Mate this is such a relatable video. The state of content creation for the 4wd industry doesn't help with that feeling of getting rid of the car. I think there's so many glam builds and products being thrown at us that we feel kinda helpless with our basic budget family friendly cars. We feel almost pathetic compared to them because it's all we see. Brand new 200s getting chopped and extended. Massive caravans. TD GQ's with 20k just in shiny engine mods. And in the next episode, they're gone and a new car is taking the spotlight It makes us feel insecure. I've felt it, felt like my car is a waste and not good enough, felt like I should sell it and buy a 75, do a crazy build on that. But even that makes me feel worse because I know I'm attached to my car, and I know the 75 would most like turn into the same issue, throw parts at it, hope it becomes something it won't, feel sad because it'll never be what I see online. Cycle repeats itself. Few things to remember, if you're in the shits about how much you've spent or are about to spend, just remember you won't get it back in sale price. Also take it out for a weekend. That always helps Don't buy into the BS and flashy garbage on social media, it's made to make you feel insecure and buy more garbage to fill that void. Spend that time using the 60 for what it's built for Remember that builds don't need to be ground breaking. Your 60 has more mods that 90 percent of 4wds out there. It's the body dysmorphia of 4wds and car. What really opened my eyes was my big VHC trip I did in January. The majority of 4wds I saw whilst out there across the entire trip were very modest pajeros, prados, Subarus and Mazda bt50s. Not 200k 70 series cruisers or sasd hiluxes, no charged y62s. A couple modest 79s, some beefy patrols. We covered everything start from woods point to almost jyndabine, so we saw a lot of country. The reality out there is very different to what social media plays on our mind.
Head up J man! I respect the rawness of this video and indecisiveness of what to do next. Just having purchased a 60 myself knowing what’s ahead is a little daunting $$ pit 😅 I feel like a lot of TH-camrs are just out for a money grab these days. Coming across your content was a blessing. Just you the camera and the 60 bus. Agreed about Aussie Arvos also keeping it real and thinking outside the box from the same old boring content
Mate keep at it honestly these videos inspire and help me to work on my HJ61 honestly the advice about the sound deadening and cleaning is tops and even building the centre console 👍👍👍 quality content man
Life’s too short to regret anything man, I’ve got a 60 myself and she’s a dream but if it isn’t your dream then fuck it mate get something you love! Chopped 60s with tubs are off the chain but if you’re regretting the money it’ll be a whole new ball game chopping a 60. Compliance and engineering in Vic for chopped 60s is cooked, many thousands down the drain just for that. 70s are sick too. Just please god not a navara lmao
Get a Diesel. I love my HJ. It will half your fuel bill! Tick tock sucks I really don’t understand the attraction. Always seems like young girls dancing :) Yep do more camping stuff. But do interesting places not extreme break your car 4wd destroy the track stuff. Just medium challenge. You could have done this video sitting by a campfire eating a toasted bacon and egg sandwich 🤠
Don't sell the 60. Think about what U could do to the 60 for the price of a 79! Maybe U could do realistic rig rundown vids with other 60 owners that are just doing what they can with what they have.
Maybe help other guys fix their 60. Get a patreon for donations and at the end of the year donate the remaining to charity. You could build a community and start to become someone people think of when they think 60.

Mate, you are spot on with the body dysmorphia parrelel. Thank you so much for saying all that. It’s nice to know I’m not alone

That’s super nice of you to say mate. Thank you
After watching all the progress you’ve made with it and how much joy that car has given all of us I would hate to see it go
That means a lot. Thank you mate

Single cab 79 with the FTE motor mate !
Can’t go wrong
I wouldn’t get rid of the 60 you’ve put allot of work into it and it’s a rad rig.
Get a Diesel. I love my HJ. It will half your fuel bill!

79's are the tik tok equivalent of cars
It’s true. I am a sucka

Great idea mate. I agree. The 60 could be wild with that money
I agree mate I hate wagons had one for a few years.
Just not as versatile. And I’m a trade at heart. I just love them
It's a hard choice 😕

Dude that’s a wild idea.
I had a similar thought to be honest.
Just buy and fix and sell. But it’s costly mate. Maybe one day tho
Sell the 60 while they are still worth a bit !!
That’s a hot take! I don’t think I’d get a whole lot
come on man
I paid 20k for it and dumped another 30k into it.
I feel the pain mate
