Can you just imagine what the alien's buddies' reactions were when they found the mutilated corpse of the alien the marines were dissecting? The degree of horror of "oh fudge, why did we ever come to THIS planet?!!"
“Bruh we messed with the wrong species”
-Alien
I think it would also piss them off even more. Much like how Americans found bodies of their captured comrades during the Pacific Campaign of WW2.
"And they will find the evidence of our cruelty in the disemboweled, dismembered and disfigured bodies of their brothers we leave behind us, and the Aliens won't be able to help themselves but to imagine the cruelty their brothers endured at our hands, and our boot heels, and the edge of our knives"
@@ChryseCoder Considering what they were doing to unarmed civilians in their attack, they have little reason to complain about what we did to that wounded alien. What do you think they did to the marines they dragged off when the patrol was attacked at the beginning?
@@HenriqueOliveira-of5er sounds like something out of 40k, ngl
I can appreciate an alien invasion movie that doesn't just give the aliens everything-proof deflector shields.
This was a more even fight.
Weapons are also almost the same.
and they're only want our water...
Really says everything about our capabilities fighting against aliens with the same level.
As a (retired surgeon) who has actually performed postmortem examination, I think that it is necessary to try to look at an alien's anatomy to try to find similarities to mammalian anatomy, if any. The circulatory system would be my first point of analysis and trying to find the "pump" system, if any existed. This particular specimen looked rather "gelatinous." This is not the best carapace for an organism because of the tendency to lose hydration. Gelatinous structures offer little "defense" from opposing micro-organisms.
The carapace of an animal is the first defense from micro-organisms and loss of bodily fluids. If I were to encounter an alien organism that was gelatinous, the first line of my fire against them would be to spray them with earthly micro-organisms. I would start out with organisms that could live well at different temperatures, so that the "mixture" would not have to be refrigerated. I would suggest E. coli as the first weapon.
This would be immediately absorbed by the body of the aliens. The spray would not likely be toxic to humans. This would be more toxic than even weapon's fire, because any alien so sprayed would transmit it to other aliens in their proximity.
They would have no defenses against it.

Soldiers in the field are probably gonna go rough in their field analyses of xenobiology.
@@udasai “Shootouts” and discharge of weapons is what moviegoers want. But reality requires a better, biological approach.
It is unlikely that alien biology is well suited to our ecosystem. We take our ecosystem for granted, because we are adapted to it.
Just because an alien species has better weapons, does not necessarily predispose them for survival here.

Well, if all the military defecated in the same direction all at once, battle won!
Videos have been done about the aliens (called the BLAA) and their origins. They seem to be an aquatic species, likely from an oceanic planet, and have gone through extensive cybernetic enhancement in order to compliment their specific caste system. The enhancements likely boost their immune system, and as far as anyone knows, their genetics have likely been fortified in order to resist viral influence. I mean, we're talking about an interstellar species that already has the technology to travel between the stars, in which I'm pretty sure they had to do some extensive work on their adaptability in order to prepare for foreign pathogenic influence.
This is the guy ima look for when the Aliens come. Too bad your no longer in CA!
"Nice, we can kill these things much easier now by aiming for this spot that's hidden right behind multiple layers of tough skin, bones and whatnot. Surely that'll be more than doable in the middle of a raging gunfight."
Crap like that made me disappointed with the film. I occasionally hate watch clips to remind me why.
Bullets can punch right into them, but without hitting the right spot, the damage is negligible at best.
@@BrowncoatGofAZ
Like the case with roaches.
5.56 NATO rounds can absolutely punch through that and do the needed internal damage.
the weird thing is, it's located around the center anyway and it's a pretty big organ, isn't the center mass the place where we dump bullets during firefight? how come they couldn't kill those aliens, where were they aiming? the balls?
The aliens dragged off marines at the start of the patrol, want to bet they were doing the same thing to our people?
Maybe, they had just executed an entire suburb though so I imagine they had a strong grasp already lol
@@jimzeez The thought I had was they wanted to know if there was any differences between our civilian population and our soldiers.

Alternately known as "How an interstellar pitstop for water" turned into a ground defensive action. (Alien's perspective.) 🤣
so true, they definitely did the same. except they would have found out they could just shoot or injure us anywhere lol
So nobody talks about the alien's bodily fluids splattering out and the marines risk getting infected with some sort of extraterrestrial virus, bacteria, contaminants etc that we see in other alien movies which are usually life-threatening and deadly.
Desperate measures. Didn’t exactly have time to put on a hazmat suit.
I mean when the alien invaders are only a few feet away from you, alien AIDS are probably the last thing you fear or care
My luck it would turn out the last organ is just the alien's spleen and it actually died from bleeding out from all the other places I cut it.
What i like about this scene other then the dissecting part is that. When the Aliens breached and there were all these explosion. The marine said "we're running out of time." Thinking its the airforce doing bombing runs a little bit early, but it wasnt the airforce. It was the alien airforce starting their bombing runs.
Since you can see in the shots where the sky is shown, the aliens are dominating the air from low to high altitudes.
"Maybe I can help. I'm a vetinarian"
"Thanks, but I doubt you can help if you don't even know how to say the name of your own profession correctly. The word is *veterinarian.*"
So the key is to... shoot center mass?
The exact thing you've presumably been trained to do?
I suspect the point was to avoid the usual nitpick of WELL HOW WOULD WE KNOW BULLETS WOULD EVEN WORK.
no. "to the right of where the heart would be " the heart isn't in the middle. if you're looking directly at somebody it's off to the right a bit. so "to the right of where the heart would be" is basically around the left armpit.
@@jonnyb70 Basically left lung
Getting stabbed by Aaron Eckhart is probably still less demeaning than being knocked out by Will Smith.
So they had to disect that thing to figure out you need to aim where our heart would be? Isnt the center of mass where soldiers are trained to shoot at anyway?
But they had no idea if that was effective for all they know vital spots could have been in the head, you see aliens dragging of soldiers at the beginning likey trying to see how we die too.
Yes😂
I mean it's an alien species, maybe they have t'he heart on a totally diferent place
@@eduardvivestarda5912 you mean like in their buttocks?
Yes, but being an alien, they couldnt be sure of where the best place to hit was until they did the disection.
Especially considering these Aliens can take shoots that would kill a human.
So figuring out where to actually hit was important.
LOL I remember watching this with two friends and I definitely got grief when this scene came on, because I'm a veterinarian.
Gives whole new meaning to the term, "Combat Vet" 🤣
@@NightRunner417 Actually I am a combat vet also USMC, Desert Storm. So when I get together with friends for The Marine Corps Birthday, it gets kind of confusing. I see a lot of vet's pets. So I'm a vet vet??
@@covingtoncreek A _literal_ combat vet vet then. You can literally watch that scene in the movie and say "Well, she's halfway there." 🤣
Thank you for your service, sir. 🙂
@@NightRunner417 Thanks! One of the guys I watched that movie with was in Vietnam. Another Marine. Man he has some stories. But we had a blast watching the movie.
"Oh lord have mercy" 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
I still love this movie.
i really like this movie, but this part here should have landed on the editing floor. This is still a really fun movie!
ngl lowkey felt bad for the alien. Like any enemy, could you imagine you're injured enough to not be able to move, then your enemies drag you into a room and start cutting you open and stabbing your organs? Like that's fucked
Should of thought of that before they invaded our world and killed our people. Geneva Convention doesn't cover xeno scum, only human beings.
In the immortal words of Agent J, "Don't start nothin', won't BE nothin'!"
That's what German Nazis did to some Jews, Poles, Gypsies and other people in death camps. Go ahead and google Josef Mengele
If an enemy is dying the US troops are allowed to medically experiment on them
Google Eddie Gallagher
Humanity first. All others are inferior
Decent film. Whatshisname always does a good job.
They should have also figured out the most tasty parts of the alien. But, I think the Japanese were working on that.
Adorable
Technically that was a vivisection, not an autopsy.
Maybe I can help, I've seen this movie
To the right of the heart... as he has the knife in its stomach
I would like to see an expansion of these aliens, they seen interesting
I think we found its weakness, bullets
They were looking for a kill shot no point to waste a ton of bullets if it takes forever to kill one
Ah yes! The movie with the veterinarian who somehow does shit way beyond her capacity and knowledge 😂😂
I always felt the technology difference in this movie was like modern day military (Aliens) fighting against WWII tech (Us).
Oh boy, I think we invaded the wrong species. 😂
I thought left and right was always in reference to the subject, not the observer.
Isn't that to the left of where the liver would be???
That’s some “Funky Town”-level crap.
Wow! Pretty solid message to invaders, right? =))
Checking to see how to kill an alien is really smart
an alien race so advanced they made it across light years of distance to attack another intelligent life civlization theres no way we can win against them, it would even take us years to get to another planet inside our solar system.
Is there gonna be military prisons for aliens
I should think the smog in Los Angeles is enough to kill those space aliens.
You don't address a staff sergeant as "Staff Sergeant" when you're talking to them. You just say "Sergeant." Little things like that just ruin military movies for veterans.
In the marines you address a e-5 and above by their exact rank like sergeant, staff sergeant, gunnery sergeant, but in the army you can address an E-5 through E-7 as sergeant any rank above would be master sergeant or first sergeant or sergeant major etc
I sure would be worried about infection control and picking up some extraterrestrial microbes, bacteria and whatever else could infect me.
They've got bigger problems to worry about
Um... So they've learned shoot where the heart would be. I'd have to imagine they were all doing that intuitively anyway.
Is this based on a true story?
This is a war crime
Geneva Convention doesn't cover aliens so it's not a war crime
This happened in real life
It actually did. Look up Battle of Mactan 1521. And the natives won against the aliens.
“That’s how we kill this thing. To the right of where the heart would be.”
… So, just aim for center mass? Isn’t that?? Where soldiers are normally trained to shoot???
no. "to the right of where the heart would be " the heart isn't in the middle. if you're looking directly at somebody it's off to the right a bit. so "to the right of where the heart would be" is basically around the left armpit.
@@jonnyb70 Precisely, you can aim at "center mass", but they're obviously not actually putting the aliens down. So they're dissecting a wounded one to figure out EXACTLY where the weak spot(s) are.
Obviously, anywhere in "center mass" for a Human is possibly fatal, even in the stomach. But with these Aliens, "center mass" just isn't going to cut it, so they've narrowed it down to where exactly to shoot for best results.
Does the GC apply here? Because we just vivisected a prisoner.
Lol anyone else realize this was technically a war crime?
The Geneva Convention only cover Human beings. There's nothing about aliens getting the same regard. Especially when they are the ones invading and killing us.
So it's not a war crime due to a technicality.
Did anyone else notice that the alien was still alive during the "autopsy?"
That's the point. They won't know what's vital if it's already dead.
Thanks God you are here to crack the code for us.
@fabmax41 it ain't much, but it's honest work
I like this movie. It's dumb action, but it's my kinda dumb action. And this was a good premise for a scene, it just played out a bit too dumb. The idea of learning more about your alien enemy to know how to better defeat them is great. It's just that the lethal spot is still center mass, which is already where soldiers should be shooting anyway.
The smell would be appalling, something missed here.
american saving the world from alien
world? its only an us invasion
Who else? The frenchys? 😂😂
aliens trying to save the world from america :)
The entire world was attacked in this movie
We definitely should've built that great big beautiful wall to keep those aliens out!
@getnaenaed4222 and the entire world is covered with American military bases everywhere, the US dollar is ruling economies and American investment companies along with american intelligence agencies are blackmailing countries into doing the bidding of the US which makes way for the US to act as the world police and basically occupy the whole world whether directly or indirectly. So yeah, these aliens are basically freeing the whole world from the USA
Why are you so obsessed about America?
