to be able to deal with finishing blow
Im sorry but not when we actually pay attention to the movements and dont disregard their methods. Nina as a character is designed with very little flashy techniques. Its all limited movements and basic strikes intended for precision lethality. Ling on the other hand is constantly rolling, flipping and leaping 15 feet into the air. Strange fight. Nina is not one to get mad easily, at best, sarcastic. Also Nina was able to keep up with Heihachi in Tekken 7, hard to believe she'd lose to Xiaoyu and that Xiaoyu had enough hand to hand combat experience at this time to keep up with the likes of Nina/Anna.
Agreed. Both Nina's and Xiaoyu's personality were different than from what we know from the game. They wanted Xiaoyu to win so she won. Don't know why. I have a feeling that no matter what many people who are fans of Tekken will have a disagreement with how this fight went mainly because of the change in the personality of the characters.
That’s because ling is robot in this series. Jumping, evading, moving, has injured arm and neck but still has no sign of tiredness or exhaustion whereas nina had shown it. Realistically xiaoyu lost when nina almost broke one of her arms joint part.
Let's all remember that NIna during the events of Tekken 3 has been in cryogenic sleep for 15 years and had also suffered amnesia from it. Stands to reason why she would be quite weakened, but she was still a very dangerous fighter. She just got cocky because of Xiao's carefree nature.
But thanks to that same experimentation you speak of, she also become superhuman for it. Why do you think Steve Fox has that deformation on his left arm?

People who complain that Xiaoyu wins despite being in a joint lock - remember, there were many times in the games where characters could take joint locks, neck breaks, spine twists and other crippling or fatal blows and holds and all it did was knock a chunk of life bar off. That's why it's easy for me to shrug it off and say 'just like the games'.
I'm a xiaoyu player, and I think it's plausible that Xiaoyu can beat Nina no matter how strong she is. I have beaten many good Nina and King players online with Xiaoyu. Xiaoyu's strengths are that due to her speed, her small size, and her ability to dodge attacks from her, it makes it very possible to counterattack with her after dodging an attack, which is the strategy I use. It would have been possible for her to beat King if she had kept her distance, considering King is a hold master. I never sit still defending when I play against a King player, since if he grabs me once I'm screwed.
Ling main here too. While I was pleased that Ling won against Nina. I was displeased with how she lost against King. Simply because meta wise Ling is a poor match up for King. I would have accepted her beating King and then getting beaten by Nina instead.
Tekken 7 impresses me in how well balanced it is, and how all characters are viable (with perhaps only one or two exceptions like Gigas or Kuma). Part of it being that characters have so many tools they can adapt to pretty much anyone. Take the King vs Xiaoyu matchup for instance. King's normal game-plan doesn't work against Ling, but a more defensive King who's willing to hold back and leverage their mids and punishment options can give a Ling player a hard time.
Haha nice try. Ling received a lot of damages from nina’s attacks and should cause decreases on her move and attack speed due to it’s arm’s joint injury and neck strain. Ling’s fighting style’s way more energy draining than nina’s so logically ling’s stamina should wear off sooner than nina’s. It’s not ling able to beat nina. It’s plot armor.
Lorewise... Didn't Jin fought Nina in the tournament breaking her from some sort of spell or mind control... That's why she sided with Jin in tekken 6 as his right hand and bodyguard... But feel free to correct me if i'm wrong...
You know, it would be interesting if a Tekken game have an energy/stamina bar that makes you tired after doing too much combo moves to prevent spamming attacks.

Likely, that or she was just irritating to Nina in general. You have to remember that Nina is a trained killer who's only focus is her mission and she's been through quite alot, so naturally she would be annoyed by Xiaoyu who can afford to care about trivial things like amusement parks
Coming from a guy that isn't a fan of Tekken and hardly knows anything about it, this fight is the best example of what Bloodline is, and we all know what it is: Not enough to flesh out due to the show having six episodes and leaving us hardly knowing about them if you aren't already a fan of the series. Like, let's look at Nina. When she first appeared, it seemed that she was going far in the tournament and was set up to be one of Jin's opponents since she constantly talked about how evil and cruel his father was, like she had firsthand experience of that cruelty. Therefore Jin would have been facing the many sins of his father, and what very little I know about her is that she got her sister named Anna, that was in this tournament, and they have beef. So you believe that even if she doesn't, she at least is gonna face one of them...until she gets knocked down by Xiaoyu, some chick that was Jin's classmate that we saw in a brief montage with no dialogue; thus, besides fans already of the series, we have no idea who she is or her fighting style. And how she won the fight is kinda bullshit. Like her strategy was to let Nina tire herself out first before going on the offense and taking her down. But the problem was Nina wasn't showing any type of fatigue, and it was honestly Xiaoyu that was getting tired from constantly dodging and taking Nina's attacks. But somehow, she was able to break off from Nina's hold and takes her down quickly even though Nina was dominating the fight and was nowhere as tired or beat up as Xiaoyu. So it's bullshit that she won.
Also realistically xiaoyu shouldn’t able to lift her arm and mover her neck part due to one of her arm’s joint part broke and neck strain caused by nina. Unless she’s robot ofc. The writing here is so awkward in this clip like ling has not shown any sign of exhaustion not even a little bit of tiredness after executing those jumps, fast moves, evading etc. those also should wear off her stamina at certain point. Realistically, xiaoyu’s fighting style’s more energy draining than nina’s.
Soo Xiaoyu uses Baguazhang and Piguaquan fighting martial arts where you move around being evasive and grappling(xiaoyu is not strong grappler) opponents and using less of stamina in offense mostly they use opponents' attacking force back to the opponent.

Agreed. Nina always gave off the impression that she is strategic in how she goes about things. That's why her fighting style is based around pressure points of the body, doing things that can incapacitate her opponent. It's why I found this fight to be pretty BS. Xiaoyu during the Tekken 3 era was decent but still had a lot to learn and it would've been appropriate for her to lose against Nina and use that as motivation to get better.
The problem for me is not that Xiaoyu wins, in fact i don't mind her beating Nina. However, my real problem is HOW she wins. They make her victory over Nina look way too easy. This could have been a moment for Xiaoyu to realize that she has to take Nina seriously or she could be floored, instead of "Ha she ain't so tough!" attitude. Also Nina looks very incompetent and unprofessional assassin to lose her composure to little girl so easily which out of character of her
Late reply but. Nina is an all attack character while xiaoyu is an evasive character, that high force kicks and punches from Nina might have taken toll on her while an acrobatic xiaoyu is kinda used to it. A smack on the face kina did it to her. You always kinda make your oponent tired

For people questioning this fight they literally explained it through Heihachi
Ling did her homework. And strategized on how to beat Nina. To make up for her Lack of experience, she let her opponent tire herself out to be able to deal with finishing blow
For real. If not for Nina being a bit tired out, her hold against Xiaoyu would be tight enough for Xiao to be unable to free herself.
Just because she's running away the entire time, doesnt mean she's using less energy. What he said doesnt match with whats going on.

Yeah and since when did Xiaoyu become so flirt-ish. Nina loosing her composure is just unbelievable.
Let's all remember that NIna during the events of Tekken 3 has been in cryogenic sleep for 15 years and had also suffered amnesia from it.

The move Xiaoyu used at the end does a lot of damage in the actual game, one of her deadliest attacks. Makes sanse she finished her off with that.

Xiaoyu reminds me of her Tekken 4 version.
the shadow always stuck on their forehead
Xiaoyu players are spoiled with mobility tools and crushing. This is why she wins.

Did Ling say those naive stuff on purpose to get under Nina's skin?
Iirc in Tekken 3, only Ling has a taunt move that does absolutely nothing.

@@a3lorenzo You're probably right but Nina is a tough lady, she could've handled it and it would've made more sense lol.
@@stevefox6536 Alright Nina's son, how do you think Nina fares against opponents like this? Do you think she gets angry? Do you think she gets tired? Not at all. No offense but if your username is literally Steve Fox, Nina's biological son than you must know her lore, her personality and fighting style, this show is not it. I believe a lot of Nina mains and fans are upset about the fact she lost, I'm more upset about how she lost and the way the producers of the show portrayed her.
@@stevefox6536evaded? Ling literally stand there and took more damages from nina. But her body has no sign of any arm or neck injuries. I would be in pain to move arm freely after taking someone’s grabbing my arms and break it. Realistically, ling’s fighting style’s way more energy draining than nina’s. Ling should be easily tired than nina in real fight.
Eu amo tekken, essa animaçao ficou maravilhosa! queria mais
None of you are paying attention to how Nina loss. Heihachi said that Xiaoyu was using strategy to defeat Nina and are not paying attention to how. All of Xiaoyu taunts and behaver was reminding Nina of the person that she hates the most, Anna. And the fact that she's a kid with the same flirty, argent, just want to have fun character and think of Nina as a joke was all it took to push her buttons.
Why am I just now finding out about this show's existence???
I know damn well Xiaoyu has never been this arrogant.🤨
