- I managed to get my hands on the batch 7 release of the kilkerran Heavily Peated whisky.
Coming from the Glendale distillery in Campbeltown, Scotland, this highly sort after release quickly sells out once it hits public sale!!
Is this one whisky that's worth chasing or is it overrated?

Bought a bottle of this today. The first one I had was the Batch 5 which absolutely blew me away. After that I then had these:
1. Batch 1 - it was OK but lacked the body and complexity.
2. Batch 3 - Much better that Batch 1 but not up to the standard of Batch 5.
3. Batch 6 - A massive disappointment after Batch 5, Make not mistake it's good but not nearly as good as 5.
After a few reviews I had seen where people said this was a return to Batch 5 type complexity and strength, I decided to get a bottle. I'll open it later this week.
Last thing...
Apologies to find fault, but it seems you are reading off notes during the review which seems a little strange. Makes the review come across as a little canned and a comparison against some other tasting notes rather than a full subjective opinion of the whisky.
But that aside, can't wait to pour this one.
