@@Chris-ng3gz it wouldn't have mattered, opponent still had the choice of tapping the land to take 1 damage in response to LVD casting second rite, putting him at 9 and denying the card effect
@@bdub884 Well the smart thing is of course that letting the nightmare resolve would put the opponent to 9, which he knows. Therefore opponent may surmise LvD does not have a second rite.
@@braedenwinstead1984 True, but this deck is the sneaky kind of evil. Nobody would think of playing this in Standard. Kenji had some spicy wins in his latest quick draft video with this.
At the foundations prerelease I had two of these in my deck. I only won 2 out of the 6 games I played that night. Both wins were with hidetsugus second rite 😂
I thought so too, attack for two guaranteed, then the death trigger resulting from Beseech sacrificing the (surviving) enchantment creature will resolve before the Beseech resolves. Right?
Second rite in boros burn is so fast. If you curve out they die at turn 4 before doing anything, and not drawing rite just means they die a turn later.
Great analysis, thank you! I need some advice: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
I think that card could be actually playable if it couldn't get countered and if it would do some damage to the opponent (2 or 3) when the 10 life condition is not met
11:10 if the opponent tapped both battlefield forges for 1 life each, bringing them from 11 to 9, they could’ve stopped your plan right? Especially since you only had 2 mana. I guess they are probably scared but not sure about exactly what
@LegenVD Doesn't the extra damage from the desert cost the deck some control? Is the tradeoff of having a tapped land worth that extra, but potentially compromising 1 damage? Game four 4 was perhaps an outlier, but in such a low curve deck it's an interesting choice either way
Glad the rite was downgraded to uncommon. When an opponent can hose your wincon just by pinging themselves with their lands to 9 life, it makes the games a lot trickier.
YOUVE ACTIVATED MY TRAP CARD
That was the best
peak and hype moment
lost it at the "you've activated my trap card" line lmao
"You've already had rite."
"But what about second rite?"
Match 4 "Any land will do" - subtle foreshadowing there
13:57 was the biggest brain play
couldn't he have just attacked with lost teeth? if they block they go to 10. if they don't they still go to 10
@@Chris-ng3gz it wouldn't have mattered, opponent still had the choice of tapping the land to take 1 damage in response to LVD casting second rite, putting him at 9 and denying the card effect
Surely it’s the basic play you make when playing this deck 😂

that video was hilarious . how many players must’ve been tilted asf losing at 10hp hahaha . evil legend
I remember my first arena deck I built was brewer’s kitchen combo deck with hidetsugu’s and Torgaar!
What a blast from the past!
Finally! I've been waiting for this deck. Thank you.
2nd game is what MTG needs to be!!
YOU ACTIVATED MY TRAP CARD!
Thank you for the upload today! Amazing!
LVD is going full villain arc for the better part of the last videos.
Nahhh rakdos is pretty much always fair gaming, nothing more fair than straight up damage to the face

Honestly I'm here for it, his polite speech is hilarious when paired with these evil decks
@@lairdbob True, he's the kind of villain you can't help but root for.
NO! I was rooting for the opponent on Game 2 not to make the mistake of leaving that ONE pain land ON PURPOSE at 11 life, and then using it 🤣🤣.
oh, my, legend, this might be your funniest deck for some reason
This is dope
Very strange and fun deck😁
Now you gotta do a Triskaidekaphobia deck!
At the foundations prerelease I had two of these in my deck. I only won 2 out of the 6 games I played that night. Both wins were with hidetsugus second rite 😂
In match 6, couldn't you attack with the fear of teeth for a guaranteed 3 damage in combination with sacrificing a fear to the beseech at 31:45 ?
I thought so too, attack for two guaranteed, then the death trigger resulting from Beseech sacrificing the (surviving) enchantment creature will resolve before the Beseech resolves. Right?
Yup, I came to the comments for the same reason. Those creeps are pretty useful to get to 10
I like the look of this, considering slagstorm for the sideboard, what do you think? Any auto includes that spring to mind?
I had some nice wins in my blue red draft with hidetsugu, gave me 2, 3 good lols.

This is so fucking janky. I love it.
what about a couple of demolition fields to try to counter the painland stall?
I think that card could be actually playable if it couldn't get countered and if it would do some damage to the opponent (2 or 3) when the 10 life condition is not met
Maybe getting that annoying bat as a evasive form of damage that also snatch one card from the opponent?
Ten is the loneliest number that you'll ever do
Playing pain lands never felt so good against this deck
Poison counters should be 21 a player dies. And the last time I played against someone on line the card suck at explaining when the counters apply.

Ain't no way they know and play around it that long just to get baited anyway in match 2 🤣
Would think it would be very difficult to make opponent have exactly 10 life, with all the painlands and such
Any consideration for running some amount of Valgavoth's Lair as extra fodder for Beseech the Mirror?
It's an option but should have enough as is.
