I just bought a Kubota RTV x 1100C about 6 mths ago .slow but works awsome .nice and warm for hunting and trapping in eastern Canada .And love the AC for our dam humid summers .
Trapper J oh with all the signs of bob cat tracks on that place you will definitely get one for sure!! When I go into a place like that I definitely just litter the place with steel right off the get go!! You definitely want to catch them first thing because over time will just make them smarter & harder to catch!! I set up a place years ago that had a ton of bob cat tracks coyote tracks everything!! I had out over 100 traps & over 50 restraints on this property & it definitely worked in my favor!! After the first two checks nothing came back threw for over two weeks!! They were used to the area because no one had ever trapped it before & no one hunted it eaither!! They were so used to the area until they started to see there buddy getting caught & wanted nothing to do with it!! They can be very smart animals you just have to out smart them & it can be done!!!
Jay for the future a killer blind set for a bobcat once there is snow and we get a melt and then a freeze and there is a inch crust on top but they already have a trail going that cat will step in those exact spots time after time if you can find a distinct trail you simply cut out a little hole a little ways away from the trail pull off that Cabo crusted snow tunnel under the snow and place your trap directly under where he is going to step I made a little template with a stick on it so that I could get in their packet down make sure that the placement was correct and I actually made beds for my traps I casted them out of mortar. It was deadly it’s totally deadly you’ll catch that cat.
Compared to places you've picked up cats before, that's a crazy amount of tracks for a day or so. Their's either one super busy cat or it's loaded with them. Could limit out early.
I'm in the market for a sxs as well. I've settled kn the Honda pioneer 700 4. I like the transmission and options with the bed. Daggum they are proud of them though
I have a pair of bolt cutters that I ground the first 3/4" of the cutters edges FLAT and I use that as a crimper for my ferrules. That leaves the rear edges, near the pivot point, still sharp for cutting bolts, rods, etc. I clamp ONE handle of the bolt cutter/crimper into a vise on the side of my bench. This way I don't have to keep picking up my cutters and planting one end against the bench, and leaves my one hand free to hold the ferrule in place. I was wondering what you were making at the 5:30 mark?! lol Happens to me all the time if I try doing to things at once!!!
I got some Bridger 3s fully modified, I had them set for coyotes and bobcat and I caught a young bcat and it broke it’s leg, is changing the traps to 2 coil and adding a third swivel enough to prevent that.
I have deep snow where I’m from and I will lay a snowshoe trail they will often use that but I will always find a place where they cross it usually coming to and from A den.
I didnt know you could crimp with a bolt cutter. We think of the fox as a mouse hunter, but all predators hunt mice. I have even seen cougar do it. They run out of rabbits and sick deer eventually.
I bought a Polaris 1000 premium edition and it is perfect for hunting and trapping. I never realized how much crap I had and how I even hauled it on my 4 wheeler.
Man I know you really want to come trap Minnesota... But our ground is frozen solid. It really sucks... Digging in new trap beds is no fun when the ground is this hard.
Love to watch you trap, learning so much, but I have a question for ya. Have you ever run across any weird structures in the woods, and have you ever had any animals taken?? Thanks for your videos
How many sets did you end up putting out? And how long did it take you? Just wondering because I feel like I am extremely unorganized, I make several trips back to my machine to get things, I usually end up leaving my wolf fang tool at a previous set at least once during the day. You just seem more organized.
Also, been meaning to ask you forever! How has that Hart drill been holding out for you? I saw that you were using one and I went and bought one myself because I could not stand the idea of taking my expensive Dewalt out into the wet weather. And the price on the Hart was not bad. I did buy two extra 1.5 ah batteries for backup.
@@TrapperJOutdoors Here is a payback tip for you! I use this to dig out my trap bed and bury my stake in the center of the hole. The only mod I did was to take my angle grinder and sharpen the edges just a tad so that it cut the hard ground a little easier. My MB 550s fit almost perfect! I use a "cookie cutter" just to get my levers set equally in the hole. www.forestry-suppliers.com/product_pages/products.php?mi=68530&itemnum=69127
Personally we have lots of experience with rangers in trapping and farm work a 900 ranger loaded with weight is not to much power i would go with a 900 fuel injected personally
Bet I catch as many or more yotes as you this season I only use cable restraints they are amazing I get coyotes every day or try to last 4 days 4 coyotes friendly bet if you get more than me I'll send you homemade bait and set scent i make
Its bleeding internally at the very least. Well just by the track & sign so far. I know it sounds crazy, but I'm pretty sure it's been shot, has disease or took a spill or car struck.
Can’t wait for you to start checking

Shit Yeah J!! You've got that cat hotel set up well!! Can't wait to see your first check.
Awsome Trappin grounds dude great sets.
Peace Brotha.
I can’t wait to do some trapping in Iowa , I hopefully will close escrow on my farm in November .

I square Knot them to my Anchor just make your anchor top loop big enough. Can separate them back apart that away and save stakes.
How come I caught myself talking back to the tv telling you that you forgot to hook up to the cable before crimping it
Damn that was a lot of sign.

Works great for fox tool which always use that same trail it will look like they went through there one time in through the 20.
That drill hurt my teeth lol made me feel like I was at the dentist 😄
Now is the time to get icicles and shinny tinsel . Lowes and Home Depot and Walmart have it on clearance 50 % to 90% off .

Time to make a 5 gallon bucket sifter mount!

Is that wax dirt you are using? Great Vids keep making them for us!
How far back from the hole is the pan? Is it straight back or off to one side a little?
Be CAREFUL next week and dress WARM, as you are suppose to get some FRIGID ARCTIC AIR coming in with SEVERE WIND CHILLS!!!

You are in CAT CITY CENTRAL! Also all people say that those cats have a big area that is true but if there’s food there sticking aroundb.b
Why no blind sets on the trails?
