- The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series heads to Farmer City Raceway for Illinois Speedweek on Friday, May 10, 2024.
Brandon Sheppard scored the win in the inaugural edition of the 'Farmer City 74', taking the $25,000 victory in 2023. Bobby Pierce returns to Farmer City after winning the World of Outlaws-sanctioned Illini 100 in April.

Racers like Thornton, who win over and over again, are really hurting the sport of racing. I'm not questioning their skill. Thornton is great. But look across the country. When a skilled driver wins all the races and makes all the money, fans stop watching, and drivers can't make enough to continue racing. Everyone loses.
